My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this lovely log cabin on the pond. Although the weather did not cooperate outdoors, we had all the comforts of home indoors. The cabin was warm and toasty and the view out to the pond did not disappoint-fog rising on the water in the morning, steady rain throughout the day and then clearing at night with a moon reflected on the water. The cabin is stocked with games and the tv/streaming easy to navigate. If you want peace and quiet this is the cabin to rent…and if you want plenty of activities, this is the cabin to rent. There were plenty of water toys, outdoor chairs around the fire pit, comfy chairs on the front porch…all that we can come back to, in better weather. The owner was a superior communicator…any question was answered within minutes. We did not want to leave as the sun shone brightly on the morning of our departure. We will return for more cabin and pond time as well as to explore the lovely village of Fitzwilliam. Thank you for a most relaxing stay at your cabin!

We loved this little house. Our favorite part was getting out on the water - on the island in the middle of the pond is a picnic table and fire pit! Kitchen and living spaces were just right for us. Everything we needed was provided, and breakfast on the porch is perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was supplied with everything needed. We enjoyed canoeing and fishing on the pond, and just watching the birds. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay on Scott Pond. We spent a lot of time kayaking, boating, and fishing on the pond which was great. Nearby Mt. Monadnock was an awesome hike as well. The upkeep of the cabin and yard is lacking. The cleaners are definitely not doing a thorough job. Seems like all the cabin gets is a light cleaning and the beds made.

We had a great time at the cabin. It is just the right size for 4-6 people. It's at the end of a quiet dirt road. We spent as much time as possible enjoying the Scott Pond. The island was overgrow and the beavers have dropped many trees so we didn't get much use of it. Camp fires at night and coffee with a view from the front porch we favorites. We would definitely stay again.

Cabin and grounds could have been cleaned up more...charcoal grill was not cleaned out and not usable, floors not swept, inside and outside porch, shower and kitchen sink not cleaned well. We did enjoy the "serene" location and proximity to hiking opportunities. Overall a good experience

I arrived after dark gps will take you to end of Scott Pond Rd.but it looks like your at the wrong cabin it took you to,you have to pull into about a 200 ft.long uphill driveway,then you'll see the cabin. Then you'll find a cozy,clean,comfortable,private peaceful cabin and setting.Lydia is very pleasant to communicate with,it is hard to leave today.

This cabin is so wonderful. The linens are exquisite and the beds are super comfortable. It is decorated so cute. There is everything you need! My favorite activity was sitting in the wooden rocking chair on the front porch each morning, drinking coffee, listening to nature (frogs, fish), and watching the lovely pond (which is so big it should be called a lake!) The owner responded to all my questions within minutes. You can even have pizza (regular AND gluten free) delivered!! If you visit, you must venture to Kimball Farms in Jaffrey to get a homemade ice cream sundae. It was so delicious we went every. Single. Day. Lol. I would totally live in the cabin if I could. And will DEFINITELY visit again. I would rate this 100 stars on a scale of 5 being the highest =)

We had a lovely visit at the cabin. My kids loved fishing in the pond, boating and roasting marshmallows over a fire. The cabin itself is beautiful and well kept. We would absolutely come again.

THE GOOD: Sitting on the porch in the evening or early morning is pleasant. THE BAD: We tried to use the oven; it did not work. Lydia offered to contact an oven repairman. We declined, I was not going to spend my short trip waiting for a repair on a short term rental appliance. So we made do without an oven. GENERAL CONDITION OF CABIN: Apparently no-one has cleaned it since it was built. Light housekeep had been done. I had a number of bugs appear in the bed. I think they were stink bugs. A sofa was a Filthy, stained mess that looked as if they had picked it up from the side of the road. We covered it with a comforter from the upstairs bed. IT would be nice if they replace the stinky, moldy shower curtain in the tiny stall shower. I believe the cabin is being used by the owners to milk as much money from it as they can with no regard for renters. Good reviews must be from friends and family. I would not knowingly pay a penny for this place. I would not stay here. Althought it is located at the very end of a cute little pond. it is a mostly swampy area. I would not recommend this cabin unless you are desperate.

