Shamokin Bed and Breakfast

A really unique property. Cool, but a little creepy. Overall, it was pretty clean, but little things like window shutters and cabinet doors weren't working properly. My biggest issue is they call themselves a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is little more than a snack bar with packaged snacks, cereal, and milk in the fridge. Not even a continental breakfast... Also, there is no staff present, which worked fine, but again, as a "bed and breakfast" was odd.

Be aware that breakfast is not expected B&B style. It is just sugar and carbs, no protein, no eggs. If you are a fan of Hostess muffins then you will be happy. Overpromise -> Underdeliver is this location's motto

This place is a hidden gem. It’s literally like renting out your own mansion, the entire building is very clean and well maintained. I was on the third floor and had great water pressure. There is some parking in back and a ton of side street parking on either side of the block. I saw some reviews upset they don’t offer an actual breakfast and that’s true, but there are some things like muffins, yogurt and cereal left out for free. There is no staff on site so it’s pretty obvious there wouldn’t be a full hot breakfast; it operates more like an AirBnB. The rooms are seriously gorgeous and my bed was so comfortable. It exceeded all expectations I had and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We are repeat customers at the shamokin bed and breakfast. The town is a little bit run down, but the property itself is beautiful. They have done an excellent job, restoring it and it has a ton of character and charm. I have only met the staff a couple of times but the property manager is extremely helpful and friendly. They used to not have a lot for breakfast options, but this time they have upgraded to several muffins and coffee machines and a few other options. Highly recommend.

Room was very clean with spacious bathroom, staff was friendly! Limited parking, coffee and snacks provided.
