We had a good week. Weather conditions weren't great otherwise would've been a great week. Dog friendly property. Lots of wildlife and my son caught numerous fish.

Second year staying at this property. Very relaxing place and plenty for our son to do. He loves fishing, catching critters and swimming in the lake. Will be back.

Nice house with lovely fit pit and dock on the lake. Encourage others to explore the lakes especially Pines with shady beach and great kayaking.

Location was exactly as shown online. Great fishing from the dock. Our family had a great time; the owner was very courteous and responsive. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in staying here.

Nice house right on the lake. Despite the size of Locust Lake Village, it was very quiet and peaceful. The firepit is amazing and loved sitting out by the dock in the afternoons. The kitchen is small so you do have to prepare meals efficiently.

We had a great time. I enjoyed sitting down by the lake.We saw a Bald Eagle. That was so beautiful. Our granddaughter enjoyed the beach also my family enjoyed kayaking around the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay. As stated, the place was very clean and presented well in the pictures. The lake was a little smaller than I had thought but that actually worked out very well as we kayaked around enjoying the wildlife (eagles, ospreys, and herons). The area has some nice hiking trails. We went to dinner (with our dog) to a beautiful outdoor patio along Big Boulder Lake. The upstairs loft railing would allow a small child to climb through so take a look at that in the pictures to be sure.

My family and I, including my two-year-old daughter, recently rented this house. The house was right on the lake, which was amazing. The lake community was filled with extremely nice neighbors throughout. Unfortunately, this property has several significant safety and maintenance issues that need attention. Most concerning are the stair and loft railings, which have openings substantially larger than building code allows - the code requires openings small enough to prevent a 4-inch sphere from passing through to prevent children's heads from getting stuck, but the existing openings are large enough for a 2-year-old to fall through. The steps entering the house need a handrail installed on the right side to match the existing left-side rail. My parents are in their 70s, and this was quite dangerous for them. The deck requires attention with multiple creaking spots that should be inspected and needs re-staining. Additional maintenance problems include 2-foot-tall weeds growing out of the gutters, a sliding glass door that only opens partially, and a downstairs toilet that runs every minute due to a tank leak. If the owner updates the house, I think it will be a fantastic rental! The lakefront location offers a lovely natural backdrop that enhances the overall ambiance of the stay, making it particularly enjoyable for morning coffee or evening relaxation while taking in the scenic surroundings.

Two night stay with my wife and two kids. Place is nice, quiet, big enough for a short getaway. The pics don't do the view justice, you are closer to the water and can see it from every window on that side of the house. House is clean. Mattresses are ok, the bunks were uncomfortable for my 16 year old, probably nicer for smaller kids. Other mattresses are also ok, clean and not very noisy, but I was looking forward to a better night's sleep on my mattress. I stay in a lot of hotels, so I am spoiled. We enjoyed our stay, we were out and about outside all day, back for evenings to hang out and spend time together. Would stay again for sure, the cost of this house is a good value!

The best thing about this house was the view. We had so much rainy weather but that is the fault of no one. The house looked clean. The weather definitely prevented us from being able to enjoy the backyard.

It was a very nice experience to have shared time with my family at Matthew's lake house because the house, besides being beautiful, has all the amenities to spend a relaxing and fun time with the family, in addition to having received excellent service from Matthew because we were always in communication because his goal was for my family and I to have a good time, to those who want to go and spend a nice and fun time, I recommend the house 100%.
