We visit San Diego frequently and I am always leery of renting a space within someone's home. However, this rental is absolutely perfect. Sunset Cliffs is quiet and stunningly beautiful. Street parking was easy and there was never an issue finding a spot in front of the house. The outdoor space is incredible and we especially enjoyed the fire pit. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and linens. The kitchen had everything we needed including a nice welcome basket of snacks and beverages. There are lots of little details that show the owners care about their guests' experiences (charging cords, clothing steamer, fresh basket of lemons, sunscreen, etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.

Property and experience was top notch. Easy check-in and communications topped of with a fully stocked condo with amazing views, finishes and personality. The garage door was a perfect way to enjoy the outside. Can't wait to go back. John is an amazing host and truly wants your experience to be 5-Star.

We could not have been more pleased with our four day stay. The location was excellent to get to the best that San Diego had to offer easily. Immense attention was paid to all the little details that made our stay feel like home. There were several little extras. The roll up garage door is an excellent feature. There was a clear view of the Pacific Ocean with nightly sunsets. There was even an outdoor fireplace. The hosts left many helpful recommendations for local eateries. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

Great lower unit with patio and view. Parking is no issue. Groceries and restaurants are near by. Neighborhood is hilly but walkable with amazing views of the ocean, which is a small walk down the hill. We were able to relax in mid-winter with the large door to the living space open letting in the fresh air. The property owners were wonderful to work with, responsive to all needs and questions, and checked in repeatedly to ensure everything was going well.If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in an outstanding location, this is a property for you.

My fiancé and I stayed at this amazing guest suite for 10 nights. We spent a great deal of time researching lisings on VRBO. We were looking for a rental with close proximity to the beach and ocean views. This was the perfect spot! The description in the listing is completely accurate. The suite is very secure and located in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. A truly stunning neighborhood! There are gorgeous trees and gardens on every block. The guest suite feels more like a private home. It is evident throughtout the suite that great consideration was taken to design a comfortable and very functional living space. The outdoor space is incredible. We enjoyed several dinners on the upper patio with spectacular views of the sunset. The seating around the fire pit was a perfect spot to end the nights with a glass of wine. Both the master bed and pull out sofa were very comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed. We took advanatge of renting the eBikes and so glad we did! What a great way to see the area! It is very convienent to have the bikes available on site. The rental fee was also very reasonable. If you have ever rented on VRBO you know that your experience with the host makes all the differnece. I can not say enough great things about John and Michael. From the moment I reserved the listing communication was amazing. They were very attentive and helpful. They truly made our experience very special.

My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing time. The indoor/outdoor living was peaceful and great to have coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! The entire property was exactly as advertised. We had a little trouble lighting the outdoor fireplace but John was Johnny on the spot and had it going in no time. I selfishly want to keep this a secret so it’s available when we come back but others should enjoy it like we did.

Settled in a very nice and quiet area of Point Loma this accommodation had a stunning view of the ocean. Modern, clean, roomy with a deck the length of the unit. Deck provided a bar table and chairs to enjoy the view, a fire pit, swing and lounge chairs. Nicely decorated and everything you could possibly need were provided. It was the perfect getaway. The very best part was the living room garage door that opened to bring the outdoors in. John texted to let us know he was having some friends over in the event we heard them. We didn't but appreciated him letting us know. He also provided a notebook of restaurants and things to do in close proximity which we took advantage of. It was the perfect place to stay. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 nights in July and could not have asked for a better experience! John the host was great as well. He was always a text message away with great restaurant recommendations and thorough knowledge of the area. The home was beautiful in a cliff side neighborhood with ocean views from the living room. Obviously the San Diego weather was gorgeous so we were able to enjoy a morning coffee with the garage door open in the indoor/outdoor living space. The space was just enough for the 2 of us and doubled in size when you account for the outdoor space. Kitchen was equipped with the essentials and the whole property was very well taken care of, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The host also has electric bike rentals right on site which was an awesome way to tour the hilly neighborhood and and head down to the ocean 5 blocks away. You will not be disappointed with this property. I feel like my wife and I will be back to stay at this property next time we head out to California!

