Well placed on the periphery of downtown so just a short walk. Plenty of parking. Good size , clean and well equipped room with decent aircon. Very warm welcome and local advice on arrival.

The location and ease of getting around was perfect. Hotel is older, but in good condition. not fancy but suited our needs just fine. gathering area with grill and seating, while we didn't get an opportunity to use- was a nice bonus especially for a group. Our only complaint was our towels were stained. we ended up getting our own. If we had an occasion for the two of us again to return to Colorado Springs, we would definitely consider going back.

The hotel was good as far as location, close to things to walk to or drive. The air conditioner didn’t work very well, even though it was on full blast. Donuts and coffee in the lobby on the weekends was a nice addition. The beds were comfy and that’s all we needed.

Phone had no dial tone, no blackout curtains. Our 2nd night consisted of virtually no sleep as there was yelling and slamming doors around 3AM. The ice machine was located on level 2, with no signage and in a laundry room in a corner, when I opened the only door available I didn’t even see the tiny machine. I started to go back to my room but decided to take another look.

The staff was very nice and willing to help. They made all efforts to send codes to make getting into the room a breeze since the office isnt open pass 10. Yes it is an older property but clean.

Really great renovated rooms for a decent price. Carlos the manager and his staff were very welcoming and helpful upon arrival. They even made space for us to park our 24foot rv in the parking lot. They definitely go above and beyond to help you feel comfortable and welcomed.

The office closes at 10pm. So do their laundry facilities. Not sure if they have an ice machine (they have ice buckets in the room) but we NEVER found the machine. No breakfast either. Otherwise, the beds very comfy.

overall the staff was wonderful when they were there. the motel isn't staffed overnight though. no one was there in the morning( 6am) when i needed to check out. the photos appear to have been taken awhile ago because you could tell there was a lot of wear and tear on the walls, mirrors, tiles, floors. There was also no headboards?? also couldn't find the ice machine, and no staff was there to guide me to it.

There was no soap (like they were out of soap), the room was not clean, it had a bit of a smell, the curtains didn’t close all the way, and…our bed was broken! To their credit, the lady working and maintenance man tried to help and did end up bringing us a new bed frame at 9:30 pm. They were trying, the motel is bad, do not recommend.

This place was amazing! Motel that’s been completely refurbished with a wonderful retro vibe and neighborhood feel. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Room was spotless, bedding was comfy, and all the staff we had contact with were super friendly. This will be our place to stay when visiting Colorado Springs.

Upon checking in I realized that my room had not really been cleaned very well, but I was too exhausted to deal with it immediately. The next morning when I went to make coffee I realized that the carafe still had coffee in the bottom of it and it had not been washed. I also realized that my feet were filthy black from the floor which meant it had not been mopped. Also in the bathroom, when I moved the toilet paper holder, there was a used bandaid and wrapper underneath it. Yet another indication it hadn't been mopped and cleaned thoroughly. The TV remote was missing the back and only worked if you were standing right next to the TV with it pointed at the receiver. This is a older place with a huge upgrade in furnishings which would have made it super nice, if it had been cleaned properly!!

I have never felt the need to leave a hotel review before now. When we first got into the room we noticed right off the "bed covers" were dirty with visible raised crusty "stuff" on them. I put bed covers in quotes because these were the only blanket on the beds. There were no actual blankets on the bed with the sheets. I did ask for clean bed covers and was given new ones. The toilet would not flush. They did come right away and unclog the toilet. As you can see in the photos I have attached the room was filthy. sticky stuff on side table, wet and sticky stuff all around the lamp on the night stand between the beds, toilet.... nasty, walls and doors ... nasty. We opened up the fridge and there was still old food left in it and you guessed it.... Nasty! We had been traveling all day, I had two of my kids with me so I was just trying to get through till morning and relocate. After about two hours in the room my youngest had a severe allergy attack and I had to take her to sleep in our vehicle at 12:30am in the morning. Office was closed. At about 3:30 am we packed up and went to a different hotel. One good thing I can say is that the mattress was very comfortable.

The receptionist was very nice. They had Netflix. The police arrived right after we checked you could them arguing with a guest. The room was gross super dirty, dirty, dirty. Did I say dirty!!!!! The floor was not even swept. Found someone nail, hair tie. We went and got cleaning supplies of our own to clean the shower, floor, and sink. The coffee pot had a very alive bug in it. So we bought a coffe pot. Soooooo will all the investment we made in cleaning supplies. We really did save much. Do not recommend if you like a clean motel room. Why didn’t we leave. To tired to keep looking for a different place.

First, deadbolt on door appeared to have been kicked in. It locked, but seemed less than secure if someone wanted to get in. Second it smelled musty/mildewy. These 2 things almost made us go get changed to another room, but the motel had already called us twice because they needed to change our room because they needed the double queen for other guests because their heat didn't work. Third, and worst of all, the next morning we found out the hot water tap in the shower didn't work. That is unforgivable. We told the front desk, but the response was indifference.

