The location of this house was at the end of a quiet street so that was nice. The screened-in porch was a great place to sit in the evening. My only complaint was the back yard. the good news is it's fenced in so pets can roam freely. The issue is it is growing wild. It needs some attention to be safe for pets and children. The kitchen was roomy, the rooms were great, the grill worked nicely.

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was a close drive to Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients and other hikes. We loved having the fenced in backyard for the dog as well. The owners have everything labeled well in the house and take care to be eco-friendly.

Our 1st priority was a fenced yard for our beagles. The photos in the listing showed a well groomed yard. But, when we arrived the yard was so overgrown we couldn't even keep our dogs in sight. The fence needed repairs. So, the yard was unuseable to us. The evap cooler went out & the host did bust his tail trying to get a replacement for us. Having 4 days of 87 inside Dan, the host, gave us a partial refund. That was kind of him. Our other complaint was the unexplained charges after booking. We booked with Vrbo but Evolve took over. With Vrbo we were given a quote for our booking & after Evolve took over we were charged an additional 300 dollars. Evolve blamed Vrbo. Nothing was resolved so we basically got taken advantage of. Looks like Evolve is in partnership with Vrbo with some listings. We will never book anything again with any booking where Evolve is connected.

This home was truly a home away from home. We were able to accommodate all visitors comfortably. It was a family reunion of sorts and the kids absolutely loved the nice big back yard. Parking was sufficient and all needs were met. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. And casino is less than 30 min.

I really loved staying there! It’s a beautiful little house, in a quiet residential neighborhood very close to downtown Cortez, and very close to Mesa Verde. The house is eco friendly, with a lot of energy and water saving features (heat pump/evaporative cooler, low flow toilet with 2 flushing options). They also have a mini washer and dryer. The neighbors are friendly. It was lovely, and I would love to be able to stay there again. Thank you!

Lovely place to stay for a week to explore the area. There are manny special touches that make the home a true delight including gifts from Linda’s business. How lovely is that? Dan and Linda were super responsive when we had an issue with a non- functioning appliance and got the whole issue resolved within the hour. A true 5 star experience

Property was clean and well furnished. Back porch was more cluttered than picture. Nice bedding but other than master bedrooms were small. Kitchen well stocked. Pellet fireplace not working which was disappointing as we were there when it was cold. Dog loved the yard.

We traveled to Cortez to visit our daughter/sister who's family of six lives there. Their home is not large enough for more of a crowd. The VRBO was just right to have them join us during the day and enjoy family time in the evening. Other than 18 holes of golf and 1 fishing trip we all had a great time being with each other. Plenty of room for us all to play board, card and electronic games and enjoy the meals. Bedroom and bathrooms were comfortable and private. the living area was large enough for us all with comfortable furnishings. A very clean and welcoming home. Everything we needed from well stocked kitchen and bathrooms to comfortable furnishings throughout. Very private and out of the way (just by minutes) from hustle and bustle of downtown. Very enjoyable, Thank you.

My husband, our 3 adult children and our pets all reunited in this cozy home for Christmas. It was exactly as stated in the listing. It felt like home and I honestly didn’t want to leave. We slept comfortably and it was a great place to have pets. Everything was clean and there was so much information on Cortez and Durango and even notes about different things throughout the house. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Well, we were very impressed with the location because we were able to go to Telluride, visit Moab, Utah, visit Mancos, also we were able to explore the scenery and also go to Durango Colorado. It was a short ride.The best thing about the property was that we enjoyed the location. It was very clean and the TVs were easy to work and figure out everything.We would definitely stay there again just because it was a close location to friends as well while visiting. Also, it was easy to get to the grocery store which was about 3 to 5 minutes up the road along with the stores there that were feed stores, but they accommodated for any kind of cold weather equipment for clothing like it got really cold when we were there and everything was easily accessible

As a family, we spend almost every Thanksgiving together in Cortez. The majority of our family lives in Cortez, but my husband and I and our son and daughter-n-law travel from other places, and hence why we rent a home to stay in during that time. This year was our first time renting this location and we found it to be very comfortable, close in proximity to Cortez amenities, and good for our dogs. Thank you.

Looks like Evolve is in partnership with Vrbo with some listings. We will never book anything again with any booking where Evolve is connected.
Our 1st priority was a fenced yard for our beagles. The photos in the listing showed a well groomed yard. But, when we arrived the yard was so overgrown we couldn't even keep our dogs in sight. The fence needed repairs. So, the yard was unuseable to us. The evap cooler went out & the host did bust his tail trying to get a replacement for us. Having 4 days of 87 inside Dan, the host, gave us a partial refund. That was kind of him. Our other complaint was the unexplained charges after booking. We booked with Vrbo but Evolve took over. With Vrbo we were given a quote for our booking & after Evolve took over we were charged an additional 300 dollars. Evolve blamed Vrbo. Nothing was resolved so we basically got taken advantage of. Looks like Evolve is in partnership with Vrbo with some listings. We will never book anything again with any booking where Evolve is connected.

