This is a beautiful upscale boutique hotel located in the middle of Hanga Roa town. It’s a short walk to the ocean, restaurants, mini markets and shops, as well as to two popular dance venues, Kari Kari and Varua Ora. Our room was airy, spotless and larger than we expected, with a balcony overlooking the lush tropical garden, pool and hot tub. The bathroom was modern with a spacious walk-in shower. Breakfast seating was personalized with our names on a placard and a different daily assortment of fruits, cheeses, sliced meats, yogurt, granola, warm biscuits and eggs to order. And we loved the pat of butter in the shape of a Moai guy! Most of all, the staff was so friendly and professional. From the moment Sebastian, the owner, picked us up from the airport with leis and a friendly smile, and drove us around town for a short tour, we knew this was a special place. When we arrived at the hotel, Sebastian welcomed us with refreshing drinks and a delicious local dessert, while he explained that the hotel was originally his grandmother’s house. At the end of our stay, we received sweet farewells from the staff, and Maria dropped us off at the airport with a warm goodbye hug. We were so sad to leave! Thank you, Sebastian, Maria and the rest of your staff for treating us like we were part of your family. We will always fondly remember our visit to Rapa Nui due to our incredible time at Hare Nua! Beautiful resort! Christina and her staff are wonderful and available to answer all your needs. The complimentary breakfast is exquisite. With homemade yogurt, fresh bake goods and fresh fruits. They also serve a delicious hot breakfast . The resort has a lovely setting where you can enjoy the pool, jacuzzi or the nice gardens. Hare Nua hotel has a gorgeous boutique where I bought high quality clothes and presents for my daughters. The hotel is located in the main avenue where you can shop souvenirs and food. Here Nua made my time in Isla de Pascua very special. I can’t wait to go back!

Hare Nua is one of the friendliest places I've stayed. It really felt like a family home but with lots of luxuries thrown in. All the staff are so engaged and helpful. The breakfasts include a wide range of foods plus freshly made eggs as you like them. Although there's no restaurant on site there are lots really nearby - the location is really central and you can walk anywhere in town. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms beautifully done. I enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi most days. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely, arranged with courtyards and small gathering areas. The breakfasts were fantastic. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants. This is the best place to stay when visiting Rapa Nui.

What a wonderful stay we had. We were greeted by Valentina at the airport with flower wreaths and given a quick tour of the city prior to being brought to the hotel. The check in process was very nice and calming with a welcoming juice and treat by Patricia. She took our photo for part of a departing surprise. We can’t emphasize all the small but important details throughout our whole stay that made our stay there exceptional. The breakfasts each day were amazing. The rooms clean and comfortable. The courtyard was a little oasis. The whole property was welcoming and relaxing. They provide and had thought out anything you could have wanted and the staff was always available to help if they hadn’t addressed an anticipated need. Nice honesty bar with drinks if needed. The location was great and safe. The towns shopping and restaurants were all very walkable. We enjoyed the resident cat Chimuelo and loved him. We loved listening to the neighborhood roosters. We loved the garden and seating areas. Thanks so much to the amazing staff. Patricia, the two Valentina’s, and Vania. There are others not mentioned just as compassionate and supportive. Thank you for a memorable stay. We felt like family. The name Hana Nua we were told is roughly grandmother’s house. The staff and welcoming environment made it feel that way. Hare Nui is an excellent choice for lodging on Rapa Nui. Eduardo is the perfect host and attends to every detail. There are excellent touring options that he can arrange. The hotel is charming and the amenities include a pool and hot tub and an excellent breakfast to start the day.

OMG! Easter Island is a dream location and Hare Nua was our dream accommodation in Hanga Roa. Located on the main street, so close to everything, but quiet at the same time. Hare Nua is a real boutique hotel - small, but with all amenities that you need, everything is of excellent quality, in particular if you consider where you are! Hotel is 5*, very comfortable, with a lot of common spaces, jacuzzi, honesty bar, etc. Some reviewers were complaining that the breakfast was served (not buffet) and therefore not sufficient - it is opposite. The brekafast was very good and absolutely sufficient, you may order various hot dishes made to order and everyday you receive home made cake. I really believe that served breakfast is a very responsible choice considering that you are on a remote island with limited supplies. But all comfort of Hare Nua was not what made our stay - it was the Staff. We felt like a part of a big family. From the checkin, tropical welcome drink, cute sign with our first names during meals until birthday celebration for my wife, with birthday cake, traditional Polynesian crown for her, Happy Birthday in local language and warm greetings from all the Staff. Thank you so much Hare Nua Family! We can't promise that we will come back, as this was the most remote travel in our life, but anybody visiting the island should try Hare Nua experience!

