This house was an absolute dream. It was romantic and cozy in the living room by the fire but the STAR was by far the kitchen full of windows and a wonderful island. The incredible banquet surrounding the massive table was perfect for games, dinner and curling up and with a good conversation. The heated floors were a surprise and added to the atmosphere! HIGHLY recommend!!

We LOVE this beautiful cottage. Very secluded in the woods, yet very close to the town of Woodstock and 30 min to Rhinebeck. Robyn, the property manager, is very responsive. PLEASE NOTE: The kitchen has no microwave - we brought ours. And we brought two non-skid frying pans (their frying pans were lacking). Kitchen is otherwise well stocked. Also, an added bonus: a very nice upright Kawai piano which was in reasonable tune. If you need something to do, recommend the Poet's Walk, a park on the other side of the Rhinecliff-Kingston bridge, with spectacular views of the river and bridge.

This is a lovely, cozy, well equipped home, has everything you need and is very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Looks just like the pictures. Fully stocked large kitchen, I can't imagine there would be anything you need that they didn't have. The two bedrooms were comfortable. The sun room was a nice place to work surrounded by windows with a beautiful view, nothing but forest outside. We saw deer and raccoons on the property the first day, we loved it! The location is quiet yet very close to town, very convenient.Only negatives we noted:There was only cheap 1-ply toilet paper, it was horrible and we used 3 times as much. I would suggest bringing your own if you are stopping at the store.The house is set back from the road, so using google maps makes the location tricky to find. Even though the directions from the host were great, it was dark and our first night we got really nervous because we couldn't find the driveway. We did a google pin drop the next day which was invaluable.2 Queen Beds - one is rather hard, the other softer. I would not have been able to sleep on the firmer bed, but my teenager was fine with it, although she did notice mine was much more comfortable.My bed sheets were not clean, I had to change them when we got there, which was disappointing. Fortunately they had spare sheets. Bedroom window was warped and wouldn't close, but property manager sent someone to fix it right away.The hammock was nice to have but ripped in places.

The house and the grounds were awesome. House was large and spacious. The grounds were private and nestled into a mountain and the adjacent woods which was awesome. Very quiet and peaceful with close proximity to the town of Woodstock. Great location for people who want to hike in the Woodstock/Catskills area.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this property. Far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the sounds of silence, but just a short drive into Woodstock. It was a real bonus having a hiking trail right across the street. The yard was a perfect spot to sit in nature with a good book. The house was great - clean and spacious with an amazing kitchen! Exactly what we needed.

My husband and I returned to the Woodstock area for a wonderful get away in December. The house was perfect for us, with the lovely fireplace, the yard for our border collie to wander around in, and its proximity to Woodstock and to both the Hudson Valley and the Catskills wilderness. The house was perfect for us, especially the spectacular kitchen, were we basically lived for much of our trip. The house is comfortable and cozy, and we would highly recommend it, especially for those traveling with pets.

I raised my girls in Woodstock. This trip was about showing my grandchildren what it was like growing up here. The kids had a great time and I enjoyed seeing them explore the area! Easy access to downtown, Opus 40, short drive to North Lake and all our other favorite haunts. The house was clean, and well appointed!

My friend and I returned to our home town to bring my father’s ashes home. We were welcomed with a few local treats and a note about my dad, a Woodstock character for many years. It was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed an unseasonably warm evening outside in front of a fire, saw plenty of deer, and enjoyed peace in the woods. At the end of our long days, we were happy to zone out for a bit on the smart tv :) The art in the place was also really cool!

