NEU! Fernandina Cottage: Deck, direkter Zugang zum Strand

The property was in very poor structural condition when we checked in. We immediately contacted the owner. He said that this house has been in his family for decades and that he has repeat guests every year. The owner was aware of the unit floor sagging a couple of inches to the middle of the floor (like a shallow bowl) and the texture and paint peeling off and hanging from the ceiling in different rooms, the boards missing from the laundry closet wall exposing the inside of the wall(literally the bedroom closet with a stack washer/dryer) no light in the laundry but a hanging battery lantern that didn't work. The cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathroom had multiple layers of very poor paint jobs, rusted hinges and some of the doors did not completely close. The inside of the oven was completely coated in grease and looked as if had never been cleaned or at least not cleaned in years...the owner was aware of this also and said he would get that addressed...?? The only amenity that was true to the pictures was the refrigerator. This is NOT a premier condition property and the photos in the listing were taken professionally by evolve and are NOT a true representation of the present condition. The owner said that he had no control over the pictures posted and just kept with his reply of he was sorry it didn't meet our expectations..We did not stay here and were fortunate enough to find an available hotel nearby that was nice, less expensive and included a hot breakfast.

Wonderful place to stay! Right on the beach and everything is near by. The owner was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay here. The location was perfect and just a short walk to the beach which made everything so easy. It was also a really good setup for bringing dogs which we appreciated.The host was very welcoming and helpful and made everything feel easy from the start. The place could use a little bit of updating but it was clean and comfortable and honestly you cannot beat the price for that location.The laundry is in the master bedroom closet which we did not realize until we were leaving but that was on us.We really enjoyed our time and would definitely come back.
