We checked in and crashed for the night. We got up the next morning to go out and the door wouldn't close-the deadbolt was open and would not close, meaning our room would have been left open. I went to the front desk and he apologized and offered to move our room, however the maintenance person was coming in 90 mins so we figured we'd wait it out. After 2 hours, I went down to the desk, different person, and she told me that the door wouldn't be fixed as they were waiting on parts and that I needed to move rooms and they had 4 to select from. I asked how she knew since no one came to my room, and she said that it's been down for awhile, however when I checked in, they said that they wanted to just put me somewhere. Now, if there was no room, how did 4 rooms become available all of a sudden? Anyways, moved to the new room and it immediately smelled like BO washed in onions. And, the deadbolt wouldn't close-opposite of the other room. Went and bought some ozium to spray the room and just chalked it up to somewhere I'll never stay again.

Upon checking in the front desk woman was a little sassy. We wanted to be by our friends and she said there was no availability. We asked if our other friends had checked in and she said for privacy reasons she couldn't tell us. Turns out they hadn't checked in yet but they were put next to our other friends. Curious. Our room was at the very back of the hotel requiring steps and walking and my husband has walking issues. Room is very spacious with an equipped kitchen and large fridge, dining table for 2 and living room area. Bathroom was very clean and everything worked. Unfortunately the room above us got up every morning at 6 and started pounding around. My mistake was not contacting the front desk to ask them to notify them of the noise. She told me they never would have moved us but they would talk to the guests. Breakfast was serviceable - changed every morning which was too bad bc some mornings it wasn't a good selection. But there was always a bagel/Eng muffin to be had. Scones were delicious as was the orange juice. There is NO VIEW of the hills from the rooms - even the outside area had no view. But you can go next door to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and go to their third floor outside deck for a spectacular view of the red cliffs. Bring your own drinks.