So happy with our stay at Hare Nua. Maria and Sebastian were excellent. We loved our breakfast each morning! We were there during July, a cooler month, so too cool for swimming but the pool was beautiful and looked very inviting! The entire courtyard was enchanting and we loved having coffee on the front porch area of the lobby. The location was walkable to several places so we did not rent a car. Lots of good restaurants nearby--the pizzeria in particular had great service and food, as did Aringa Ora. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Easter Island!

The staff were welcoming and helpful, asking about our plans and offering suggestions during our stay on the island. We requested airport transportation, including pick-up and drop-off in a vehicle. Each morning, we were welcomed to breakfast. We had our tour arranged and were welcomed back each day by the accommodating front-desk staff. There was a swimming pool, which was great to cool off in during the evening. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others for its price, location, proximity to town, shopping, and restaurants.

A/c in the room did not work. Took all day to fix. Had to turn off at night as it blasted on to you in bed. Description on Expedia not even close to reality. It is not near the beach, there are no beach bars (or bars of any kind), no onsite spa, no snack bar/deli, no tv in the lobby. Expedia should review the hotel description online as people are making purchasing decisions based on erroneous information. The room and facilities are very basic, certainly NOT luxurious. The “designer toiletries” were in glass bottles and the shelf in the shower was falling off the wall - potential for broken glass in the shower if dropped. Breakfast was disappointing and seating cramped with adjoining tables almost touching. Room at the front faced the street where there was constant traffic noise and loud music until after 2am. We booked and paid for three nights but, as it was so bad, we left after the first night and went to a good hotel. We did not get any refund.

It was such a lovely place. They made sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. Nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was nice. The location is perfect. Great fresh fish and empanadas restaurant just across the street. Highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel.

The breakfast at Hare Nui was phenomenal every day and their attention to detail was amazing. The room was clean and very comfortable and the sitting areas and gardens are beautiful. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We cannot say enough good things about the hotel!

Everyone was welcoming and helpful from the moment Maria picked us up at the airport. Sebastian was there to explain Hare Nua's history. Room was clean and spacious (corner) Breakfast was amazing, more than we could eat!!!They are near the market, so we could get snacks and extra water (filtered water provided was appreciated but quite flat and tasteless) They gave us restaurant recommendatiions as well. I recommend Harer Nua to anyone visiting Easter Island (Rapa Nui, Isla de Pascua).

Hare Nua is as nice a spot as you will find in the one and only town of Hanga Roa. The staff is young and very friendly, and they go out of their way to make the experience as best as it can be for their guests. The breakfasts are very good and include personal touches that won't go unnoticed. The hotel provides additional services like airport picks and tour packages that I would recommend you consider. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It's a good spot about 15 minutes walk from the main area in town.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff are helpful. The room is clean. At breakfast table - we find every table labeled with our names :). such a warm and personal gesture that made us feel truly welcomed. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family

What a memotable stay! You are welcomed in with a banana pastry and drink. The rooms are terrific, have AC and are super clean and modern. There is no TV but wifi is good so bring ypur own device. A/c in the room did not work. Took all day to fix. Had to turn off at night as it blasted on to you in bed. Description on Expedia not even close to reality. It is not near the beach, there are no beach bars (or bars of any kind), no onsite spa, no snack bar/deli, no tv in the lobby. Expedia should review the hotel description online as people are making purchasing decisions based on erroneous information. The room and facilities are very basic, certainly NOT luxurious. The “designer toiletries” were in glass bottles and the shelf in the shower was falling off the wall - potential for broken glass in the shower if dropped. Breakfast was disappointing and seating cramped with adjoining tables almost touching. Room at the front faced the street where there was constant traffic noise and loud music until after 2am. We booked and paid for three nights but, as it was so bad, we left after the first night and went to a good hotel. We did not get any refund.

We had a really beautiful stay at Hotel Hare Nua. From start to finish, they exemplified excellent hospitality. The breakfast is charming, the beds were very comfortable, the shower pressure was strong and temperature easily adaptable. The location is excellent and walkable to everything you'd need to access - restaurants, bars, post office, souvenir shops, shows, etc. I would 10/10 recommend Hotel Hare Nua to families, couples, solo travellers visit Easter Island/Rapa Nui.

The staff was lovely, especially Patricia. The room was clean and modern. Only two downsides: lack of hot water, and the Internet coverage was spotty, I think those things come with being in the most isolated place on earth!

Amazing place located in the center of everything. A ten minute walk to the coast, 20 minutes from the most incredible sunset view of the moai’s. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are large and comfortable Breakfast is amazing there.