Property was exactly what you see in the pictures - it was much larger than I expected and lots of room for the two of us. Easy parking on the street and John sent me the codes to access the rental well before check in time (still had to wait for the cleaning crew to finish up). Lots of little extras included - lots of pillows to choose from (this was big for me as most times they are too soft or too hard). Quality options in the bathroom. Beach towels - large and soft. Beach chairs! Used them a couple of times - most of the tourists were sitting on the ground. Nice welcome box of snacks and a bottle of wine. We loved the garage door feature - opened it every morning and evening as the weather was great. Outside was very nice with lots of seating options and the fire table was great on the cool evenings. John, the host, is very friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations Location-Location-Location - it was perfect for us. 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to the Midway, 15 minutes to the Zoo, 10 minutes to Ocean beach, 10 minutes to whale watching. 30 minutes to La Jolla Cove. With gas almost $6/galloon this saved us some $$. 100% recommend renting!!

This place was perfect, and the grounds were beautiful. Very clean, and well-appointed. John\'s "Welcome package" was awesome, and the patio is a really nice place to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon/evening, to enjoy the surroundings, as well as the great view to the Ocean. The glass double "garage door" on the wall of the suite, facing the ocean, is a really nice touch. Neighborhood is great, and the location is close to everything. Loved this place!!

The home was amazing and very private considering it was the bottom floor of the home. The property was very clean except for a cover pile of building materials in the back patio that we had to pass by in a narrow opening between the seats for the fire pit and the pile. The fire pit was difficult to start, but there was a lighter in the kitchen which helped with it. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom were comfortable and had everything we needed. You could hear the footsteps upstairs very easily though, and trying to sleep in with that was difficult. Would absolutely stay here again, it was a beautiful property, and the host was kind and attentive.

This place is absolutely amazing—just like the photos, modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained. It’s tucked away in a lovely neighborhood, and at night it’s so peaceful you can even hear the crickets. John has truly thought of every detail, from the super-soft anchor-patterned sheets and complimentary slippers to the thoughtful welcome basket with wine, snacks, and even fresh lemons from their tree! Communication was quick and easy, and we also had the pleasure of meeting John, Michael, and their sweet pup, which made our stay even more special. We’d definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying again!

We were so comfortable in the suite it was hard to leave! The bed was incredibly cozy, the place was spotless, and the stocked coffee bar was a much appreciated touch. Nothing like that view while having your morning coffee! John is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect; a quick walk to the cliffs and a short drive to all that San Diego has to offer. We will definitely stay here the next time we’re in town!

We stayed here for 6 days while vacationing and it is the best Vrbo I've stayed in. From the great communication from our host, to the cleanliness of the unit. We were even greated with a basket full of goodies and wine. This place has it all and the location is excellent. Only a few minutes to the cliffs, 10 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes to some of the best San Diego has to offer. You can't go wrong. We will definitely be back. Upon arrival to the rental, my family and I thought the neighborhood was very nice. Once we got inside the rental we were pleasantly surprised how modern and clean the unit was. The view of the ocean was an added bonus. The pictures are exactly how the rental looks. The owner was very kind and communicative on every thing. He even picked fresh lemons from his garden which were fantastic and extremely juicy. We loved our stay in San Diego. We had a wonderful time during our three-night stay. The property is clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a very nice care package left for us, along with detailed instructions on how to make use of all of the amenities and a listing of recommendations for dining and other attractions in the area. Our host communicated often via email and text and even had the courtesy to let us know when there would be guests for dinner upstairs above the rental one evening. I can highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

The bed was comfortable, the kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom were comfortable and had everything we needed. You could hear the footsteps upstairs very easily though, and trying to sleep in with that was difficult. Would absolutely stay here again, it was a beautiful property, and the host was kind and attentive.
The home was amazing and very private considering it was the bottom floor of the home. The property was very clean except for a cover pile of building materials in the back patio that we had to pass by in a narrow opening between the seats for the fire pit and the pile. The fire pit was difficult to start, but there was a lighter in the kitchen which helped with it. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom were comfortable and had everything we needed. Great place to stay! The views of the ocean are wonderful and a great place to watch the sunset. The indoors/outdoor living is a great benefit as there is ample outside space to enjoy the SD weather. The neighborhood is very nice and you are close to Ocean Beach and the restaurants. John does a great job communicating and checking in to make sure you have everything you need. John is very conscientious and always quick to reply to any questions. The kitchen is well stocked and the additional snacks and drinks provided are a nice touch. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. John and Michael also makes sure you are well supplied with extra towels, blankets, pillows, etc. Beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend!

To start, we will be back. We arrived late in the evening and with a short walk down the stairs, to the back of the main house, our stay started. The interior was clean and modern. With the morning sun rise, the views of the Pacific Ocean were breathtaking & picturesque. It was quiet, with friendly neighbors. We want to go back in order to open the overhead door and enjoy the weather.
To start, we will be back. We arrived late in the evening and with a short walk down the stairs, to the back of the main house, our stay started. The interior was clean and modern. With the morning sun rise, the views of the Pacific Ocean were breathtaking & picturesque. It was quiet, with friendly neighbors. We want to go back in order to open the overhead door and enjoy the weather.