We were in town for a wedding, and this was a perfect, pet friendly location. The host was excellent and checked in on our during our stay to make sure all was okay. Highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay for a week to explore the area. There are manny special touches that make the home a true delight including gifts from Linda’s business. How lovely is that? Dan and Linda were super responsive when we had an issue with a non- functioning appliance and got the whole issue resolved within the hour. A true 5 star experience

The house was located close enough to town for easy travel between us and family living there. Large enough to accommodate all of us during the day and evening meals. The home is just that...a home. Much more comfortable than a hotel. Clean and organized, with lots of local literature showing where to go and what to do. Pet friendly, and we enjoyed visits from a couple of felines on the porch (Salem, our feline, spent time at the door with twitching tail). Just an all around good place to stay. Check-in and -out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Caretaker's number was provided, along with the hosts, for questions and information. We will definitely remember this home for the next time we visit.

The location of this house was at the end of a quiet street so that was nice. The screened-in porch was a great place to sit in the evening. My only complaint was the back yard. the good news is it's fenced in so pets can roam freely. The issue is it is growing wild. It needs some attention to be safe for pets and children. The kitchen was roomy, the rooms were great, the grill worked nicely.

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was a close drive to Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients and other hikes. We loved having the fenced in backyard for the dog as well. The owners have everything labeled well in the house and take care to be eco-friendly.

This home was truly a home away from home. We were able to accommodate all visitors comfortably. It was a family reunion of sorts and the kids absolutely loved the nice big back yard. Parking was sufficient and all needs were met. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. And casino is less than 30 min.

We traveled to Cortez to visit our daughter/sister who's family of six lives there. Their home is not large enough for more of a crowd. The VRBO was just right to have them join us during the day and enjoy family time in the evening. Other than 18 holes of golf and 1 fishing trip we all had a great time being with each other. Plenty of room for us all to play board, card and electronic games and enjoy the meals. Bedroom and bathrooms were comfortable and private. the living area was large enough for us all with comfortable furnishings. A very clean and welcoming home. Everything we needed from well stocked kitchen and bathrooms to comfortable furnishings throughout. Very private and out of the way (just by minutes) from hustle and bustle of downtown. I really loved staying there! It’s a beautiful little house, in a quiet residential neighborhood very close to downtown Cortez, and very close to Mesa Verde. The house is eco friendly, with a lot of energy and water saving features (heat pump/evaporative cooler, low flow toilet with 2 flushing options). They also have a mini washer and dryer. The neighbors are friendly. It was lovely, and I would love to be able to stay there again. Thank you!

Well, we were very impressed with the location because we were able to go to Telluride, visit Moab, Utah, visit Mancos, also we were able to explore the scenery and also go to Durango Colorado. It was a short ride.The best thing about the property was that we enjoyed the location. It was very clean and the TVs were easy to work and figure out everything.We would definitely stay there again just because it was a close location to friends as well while visiting. Also, it was easy to get to the grocery store which was about 3 to 5 minutes up the road along with the stores there that were feed stores, but they accommodated for any kind of cold weather equipment for clothing like it got really cold when we were there and everything was easily accessible

We had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was amazingly quiet, the car port was great for keeping the car cool and protected from the sun and rain. The back porch was lovely to sit in during the morning! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals and there was plenty of ice and cold water from the fridge!

The property was appropriately priced but the pictures were a bit misleading. The owner and caretaker were both very nice and very accommodating. The house was clean and well stocked, but dated. The back porch picture was when it was first built and it was also dated and not very clean (in my opinion). Definitely worth the price and I would stay there again if I had a group more on a budget. The house was clean inside and check-in quite easy. The listing and check-in e-mail listed four outdoor parking spots and one in the garage. Instead there were two outdoor spots and the garage was not available to guests. We were hoping to use the garage because we had our e-bikes with us, but we managed without. The owner’s house manual was detailed and made being “green” easy. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. We enjoyed hanging out in the shade of the back porch. The yard is overgrown and has not been maintained in a while. For our purposes - as a place to hang out and to sleep after exploring Mesa VerdeNational Park - this was a good value.

Everything was great. Owners really tried to make things staying there super easy. It is close to the downtown area so we really did not have to drive far. Everything was comfortable. The only thing is that we travel with our dogs and we did appreciate the accommodation taking them in the back since they were smaller dogs was a challenge. The grass was too high and we did not feel comfortable letting them off leash so we accompanied them when they needed to go outside. We were not able to throw the ball for them or anything. But otherwise, I would say this a great place to stay and they were super nice. Oh, and the AC blasts super cold!! That was a plus!