My family of three (plus dachshund) enjoyed our stay at this beautiful artist’s home. The cabin is light and spacious in the living areas (kitchen, living room, porch), and cozy in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed reading the children’s books written/illustrated by the owner (we assume) and seeing the eclectic art throughout the house. The cabin feels completely private as the grounds are large, yet Woodstock, Rhinebeck and other town conveniences are all close by. It really is a delightful home. The property manager, Robyn, told us everything we needed to know; check in was easy; and we were greeted with a nice bag of coffee, delicious maple syrup and some very tasty pretzels. I really don’t want to be totally honest with how much we loved this home because I do want there to be some vacancies for us to return in the future! Our only complaint is that we were should have stayed longer! We were completely enchanted with the peace and comfort of this rustic and charming country cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in this beautiful home tucked away but still very close to things in town in Woodstock, hiking, and exploring. It was more spacious than expected, enough to spread out and enjoy some quiet down time. Having a big kitchen space to enjoy making dinner in, coffee in the mornings and unwinding in the evenings was a real treat. The only unexpected thing was we were not prepared for the amount of ticks, so this limited our time using the outdoor space. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I would definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin in the woods. We saw fireflies, a bear, a fox and countless deer. The Wifi was great so the adults could work while the kids were at camp.

The house and the grounds were awesome. House was large and spacious. The grounds were private and nestled into a mountain and the adjacent woods which was awesome. Very quiet and peaceful with close proximity to the town of Woodstock. Great location for people who want to hike in the Woodstock/Catskills area.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this property. Far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the sounds of silence, but just a short drive into Woodstock. It was a real bonus having a hiking trail right across the street. The yard was a perfect spot to sit in nature with a good book. The house was great - clean and spacious with an amazing kitchen! Exactly what we needed.

My family of three (plus dachshund) enjoyed our stay at this beautiful artist’s home. The cabin is light and spacious in the living areas (kitchen, living room, porch), and cozy in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed reading the children’s books written/illustrated by the owner (we assume) and seeing the eclectic art throughout the house. The cabin feels completely private as the grounds are large, yet Woodstock, Rhinebeck and other town conveniences are all close by. It really is a delightful home. The property manager, Robyn, told us everything we needed to know; check in was easy; and we were greeted with a nice bag of coffee, delicious maple syrup and some very tasty pretzels. I really don’t want to be totally honest with how much we loved this home because I do want there to be some vacancies for us to return in the future! Our only complaint is that we were should have stayed longer! We were completely enchanted with the peace and comfort of this rustic and charming country cabin.

Loved this house! Property and home were picturesque, perfect for a relaxing fall get away. We loved the huge kitchen surrounded by windows and the fireplace in the livingroom. Communication with the property manager was very easy, we will definitely look to book again.

We LOVE this beautiful cottage. Very secluded in the woods, yet very close to the town of Woodstock and 30 min to Rhinebeck. Robyn, the property manager, is very responsive. This is a lovely, cozy, well equipped home, has everything you need and is very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Looks just like the pictures. Fully stocked large kitchen, I can't imagine there would be anything you need that they didn't have. The two bedrooms were comfortable. The sun room was a nice place to work surrounded by windows with a beautiful view, nothing but forest outside. We saw deer and raccoons on the property the first day, we loved it! The location is quiet yet very close to town, very convenient.Only negatives we noted:There was only cheap 1-ply toilet paper, it was horrible and we used 3 times as much. I would suggest bringing your own if you are stopping at the store.The house is set back from the road, so using google maps makes the location tricky to find. Even though the directions from the host were great, it was dark and our first night we got really nervous because we couldn't find the driveway. We did a google pin drop the next day which was invaluable.2 Queen Beds - one is rather hard, the other softer. I would not have been able to sleep on the firmer bed, but my teenager was fine with it, although she did notice mine was much more comfortable.My bed sheets were not clean, I had to change them when we got there, which was disappointing. Fortunately they had spare sheets. Bedroom window was warped and wouldn't close, but property manager sent someone to fix it right away.The hammock was nice to have but ripped in places.

My family stayed here again, having visited last fall. We love the charm of the house, the seclusion of the property and the proximity to Hudson Valley destinations. There were some minor issues this year, so it was the first time I needed to reach out to a property manager. Robyn was absolutely wonderful! She was gracious and took care of everything, so there was no glitch in our plans at all. How I wish she could manage our home in NJ! Once again we had a delightful stay. The pictures do not lie--this is a real gem of a vacation home!