Service and breakfast were excellent and (given plenty of advanced notice) they catered well to some restrictive dietary limitations, so make sure to let them know of any allergies or intolerances when you book, and maybe send a reminder a month or so before your arrival. I am so glad I chose Hare Nua for our family trip to Easter Island. From the pickup at the airport to the drop off at the end of our trip, the service was top notch. Maria, Sebastian, Claudio, and the rest of the staff were amazingly kind and gracious, helping us out whenever we needed it. The hotel is perfectly located along the Main Street of Hanga Roa, within walking distance of the whole town, including many restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The rooms were very comfortable, with great a/c and wonderful water pressure in the showers. The grounds are beautiful, with lush landscaping and a nice shady pool and hot tub. The complimentary continental breakfast was always delicious. I would highly recommend Hare Nua to anyone visiting Easter Island!

The service was incredibly professional yet also friendly and kind. That’s a hard needle to thread. The hotel is lovely. The location could only be more perfect with an ocean view, but was lovely as it was. The breakfast each morning was amazing! They are super helpful at each stage of the trip from booking, to negotiating Chilean customs, to recommending tours and restaurants to making you feel at ease. Many thanks to Patricia and Maria for your kindness.

What a wonderful stay we had. We were greeted by Valentina at the airport with flower wreaths and given a quick tour of the city prior to being brought to the hotel. The check in process was very nice and calming with a welcoming juice and treat by Patricia. She took our photo for part of a departing surprise. We can’t emphasize all the small but important details throughout our whole stay that made our stay there exceptional. The breakfasts each day were amazing. The rooms clean and comfortable. The courtyard was a little oasis. The whole property was welcoming and relaxing. They provide and had thought out anything you could have wanted and the staff was always available to help if they hadn’t addressed an anticipated need. Nice honesty bar with drinks if needed. The location was great and safe. The towns shopping and restaurants were all very walkable. We enjoyed the resident cat Chimuelo and loved him. We loved listening to the neighborhood roosters. We loved the garden and seating areas. Thanks so much to the amazing staff. Patricia, the two Valentina’s, and Vania. There are others not mentioned just as compassionate and supportive. Thank you for a memorable stay. We felt like family. The name Hana Nua we were told is roughly grandmother’s house. The staff and welcoming environment made it feel that way. When my flight out cancelled, they kept on top of it, and worked to arrange another hotel for the night. This staff is first class!

Loved this hotel Hare Nua where we spent 3 night. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of healthy choices and each day it varied a little with different juices, fruit and other treats. I have seen many positive reviews on this boutique hotel and after a recent stay, I know why everyone rates it so highly. First we were greeted by two outstanding hosts that pretty much are interacting with you for your entire stay. They will be happy to book tours and reservations and made excellent recommendations that truly made our time here amazing. Our room was clean and recently renovated and although many will say air conditioning doesn't matter on the island, it was very nice to have. I will say the breakfast at this establishment was simply amazing and I would give this hotel 5 stars just for the breakfast. But again, it is the collection of food, accommodations and service that make this place truly remarkable on the island.

This is a beautiful upscale boutique hotel located in the middle of Hanga Roa town. It’s a short walk to the ocean, restaurants, mini markets and shops, as well as to two popular dance venues, Kari Kari and Varua Ora. Our room was airy, spotless and larger than we expected, with a balcony overlooking the lush tropical garden, pool and hot tub. The bathroom was modern with a spacious walk-in shower. Breakfast seating was personalized with our names on a placard and a different daily assortment of fruits, cheeses, sliced meats, yogurt, granola, warm biscuits and eggs to order. And we loved the pat of butter in the shape of a Moai guy! Most of all, the staff was so friendly and professional. From the moment Sebastian, the owner, picked us up from the airport with leis and a friendly smile, and drove us around town for a short tour, we knew this was a special place. When we arrived at the hotel, Sebastian welcomed us with refreshing drinks and a delicious local dessert, while he explained that the hotel was originally his grandmother’s house. At the end of our stay, we received sweet farewells from the staff, and Maria dropped us off at the airport with a warm goodbye hug. We were so sad to leave! Thank you, Sebastian, Maria and the rest of your staff for treating us like we were part of your family. We will always fondly remember our visit to Rapa Nui due to our incredible time at Hare Nua! Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely, arranged with courtyards and small gathering areas. The breakfasts were fantastic. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants. This is the best place to stay when visiting Rapa Nui.

Amazing place located in the center of everything. A ten minute walk to the coast, 20 minutes from the most incredible sunset view of the moai’s. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are large and comfortable Breakfast is amazing there.