We were hoping for some sunshine on our visit but only got rain, regardless the cabin was lovely and the property was easy to navigate with Lydia's instructions. My young son loved the lofted bedroom and the bin of blocks that were available when rain kept us indoors. Lovely spot for boating but not a good swimming spot due to lots of reeds and and critters

This cabin was a great place to stay for a week. It's not to small but not to big either, just the right size. The property was on an end lot, located in a quiet area. Wildlife was great to see as well, along with a nice view of the sunrises and sunsets. Definitely recommend!

My partner and youngest son came to visit our oldest at school over fall break. We loved the secluded cabin in the woods. The Fall scenery was beautiful and the neighborhood was super quiet. Great access to Troy, Keene, hiking trails, Jaffrey and Peterborough. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms and bed were exactly as advertised. Lovely space in front of the cabin overlooking the lake. Lydia was very helpful and the check in/out process was very easy. No complaints.

"Charming" is an understatement, but an apt description. This lob cabin was perfectly appointed for a brief respite away. It had comfortable places to sit, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all necessities. There is one neighbor (who was home during my stay), but was barely visible through the trees. The pond is lovely and quaint, and it really does feel very isolated. However, plenty of food options nearby (including a grocery store just 8 minutes down the road). I loved, loved, loved my time here and would book again in a heartbeat. To top it off, the host was lovely, responsive, and easily troubleshooted issues with check in right away. So appreciated.

We had a great time at the cabin. It is just the right size for 4-6 people. It's at the end of a quiet dirt road. We spent as much time as possible enjoying the Scott Pond. The island was overgrow and the beavers have dropped many trees so we didn't get much use of it. Camp fires at night and coffee with a view from the front porch we favorites. We would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this lovely log cabin on the pond. Although the weather did not cooperate outdoors, we had all the comforts of home indoors. The cabin was warm and toasty and the view out to the pond did not disappoint-fog rising on the water in the morning, steady rain throughout the day and then clearing at night with a moon reflected on the water. The cabin is stocked with games and the tv/streaming easy to navigate. If you want peace and quiet this is the cabin to rent…and if you want plenty of activities, this is the cabin to rent. There were plenty of water toys, outdoor chairs around the fire pit, comfy chairs on the front porch…all that we can come back to, in better weather. The owner was a superior communicator…any question was answered within minutes. We did not want to leave as the sun shone brightly on the morning of our departure. We will return for more cabin and pond time as well as to explore the lovely village of Fitzwilliam. Thank you for a most relaxing stay at your cabin!

I arrived after dark gps will take you to end of Scott Pond Rd.but it looks like your at the wrong cabin it took you to,you have to pull into about a 200 ft.long uphill driveway,then you'll see the cabin. Then you'll find a cozy,clean,comfortable,private peaceful cabin and setting.Lydia is very pleasant to communicate with,it is hard to leave today.

Host was very welcoming. Property was exactly what we wanted for our stay. Host was quick to respond to all questions and was very accommodating when we had to make a change from our September reservation to October.

My partner and youngest son came to visit our oldest at school over fall break. We loved the secluded cabin in the woods. The Fall scenery was beautiful and the neighborhood was super quiet. Great access to Troy, Keene, hiking trails, Jaffrey and Peterborough. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms and bed were exactly as advertised. Lovely space in front of the cabin overlooking the lake. Lydia was very helpful and the check in/out process was very easy. No complaints.

