Beautiful genuine log cabin. Clean and decorated with antique style art . Quiet, the Mitsubishi air conditioning worked great. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The directions for the entry and WiFi were simple to follow.The steps upstairs were steep, there were nice handholds to keep you safe. Loved it.

The cabin was adorable. It had a lot of charm, beautiful decor and a very comfortable bed. The town is quaint and cute. It rained, so we couldn’t use the fire pit but it was a nice touch. I would recommend adding a hot tub and some new towels would have been nice for the price. Listing exactly as described though! Just my personal recommendation for a 5 star review.

Such a quiet cozy cabin. I loved it. Located close by to a lot of restaurants, convenient stores, and hikes. The cabin has everything you need already there. I recommend this stay!

The positives: Stayed for five days. The cabin itself is adorable, inside I felt cozy and warm. The host has the place well stocked with kitchenware and utensils, towels, bedding, herbs and spices, etc. The bed and furniture were comfy. I loved the climate control system and bathroom/shower. The host was on point with communications, very fast to help me make my booking decision and at checkout, so that consistency was awesome. It felt clean, especially for such a rustic place!Internet connectivity was great for WFH, I pushed video conference calls and was highly productive in the environment. Things to keep in mind: The cabin is on a regular residential street, so that means typical neighborhood noises are also present.Also, the cabin does have a lot of decorative items in it, so if you prefer minimalism, be mindful. The cabin was cozy, quiet, and we felt right at home! It had a cute rustic vibe and was very peaceful, despite being in a neighborhood. Easy access to Main Street Middletown with some great restaurants and sights. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay, including kitchen supplies, extra blankets, and brochures of local activities. We would stay again!

Very cute cottage, filled with rustic charm. Convenient to hiking in Catoctin and restaurants in Frederick. AC worked great on a hot weekend! No door on the bathroom, just a curtain, FYI!

Wanted a nice place to hangout for the day for a birthday and was greeted with moldy wood smell when entering, very small cluttered interior which makes it very hard to breathe if you have asthma, most lightbulbs were not changed, couch is tiny and filled with junk surrounding it, bed had stains and bathroom had spider webs all over the surrounding area which made using it very uncomfortable, we sat down for 30 mins then agreed anything would be better than staying at in grandmas basement for the night, owner was nice but the address provided in link is wrong, waste of money.

Our weekend cabin stay was wonderful. The safe neighborhood was quite and peaceful. Its location near nature and the city was just perfect. The cozy cabin was clean and comfy. We loved Gambrill State Park and downtown Frederick didn't disappoint as well.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was so cute. Not really complaints but the floors were very dirty( I had to wash the bottom of my feet before i could go to bed), we only had one thing of toilet paper between 2 people for 2 days so of course we ran out and lastly the comforter had some stains on it so we just took it off when we went to bed but overall we had a fantastic time and would like to come back:)

My wife LOVED it here. Yes it’s an old cabin But it was furnished wonderfully and very comfortable. We had a great stay and have already recommended this place to a few friends. Over all I give it an A and this one ranks up in the top 5 of our vrbo vacation rentals

Such a quaint little cabin! It had the rustic feel, but was located in town, so very convenient. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom were a bit tricky, but also added to the charm of the cabin. Overall, very impressive!

I stayed for four nights to get some work done, and everything was great. The cabin was exactly as pictured/listed. Suggestion to property manager: consider adding some non-slip grips in the tub and including a bath mat for the bathroom floor. (But this does not take away from the rating--the place is great!)

The positives: Stayed for five days. The cabin itself is adorable, inside I felt cozy and warm. The host has the place well stocked with kitchenware and utensils, towels, bedding, herbs and spices, etc. The bed and furniture were comfy. I loved the climate control system and bathroom/shower. The host was on point with communications, very fast to help me make my booking decision and at checkout, so that consistency was awesome. It felt clean, especially for such a rustic place!Internet connectivity was great for WFH, I pushed video conference calls and was highly productive in the environment. Things to keep in mind: The cabin is on a regular residential street, so that means typical neighborhood noises are also present.Also, the cabin does have a lot of decorative items in it, so if you prefer minimalism, be mindful. My take: It's the perfect place for a couple or solo WFH situation, and it's also a great intro to what it would be like to live in a cabin before buying one yourself.

Nice, adequately furnished "old" house. It was within walking distance of downtown and several restaurants. Various sights to see and things to do in the area,including The Washington monument on the Appalachian trail and some Civil War sights.

Our weekend cabin stay was wonderful. The safe neighborhood was quite and peaceful. Its location near nature and the city was just perfect. The cozy cabin was clean and comfy. We loved Gambrill State Park and downtown Frederick didn't disappoint as well.

Very cute cottage, filled with rustic charm. Convenient to hiking in Catoctin and restaurants in Frederick. AC worked great on a hot weekend! No door on the bathroom, just a curtain, FYI!

This was the perfect place for a little quiet retreat. It was cozy and comfortable. It felt rustic and away from the world, but was still a good place to get some remote work done (good WiFi). Couldn’t recommend more.

Really cool historic cabin! Close to the Middletown main street. Me and my wife cooked in the cabin just about every night, pots plates and silverware stocked. Gas fireplace was powerful and heated the whole cabin easily on cold nights. Great antiques items scattered around the cabin. Was very quiet and a great place to be. Nearby attractions that were cool to see were the original Washington Monument and Surrybrook gardens - beautiful place to stroll around. Frederick was not far - awesome town! Deb’s bakery in Middletown is amazing! Whereever we went it was always great to end the day at this cabin.
