Very nice inside would stay again

There is NO bathtub spout to run water into the tub. It is capped off. The drain does not work so the tub will only hold 1 inch of water. There is NO mention of this issue in their description. Because I am a 100% rated disabled Veteran who requires a tub to bathe, we had to book a Quality Inn 15 miles away just so I could bathe during our stay, where we incurred an additional 85 charge.Another dangerous issue is that rain water backs up on cement pad outside and runs back into the home, leaving every item on lower level soaked with water when it rains due to cement pad having been poured so water cannot drain away from home, but directs it back into the house underneath the floor boards. Most of our time was spent drying/rotating out towels in an attempt to keep the water at bay. We were constantly worried about ourselves or our beloved pet being electrocuted had there been exposed wiring etc.. Not being familiar, we could not risk injury so we vacated the house a day early. These two major issues made it unbearable to stay in the property for more than one night. After notifying the host of these errors in the property description & dangerous issues which negatively impacted our stay, we were disappointed when they minimized and showed little or no concern for them. VRBO Support took them very seriously, providing us a 250 refund and opened investigation. Hopefully the necessary changes will be made so the property becomes safe and comfortable for future guests.

The host was excellent...very communicative and accommodating. Prices in this area seem high, particularly for the off season, but this home was one of the most affordable of those available during the timeframe I needed. Furnishings, bedding, towels, etc. are adequate but of lower quality than most vacation rentals we have stayed in. For an in-season stay where 90% of your time will be spent outdoors, this place would serve its purpose well, but a few upgrades could make it more comfortable. Overall, a good experience. Bottom line, would I stay here again? If I were in the area & it was again one of the most economical options available, yes I would.

The house was very nice and clean, and it was located in a beautiful part of Indiana in the heart of Amish country.

Nice, quiet location, with the lake right out the back door. Host was excellent in communication and responded to messages quickly.