The room was clean and had been remodeled. The towels are super soft and the bed comfortable. The motel is in the downtown area of Colo Springs which does have a higher percentage of homeless than the more suburban/highway areas. That said, we felt safe and had no issues. We were careful not to leave anything in the car though. I liked this motel and the walkability to downtown businesses. It was a short walk to several great restaurants and bars.

It would be perfect if the ceiling furnace was working. They gave me a nice big ceramic heater that does the job but not having to maneuver around it would be much better. The room is beautiful - well appointed with modern devor accents and theme. New sinks, counters, floor, comfy beds, all new furniture. Very clean with plenty of towels, etc. Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker all are new and functional.

Perfectly adequate motel for short stay. Upgraded fixtures, so good lighting and plumbing. Beds and bed clothes fairly comfortable. Good AC. Not much noise. Bravo for all modernizing efforts!

We booked 8 rooms for two nights. We arrived late at about 10:30pm due to the delay of the flight from Yellowstone. The door is closed and nobody answer to the phone call when we got the hotel. We have pre paid the room charge. We have no way but find other hotels but other hotels available were very expensive. We were a group of 31 members. This kind of thing must not be happened to any member hotels of Hotels.com.

We booked 8 rooms for two nights. We arrived late at about 10:30pm due to the delay of the flight from Yellowstone. The door is closed and nobody answer to the phone call when we got the hotel. We have pre paid the room charge. We have no way but find other hotels but other hotels available were very expensive. We were a group of 31 members. I was arriving 20mins after the office closed and spoke to someone earlier that morning to notify them. They told me they would send me a code to get into the room which I never received. I called them for 3 hours from 6p-9p with no answer (2 different numbers). Showed up without hearing from them in hopes things would ahve worked out. Ended up booking another place down the street. Very unprofessional!

Such a great stuff as soon as we checked in they were attentive and willing to allow us to check in mildly early. Rooms looked adequate for what we paid. I would definitely go back again!!!

I wanted to stay in downtown colorado spring to explore that part of town and found this motel. It was retro cool and at a great value. It is close to everything so we could walk everywere to find all the fun restuarant and clubs. The staff was very friendly and easy going.

The staff is very friendly and they cant do anything about the environment for which they are in. Motorcycles, cars, and trucks are revving around this area at all hours. Car alarms are also going off far more frequently than one would assume. Again staff nor facility can do anything about that

This was a real cute and cozy Motel, with Boutique Hotel vibes. My room was quiet, comfy and beautifully decorated. Close to downtown, great restaurants, shopping and sightseeing! I would definitely stay here again!

Fast check in. Very friendly clerk. Fast and easy checkout. Location is perfect if you are doing anything downtown and don't want the hassle of driving and then finding parking. Room was in excellent shape, everything worked and the beds were very comfortable.

The room was clean and had been remodeled. The towels are super soft and the bed comfortable. The motel is in the downtown area of Colo Springs which does have a higher percentage of homeless than the more suburban/highway areas. That said, we felt safe and had no issues. We were careful not to leave anything in the car though. I liked this motel and the walkability to downtown businesses. It was a short walk to several great restaurants and bars.

I liked it. Good central location and it was spacious and provided everything I needed for a one-night stay. It's a motel, so don't expect anything fancy and you should have a good stay.

We were in town to see a comedian perform nearby. This place was Central to everywhere we needed to be on our trip, clean, safe, newly renovated and updated. Owners were nice and would stay here again. Price is on the money.

The hotel was good as far as location, close to things to walk to or drive. The air conditioner didn’t work very well, even though it was on full blast. Donuts and coffee in the lobby on the weekends was a nice addition. The beds were comfy and that’s all we needed.

Really great refurbished property! Right downtown and you can walk to Main Street! Would definitely stay again for the price and location! Front desk staff were very nice and had donuts and coffee in the morning for guests.

The office closes at 10pm. So do their laundry facilities. Not sure if they have an ice machine (they have ice buckets in the room) but we NEVER found the machine. No breakfast either. Otherwise, the beds very comfy.

The Modern Motel is a fun diversion from hotels or other motels. Despite its name it has an old time aesthetic, but, to be sure, the appliances and furniture are new. The location was convenient for getting to the Sunday market and several great restaurants. Everything worked fine, but the shampoo, soaps, and lotions were a little lackluster. No big deal, really. We ended up making use of the nearby lime scooters to get around, too. In the end, I think it’s a great, lower cost option.

Felt desk Closed at 10 so can’t if your traveling from out of town hope you make it by then. Homeless walking around all over the property stuff left in front of our door. Very very terrible experience

The staff are nice and very helpful, and the room and bathroom were clean. The property overall is older and feels older inspite of the renovations. They did a good job with the resources they had, but the overall property and rooms still feel like an older motel (smells, carpet condition in room, gaps around room door, etc).
