Casa Mandarina was amazing, I highly recommended the panorama room. We arrived after dark had a little trouble finding it- the Google Maps location leads you to a convenience shop Mazunte. We loved everything about charming San Augustinillo and Casa Mandriana. We were even pleasantly surprised with a mini fridge in our room.

Very nice and clean room. Comfortable beds, nice sized room and bathrooms. AC was available and greatly appreciated after the hot sunny days and there was a mini fridge which helped keep our beverages cool. There was no clear reception area, but we came into the restaurant area below the hotel rooms and were able to talk with the staff and check in a bit early. The beach front area has some chairs and umbrellas which can be used you buy food from the restaurant. Right on the beach, perfect view! Simple but comfortable accommodation with air conditioning. Very attentive staff. The internet did not work for us on this trip. We have stayed in the past & it worked great. We would absolutely stay here again.

The location said Mazunte, but in reality it was located in San Agustinillo... we had to call and get the right address. The hotel information said check in at 9am, we arrived at 10:30 am and there was no staff when we checked in, only 1 waiter and an lady who apparentlywas the boss, but they didnt know about our reservation they kept on insisting us on a rate of $2,800 pesos per night and only stoped until we showed our Expedia confirmation. Apparently the "hotel" staff didn't come in until 1pm, so we couldn't pay our stay upfront like we planned... When we were taken to our room they didn't give us a key, we had to ask for it and they had to go and "find it". The waiter cameback with a bunch of keys and tried them on our room door to see which one worked... There was no TV in the room Our resevation included breakfast, but on the first morning, we went down at 8am and there was no one in the hotel/restaurant but us... so we just went somewhere else to have breakfast since we had our day already planned. On our second day we decided to wait until 10am when there was actually some staff, to go and have breakfast...

The hotel might be a little small, but is perfectly located. The food is great and the staff were very friendly. My room was comfortable and the air conditioning works great ( to me that and the cleanliness are a must). The ocean is right outside the rooms. The small bay where is located has great waves for adults and kids. I love the place

Este hotel es único, tiene muy pocas habitaciones por lo que es un lugar muy tranquilo y lo mejor de todo, es que da a la playa de San Agustinillo. ¡Es un encanto! Un lugar mágico, habitaciones lindas y atención amable.

We found the front door locked several times, our breakfast included we didn’t get due to early rising nobody around. The beds are very firm so hard to sleep! Staff excellent, restaurant was good and the view totally worth it!

El hotel es pequeño pero muy bonito, la habitación muy cómoda, limpia y con todo lo básico para una agradable estancia, eso si no hay tele! Tuvimos mala suerte que hubiera mar de fondo y el oleaje no deja descansar al 100 del todo, se cuela mucho ruido a la habitacion! El desayuno venia incluido y muy rico, solo que no tenían los ingredientes de ciertos platillos y solo hay 1 mesera para todas las mesas, al final es muy agradable y atenta pero si hay clientes hay que tener paciencia…

The hotel information said check in at 9am, we arrived at 10:30 am and there was no staff when we checked in, only 1 waiter and an lady who apparentlywas the boss, but they didnt know about our reservation they kept on insisting us on a rate of $2,800 pesos per night and only stoped until we showed our Expedia confirmation. Apparently the "hotel" staff didn't come in until 1pm, so we couldn't pay our stay upfront like we planned... When we were taken to our room they didn't give us a key, we had to ask for it and they had to go and "find it". The waiter cameback with a bunch of keys and tried them on our room door to see which one worked... There was no TV in the room Our resevation included breakfast, but on the first morning, we went down at 8am and there was no one in the hotel/restaurant but us... so we just went somewhere else to have breakfast since we had our day already planned. On our second day we decided to wait until 10am when there was actually some staff, to go and have breakfast...

Casa Mandarina was amazing, I highly recommended the panorama room. We arrived after dark had a little trouble finding it- the Google Maps location leads you to a convenience shop Mazunte. We loved everything about charming San Augustinillo and Casa Mandriana. We were even pleasantly surprised with a mini fridge in our room.

Very nice and clean room. Comfortable beds, nice sized room and bathrooms. AC was available and greatly appreciated after the hot sunny days and there was a mini fridge which helped keep our beverages cool. There was no clear reception area, but we came into the restaurant area below the hotel rooms and were able to talk with the staff and check in a bit early. The beach front area has some chairs and umbrellas which can be used you buy food from the restaurant. The location was wrong in Google maps previously, but I believe it is now showing up correctly in San Agustinillo.

If you’re looking for a small, family run hotel right on the beach, you’re in luck! We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly manger of the hotel who had a special surprise for us in our room because I mentioned it was our 30th anniversary. Such a sweet touch! We fell asleep to the sound of the pounding waves, which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning is fruit with yogurt and muesli, coffee and for me Huevos Rancheros. The food was excellent, and although the service could be a little pokey at times, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Tips: As you face the beach, walk to the right to the Playa Bebe for tranquil swimming out of the surf. I would highly recommend this place for a small hotel experience. Their kitchen closes at 530pm, but there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby!

Loved our beachfront location and view! Honestly the best view from the balcony and you can hear the waves overnight. Just be careful with the strong current. The neighborhood is very quiet. The hotel restaurant wasn’t open at this time but the staff was helpful with requests. The hotel shower water felt a bit salty and our products and soaps could never lather, that’s the only thing I could say that could improve. Other than that, best view ever!

The room was incredible!! All amenities needed to have a wonderful time. The view from the room was beautiful as well and not to mention the attention of the staff was excellent. As a oaxaqueña it is relieving when companies, restaurants or places of hospitality also care for their own people not just the foreigners. This place did just that, they made sure we felt just as welcomed as any other foreigner visiting the coast of Oaxaca. Thank you for the wonderful stay !!!