The cabin is a lovely combination of rustic charm, scenic quietude, and functional forethought. We had everything we needed to be renewed and to enjoy this beautiful area. My friend and I returned to our home town to bring my father’s ashes home. We were welcomed with a few local treats and a note about my dad, a Woodstock character for many years. It was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed an unseasonably warm evening outside in front of a fire, saw plenty of deer, and enjoyed peace in the woods. I raised my girls in Woodstock. This trip was about showing my grandchildren what it was like growing up here. The kids had a great time and I enjoyed seeing them explore the area! Easy access to downtown, Opus 40, short drive to North Lake and all our other favorite haunts. The house was clean, and well appointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in this beautiful home tucked away but still very close to things in town in Woodstock, hiking, and exploring. It was more spacious than expected, enough to spread out and enjoy some quiet down time. Having a big kitchen space to enjoy making dinner in, coffee in the mornings and unwinding in the evenings was a real treat. The only unexpected thing was we were not prepared for the amount of ticks, so this limited our time using the outdoor space. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I would definitely come back again.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. The property and home were better than the pictures. Heated floors were a plus. Loved that there was a hiking trail across the street as it made it super easy with our dogs. Just a few minutes from town, but with all the peace and tranquility needed right on the property.

This house was an absolute dream. It was romantic and cozy in the living room by the fire but the STAR was by far the kitchen full of windows and a wonderful island. The incredible banquet surrounding the massive table was perfect for games, dinner and curling up and with a good conversation. The heated floors were a surprise and added to the atmosphere! HIGHLY recommend!!

This is a lovely, cozy, well equipped home, has everything you need and is very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Looks just like the pictures. Fully stocked large kitchen, I can't imagine there would be anything you need that they didn't have. The two bedrooms were comfortable. The sun room was a nice place to work surrounded by windows with a beautiful view, nothing but forest outside. We saw deer and raccoons on the property the first day, we loved it! The location is quiet yet very close to town, very convenient.Only negatives we noted:There was only cheap 1-ply toilet paper, it was horrible and we used 3 times as much. I would suggest bringing your own if you are stopping at the store.The house is set back from the road, so using google maps makes the location tricky to find. Even though the directions from the host were great, it was dark and our first night we got really nervous because we couldn't find the driveway. We did a google pin drop the next day which was invaluable.2 Queen Beds - one is rather hard, the other softer. I would not have been able to sleep on the firmer bed, but my teenager was fine with it, although she did notice mine was much more comfortable.My bed sheets were not clean, I had to change them when we got there, which was disappointing. Fortunately they had spare sheets. Bedroom window was warped and wouldn't close, but property manager sent someone to fix it right away.The hammock was nice to have but ripped in places.

What a wonderful spot! We absolutely loved our time at the Red Barn. It was exactly as described. BONUS: the heated floors are pretty awesome. :-) Super clean. Authentic. Homey. Comfortable beds. Absolutely exquisite surroundings. It's a home run whether you want to explore or just cozy up and make memories. Robyn, the property manager, was there every step of the way and very responsive. We had a wonderful weekend staying at this property. Far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the sounds of silence, but just a short drive into Woodstock. It was a real bonus having a hiking trail right across the street. The yard was a perfect spot to sit in nature with a good book. The house was great - clean and spacious with an amazing kitchen! Exactly what we needed.

We LOVE this beautiful cottage. Very secluded in the woods, yet very close to the town of Woodstock and 30 min to Rhinebeck. Robyn, the property manager, is very responsive. PLEASE NOTE: The kitchen has no microwave - we brought ours. And we brought two non-skid frying pans (their frying pans were lacking). Kitchen is otherwise well stocked. Also, an added bonus: a very nice upright Kawai piano which was in reasonable tune. If you need something to do, recommend the Poet's Walk, a park on the other side of the Rhinecliff-Kingston bridge, with spectacular views of the river and bridge.

I raised my girls in Woodstock. This trip was about showing my grandchildren what it was like growing up here. The kids had a great time and I enjoyed seeing them explore the area! Easy access to downtown, Opus 40, short drive to North Lake and all our other favorite haunts. The house was clean, and well appointed!