OMG! Easter Island is a dream location and Hare Nua was our dream accommodation in Hanga Roa. Located on the main street, so close to everything, but quiet at the same time. Hare Nua is a real boutique hotel - small, but with all amenities that you need, everything is of excellent quality, in particular if you consider where you are! Hotel is 5*, very comfortable, with a lot of common spaces, jacuzzi, honesty bar, etc. Some reviewers were complaining that the breakfast was served (not buffet) and therefore not sufficient - it is opposite. The brekafast was very good and absolutely sufficient, you may order various hot dishes made to order and everyday you receive home made cake. I really believe that served breakfast is a very responsible choice considering that you are on a remote island with limited supplies. But all comfort of Hare Nua was not what made our stay - it was the Staff. We felt like a part of a big family. From the checkin, tropical welcome drink, cute sign with our first names during meals until birthday celebration for my wife, with birthday cake, traditional Polynesian crown for her, Happy Birthday in local language and warm greetings from all the Staff. Thank you so much Hare Nua Family! We can't promise that we will come back, as this was the most remote travel in our life, but anybody visiting the island should try Hare Nua experience!

Location was perfect - very central so easy to walk to anywhere in town (which is small). Nice rooms - not huge, but adequate. Service and breakfast were excellent and (given plenty of advanced notice) they catered well to some restrictive dietary limitations, so make sure to let them know of any allergies or intolerances when you book, and maybe send a reminder a month or so before your arrival. Front desk service and cleaning staff were all really helpful.

Breakfast was beyond expectations! They set up your personal table with all the options you could want, a personal plaque with our names and made to order eggs. The attention to detail was amazing! The staff is super friendly and go out of their way to help make sure you have the best experience. Highly recommend this place!!!

Our stay at Hare Nua was excellent! The property is definitely worth the stay - air conditioned, comfortable rooms with a tropical island like feel. The two best parts besides the rooms themselves are the breakfast (the ask you in advance for your preferences) and the staff that runs the place. The breakfast is awesome. However, the staff that runs the place is amazing! Iorana!

Everything about this hotel was superior. Never have we felt as welcome and appreciated as at Hotel Hare Nua (Grandma's House). Large & airy rooms, opulent personal care items, delightful contcontinental breakfast and relaxing vibe - this place has it all!

A beautiful property right in the heart of town. A short walk to lots of great shops and restaurants. Opted for the transfer which included a little tour of the town which was very useful to help get our bearings. Service was great, breakfast was super delicious - including the sumptuous breakfast box for our sunrise tour. Would highly recommend.

The breakfast at Hare Nui was phenomenal every day and their attention to detail was amazing. The room was clean and very comfortable and the sitting areas and gardens are beautiful. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We cannot say enough good things about the hotel!

Picked up from the airport - lovely lady was waiting with a board with my name on it (and others) gave us all close garlands and a lovely tour of the island - food trucks, supermarket and where to get other bits. The hotel is LOVELYYYY - very nice and my room was huge - very clean and the WiFi works perfectly. Breakfast is very lovely too and healthy. You can tell they think about every last detail. I wanted to go to the Kari Kari show one night and they booked this for me.

Hare Nui is an excellent choice for lodging on Rapa Nui. Eduardo is the perfect host and attends to every detail. There are excellent touring options that he can arrange. The hotel is charming and the amenities include a pool and hot tub and an excellent breakfast to start the day.

Loved this hotel Hare Nua where we spent 3 night. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of healthy choices and each day it varied a little with different juices, fruit and other treats. Great attention to making our stay enjoyable and some great meal recommendations. The owners are friendly and accommodating as well as the entire staff who made us feel very welcome

The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and really made sure we were well looked after. I am dairy free and gluten free diet and they made sure I had a delicious breakfast each morning. I could not recommend this hotel any higher and will go back

This was by far the best hotel that I stayed at on my three week journey through South America. The property was upscale and clean, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and personable, and the breakfast was amazing! The property is also conveniently located to the airport (about a 10 minute walk that is very safe), and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again when I return to Easter Island.

A wonderful stay at Hare Nua Hotel. We took advantage of the airport pick-up and scheduled with the hotel ahead of time. Thank goodness we did because there was a downpour when we arrived. We were quickly greeted by the hotel and received a flower necklace. We drove around the city/shore on our way to the hotel. Once we arrived, we were greeted with a traditional snack and drink. Our hotel room wasn't ready, however, the hotel was located right on the main street so everything was in walking distance. We could easily walk to shops, a grocery store, and the coastline. Our hotel room was really nice with a vaulted ceiling. The entire hotel was just beautiful. We ate breakfast every morning and we were assigned a table with our names fully presented. The breakfast was slightly different every morning but we could get eggs, in any style, every day. It was delicious. Overall, this was a wonderful hotel--clean, beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The added perk was that we were so close to everything. I highly recommend this hotel!
