Encantadora ciudad centrada ~ ¡Camina al zoológico!

This is a fully equipped, well-furnished apartment with most everything two people would need/want. The kitchen is totally modern, and the bathroom is good, with a mirrored medicine cabinet with storage shelves! As with every basement apartment where we’ve stayed in D.C., there are some quirks. The main quirk for this one is that the front entrance under the stairs is extremely narrow and the stairs down somewhat steep, so if one is a very large person and/or has large luggage, it might be a bit of a challenge. However, once inside, all is lovely, well-lit, and air-conditioned (which was so appreciated in the hot weather)The location is excellent, in Adams Morgan close to shopping, excellent restaurants and cafes, and public transportation.

Disappointing stay despite strong reviewsWe booked this property because of the 9.8 Exceptional rating, but our experience did not match that rating. The location was convenient, but several issues significantly affected our stay.Upon arrival, the check-in instructions were difficult to locate and the lockbox code provided was incorrect, so we had to message for the correct code before we could get inside. The entrance was also not accurately reflected in the listing photos. It is very narrow with a low ceiling, and my husband and son had to duck to enter. This should be clearly disclosed.The full-size refrigerator was not working, which was a major inconvenience during very hot weather. We had no freezer access, no ice, and very limited refrigerated storage. The replacement refrigerator was delayed more than once.The washing machine was also unusable because the door would not close or stay shut. Since only four towels/washcloths were provided for three guests, we had to wash items by hand in the bathroom sink. Additional towels were delivered after requesting them. They were dropped off in a trash bag on the coffee table.The sofa bed was not fully prepared, and communication was slow and handled by multiple people. A partial refund was eventually provided, which we appreciated, but the stay was not what we expected from an “Exceptional” property. I would not recommend this place and would definitely not stay here again.

Great location

I always stay here when in DC. Great location!

This was my second stay. Was a great stay per my last visit. The team is super responsive whenever I expressed a reasonable need. The Adams Morgan area is great and very convenient. Great restaurants. Safeway is right around the corner. Metro is close by. Parking is tough so I opt for Uber and Metro. Great walking though so the option is there. Anyway, I will stay here again.