Property was exactly what you see in the pictures - it was much larger than I expected and lots of room for the two of us. Easy parking on the street and John sent me the codes to access the rental well before check in time (still had to wait for the cleaning crew to finish up). Lots of little extras included - lots of pillows to choose from (this was big for me as most times they are too soft or too hard). Quality options in the bathroom. Beach towels - large and soft. Beach chairs! Used them a couple of times - most of the tourists were sitting on the ground. Nice welcome box of snacks and a bottle of wine. Nothing like that view while having your morning coffee! John is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. My husband and I visited our granddaughter and didn't get as much time as we would have liked to stay in the area. Boy do we wish we did! This rental was amazing with everything you could possibly think of there waiting for you. I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress and that means so muchb when you're on vacation.John was great with instructions on getting access and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine! Can't recommend staying here enough...we will and next time we will stay longer to enjoy all that is around.

My best friend of 57 years and I chose this unique property to spend some well-deserved catching up time. Talk about the "Five Star" treatment!! We left roasting Palm Desert (120 degrees) to bask in the cool and peaceful setting of Point Loma and the Pacific Ocean. From our booking to our checkout, the hosts graciously inquired about about our needs. Wine, snacks, fresh home-grown lemons, slippers, chocolates on the pillow and all the comforts of home made our stay so pleasant. The unique living room had a garage door wall that opened allowing the cool breeze to flow into the space and grant us a great view of the ocean. Everything was clean and modern. The kitchen was well-stocked with the necessities for cooking meals - however, we chose to eat our meals out - we were on vacation! Easy to find a parking spot in the beautiful neighborhood. Thank you John and Michael for allowing us a wonderful time in your retreat!

It’s tucked away in a lovely neighborhood, and at night it’s so peaceful you can even hear the crickets. My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing time. The indoor/outdoor living was peaceful and great to have coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! The entire property was exactly as advertised. We had a little trouble lighting the outdoor fireplace but John was Johnny on the spot and had it going in no time. I selfishly want to keep this a secret so it’s available when we come back but others should enjoy it like we did.

There was a very nice care package left for us, along with detailed instructions on how to make use of all of the amenities and a listing of recommendations for dining and other attractions in the area. Our host communicated often via email and text and even had the courtesy to let us know when there would be guests for dinner upstairs above the rental one evening. I can highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

Wow, did I feel like we lucked out booking here. The property is very nice, the view is gorgeous and it's a great location. Absolutely everything you could need is there. Motion lights in the hallway, chargers, water, dry shampoo, flashlights on the night stand, and even chocolate when you arrive. We walked in and my partner goes, it's like my dream house, everything I would think of and more. Another bonus is the owner, John. He communicates early and often. He has great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. He checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. He even got up early to meet us in person before we left. I can't say enough nice things about both him and the property.

This place was perfect, and the grounds were beautiful. Very clean, and well-appointed. John\'s "Welcome package" was awesome, and the patio is a really nice place to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon/evening, to enjoy the surroundings, as well as the great view to the Ocean. The glass double "garage door" on the wall of the suite, facing the ocean, is a really nice touch. Neighborhood is great, and the location is close to everything. Loved this place!!

Super great location! We loved being super close to Point Loma, PB, and Mission Beach. 10 min walk to a beach cliff with a view. John was a great host and had anything we needed. Fire pit seating area in back was great and we could see the sunset from the home every night! Overall great stay!!

John is very helpful any time his help is wanted and the attention to detail for this rental is unmatched. The location is perfect for San Diego and is in a quiet neighborhood. We went everywhere from downtown to old town to La Jolla within 15-20 minutes of this location by vehicle. I'd absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice, relaxing vacation to San Diego.

Property was exactly what you see in the pictures - it was much larger than I expected and lots of room for the two of us. Easy parking on the street and John sent me the codes to access the rental well before check in time (still had to wait for the cleaning crew to finish up). Lots of little extras included - lots of pillows to choose from (this was big for me as most times they are too soft or too hard). Quality options in the bathroom. Beach towels - large and soft. Beach chairs! Used them a couple of times - most of the tourists were sitting on the ground. Nice welcome box of snacks and a bottle of wine. We loved the garage door feature - opened it every morning and evening as the weather was great. Outside was very nice with lots of seating options and the fire table was great on the cool evenings. John, the host, is very friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations Location-Location-Location - it was perfect for us. 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to the Midway, 15 minutes to the Zoo, 10 minutes to Ocean beach, 10 minutes to whale watching. 30 minutes to La Jolla Cove. With gas almost $6/galloon this saved us some $$. 100% recommend renting!!