The cabin and location was exactly as advertised. Beautiful, quiet, and secluded, but close to everything. The view of the pond from the front porch was wonderful, I spent a bit of time there just enjoying the peaceful view. "Charming" is an understatement, but an apt description. This lob cabin was perfectly appointed for a brief respite away. It had comfortable places to sit, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all necessities. There is one neighbor (who was home during my stay), but was barely visible through the trees. The pond is lovely and quaint, and it really does feel very isolated. However, plenty of food options nearby (including a grocery store just 8 minutes down the road). I loved, loved, loved my time here and would book again in a heartbeat. To top it off, the host was lovely, responsive, and easily troubleshooted issues with check in right away. So appreciated.

rented this cabin for memorial day weekend for a wedding 6 miles from the location. i received texts from the owner (or so i thought) confirming my reservation. but at 10pm, a car pulled up to this remote location and knocked on the door to tell us the cabin was theirs for the weekend (they had the code to get in, easily could have stolen our stuff). they called the host and she proceeded to kick us out because the other party were “repeat customers” who were there to “enjoy the amenities” while we were there for a wedding. i had a migraine and could not drive, but she did not care. we had to make our own reservation for a hotel. my brother had to tell her several times that we would not be leaving without a refund, so eventually she conceded that she would pay the difference for the hotel and our trip would cost the same (it did not). she was condescending. she took absolutely no blame for her catastrophic failure to run a business. she told my brother that her goal was to “bring in as much money as possible without ever speaking to a customer.” she has software that handles all of her automated texts and bookings so she can pretend to be hospitable without lifting a finger. and this failure was the software’s fault, not hers. at midnight, i had to have someone else drive my car so we could go 35 mins away from our booking (41 mins away from the venue). i proceeded to have one of the worst weekends of my entire life. so beware. lydia has no integrity. book somewhere else.

This cabin was a great place to stay for a week. It's not to small but not to big either, just the right size. The property was on an end lot, located in a quiet area. Wildlife was great to see as well, along with a nice view of the sunrises and sunsets. Definitely recommend!

My 5 year old son and I had a blast here! We went out on the canoe and fished, made s'mores at the fire pit, got a delicious breakfast at the near by diner, took a day trip to great wolf lodge water park and had an overall great experience at this vacation home!

This cabin is so wonderful. The linens are exquisite and the beds are super comfortable. It is decorated so cute. There is everything you need! My favorite activity was sitting in the wooden rocking chair on the front porch each morning, drinking coffee, listening to nature (frogs, fish), and watching the lovely pond (which is so big it should be called a lake!) The owner responded to all my questions within minutes. You can even have pizza (regular AND gluten free) delivered!! If you visit, you must venture to Kimball Farms in Jaffrey to get a homemade ice cream sundae. It was so delicious we went every. Single. Day. Lol. I would totally live in the cabin if I could. And will DEFINITELY visit again. I would rate this 100 stars on a scale of 5 being the highest =)

We loved this little house. Our favorite part was getting out on the water - on the island in the middle of the pond is a picnic table and fire pit! Kitchen and living spaces were just right for us. Everything we needed was provided, and breakfast on the porch is perfect.

Easy check in. Cabin and grounds could have been cleaned up more...charcoal grill was not cleaned out and not usable, floors not swept, inside and outside porch, shower and kitchen sink not cleaned well. This cabin is from a storybook! Absolutely dreamy!Everything was clean and exactly as listed. The location is simply amazing. We used the paddleboat and kayaks to explore the lake. All the information provided from the host was very helpful and accurate!We stayed here for several days between exploring Maine and then Boston. Our whole family decided we'd rather stay here the whole time rather than leaving. : )

My partner and youngest son came to visit our oldest at school over fall break. We loved the secluded cabin in the woods. The Fall scenery was beautiful and the neighborhood was super quiet. Great access to Troy, Keene, hiking trails, Jaffrey and Peterborough. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms and bed were exactly as advertised. Lovely space in front of the cabin overlooking the lake. Lydia was very helpful and the check in/out process was very easy. No complaints.

I arrived after dark gps will take you to end of Scott Pond Rd.but it looks like your at the wrong cabin it took you to,you have to pull into about a 200 ft.long uphill driveway,then you'll see the cabin. Then you'll find a cozy,clean,comfortable,private peaceful cabin and setting.Lydia is very pleasant to communicate with,it is hard to leave today.