We were so comfortable in the suite it was hard to leave! The bed was incredibly cozy, the place was spotless, and the stocked coffee bar was a much appreciated touch. Nothing like that view while having your morning coffee! John is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect; a quick walk to the cliffs and a short drive to all that San Diego has to offer. We will definitely stay here the next time we’re in town!

Great place to stay! The views of the ocean are wonderful and a great place to watch the sunset. The indoors/outdoor living is a great benefit as there is ample outside space to enjoy the SD weather. The neighborhood is very nice and you are close to Ocean Beach and the restaurants. John does a great job communicating and checking in to make sure you have everything you need. John is very conscientious and always quick to reply to any questions. The kitchen is well stocked and the additional snacks and drinks provided are a nice touch. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. John and Michael also makes sure you are well supplied with extra towels, blankets, pillows, etc. Beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend!

We could not have been more pleased with our four day stay. The location was excellent to get to the best that San Diego had to offer easily. Immense attention was paid to all the little details that made our stay feel like home. There were several little extras. The roll up garage door is an excellent feature. There was a clear view of the Pacific Ocean with nightly sunsets. There was even an outdoor fireplace. The hosts left many helpful recommendations for local eateries. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

Great lower unit with patio and view. Parking is no issue. Groceries and restaurants are near by. Neighborhood is hilly but walkable with amazing views of the ocean, which is a small walk down the hill. We were able to relax in mid-winter with the large door to the living space open letting in the fresh air. The property owners were wonderful to work with, responsive to all needs and questions, and checked in repeatedly to ensure everything was going well.If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in an outstanding location, this is a property for you.

My fiancé and I stayed at this amazing guest suite for 10 nights. We spent a great deal of time researching lisings on VRBO. We were looking for a rental with close proximity to the beach and ocean views. This was the perfect spot! The description in the listing is completely accurate. The suite is very secure and located in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. A truly stunning neighborhood! There are gorgeous trees and gardens on every block. The guest suite feels more like a private home. It is evident throughtout the suite that great consideration was taken to design a comfortable and very functional living space. The outdoor space is incredible. We enjoyed several dinners on the upper patio with spectacular views of the sunset. The seating around the fire pit was a perfect spot to end the nights with a glass of wine. Both the master bed and pull out sofa were very comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed. We took advanatge of renting the eBikes and so glad we did! What a great way to see the area! It is very convienent to have the bikes available on site. The rental fee was also very reasonable. If you have ever rented on VRBO you know that your experience with the host makes all the differnece. I can not say enough great things about John and Michael. From the moment I reserved the listing communication was amazing. They were very attentive and helpful. They truly made our experience very special.

My best friend of 57 years and I chose this unique property to spend some well-deserved catching up time. Talk about the "Five Star" treatment!! We left roasting Palm Desert (120 degrees) to bask in the cool and peaceful setting of Point Loma and the Pacific Ocean. From our booking to our checkout, the hosts graciously inquired about about our needs. Wine, snacks, fresh home-grown lemons, slippers, chocolates on the pillow and all the comforts of home made our stay so pleasant. The unique living room had a garage door wall that opened allowing the cool breeze to flow into the space and grant us a great view of the ocean. Everything was clean and modern. The kitchen was well-stocked with the necessities for cooking meals - however, we chose to eat our meals out - we were on vacation! Easy to find a parking spot in the beautiful neighborhood. Thank you John and Michael for allowing us a wonderful time in your retreat!

We had a wonderful time during our three-night stay. The property is clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a very nice care package left for us, along with detailed instructions on how to make use of all of the amenities and a listing of recommendations for dining and other attractions in the area. Our host communicated often via email and text and even had the courtesy to let us know when there would be guests for dinner upstairs above the rental one evening. I can highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

Every thing was above and beyond what needed to be done. He answered any questions we had, let us check in early, had a welcome basket with snacks and great information and a bottle of wine! The place was immaculate! All the extras, including slippers. Loved the indoor/outdoor concept with the glass garage door wall that you can open up! The firepit was beautiful. The outside swing was a nice touch. And the view is AMAZING! We are already planning to come back next year!
