I really like staying here overall. My one complaint is that for the price I’d at least expect a fitness center with working equipment. I’ve stayed here twice now and the treadmills and bike have not been functional for at least 8 months. Are they even planning to fix these?

The service was ok.Staff could communicate a little better with each other,I will say when I had an issue Jackson was right on it.The hotel is a little ran down can stand some cleanup. There were several areas that were dirty in the hotel and room.There were several pieces of gym equipment that did not work. There’s also a language experience. None of the service maids could speak and understand English

We have stayed there several times, dropping our son off or visiting him at Texas Tech. Hotel is clean and comfortable with a lively bar for a drink at night. Only complaint is the outside patio could use a little cleaning and attention. It’s close to shopping complex and on the safer side of town. It’s our go to hotel when we are in Lubbock.

There was no coffee available downstairs except for the little room coffee makers. Hotel seemed worn and dirty, in general. Back door would not open with key. Treadmills were out of order. Stayed here in past and was pleased, but this time was not great!

I run every morning, so gyms are a must when I book a hotel. This hotel said they had a gym but when I got there, all treadmills were broken. One staff said it was a problem with an adapter and could have it fixed. In the morning, I learned they have been broken for over two years but never replaced. In addition, the back entrance door was broken so no one could get in- had to walk all the way around. Poor management

Check-in took a half hour with no one in line. Just me. I picked this place because they had a decent looking fitness center. All I want it a short run on the treadmill before getting on the road. They have 6 cardio machines. Well, they have 5 large paperweights and a sort of may work when it wants to elliptical. Water in the gym doesn’t work. Their solution is a pass to the gym nearby. I don’t want to deal with the time it takes to go to another location or th liability forms at Trufit. I’ve previously been a pretty loyal Aloft customer due to a minimum expectation of standards. That’s why chains exist, after all. This stay has been enough to destroy that expectation.

One of the reasons we booked here, is because they had an indoor pool. No t sure if the pool heater was broke or if they even had a pool heater. The water was just as cold as it was outside, and there was a freak snow storm with high winds.

Hotel location was ideal. Kids were excited to swim but found out upon check in that there pool was under maintenance for over a month. Very disappointing. Front desk was also very unfriendly. No rooms were available when we came to check in and had to wait over an hour before a room was available.

I stay in Lubbock and just wanted to do stay cation for my son so he could swim and asked her if the pool was open a she said yes payed for the room went to get ready to go swim and that when I see a note on the door that says close for maintenance. So I went and told her that was the whole point of me running it I wouldn't have paid for the room if she would have told me it was close but she said it was open so I wasn't going to stay there if I couldn't swim so need to know how I get my refund or get me a room there when the pool is open?????????

This hotel was not maintained as it should be especially for the price for the rooms. The carpet was stained, tile floor dirty, light switch fell off the wall, and the shower head dripped continuously. The best thing was the location.

The staff was amazing at the front desk and at the bar. The room was definitely not very clean. There was a used bandaid stuck to the bed platform. When I went to retrieve something from the floor between the bed and the wall I noticed how filthy the floor was. We had just spent two nights at an Aloft in Round Rock and loved it so much we thought we would try one in Lubbock. Sadly disappointed at the cleanliness.

This hotel is dirty! Our bedding was dirty and there were a ton of scratches on the doors from animals being locked up. Zero bathroom privacy and the cement look gives prison vibes. Won’t stay at an Aline again after this experience. Pool was gross too!

The hotel cleaniness was very below average compared to othe hotels I have stayed at in the past. All carpet in the hotel was stained and had a smell. This was in common areas and in our room. Our bathroom floor had been mopped with a dirty mop. It seems like the floor was sticky and wasn't swept before it was mopped. Felt like I needed to wear shoes each time i walked to the toilet part of the bathroom. Majority of the lights didn't work in our room. The only lights that worked were the toilet light, light around the bathroom mirror, and one light by our bed. While we were getting things together to check out hosuekeeping knocked on our door and quickly opened it. Thankfully we had our security lock on. She asked if we were chekcing out today which I replied yes and she said she wouod come back later. My husband and I were confused because she should have this information and shouldn't barge into a room like that. The staff was friendly and helpful at the front desk but we will not be back due to cleaniness.

The “brand new” hotel was filthy. Public restrooms were “just cleaned” but there was brown matter smeared on the walls. Our room was dirty crumbs and dead bugs on the floor and what appeared to be boogers and who knows what else on the shower wall.

The hotel halls have big stains on the floor making the appearance of the hotel really dirty. Our room could have been cleaner, my husband found a hair in the shower. The rug in our room had stains on it. There was also a small stain on my pillow. Absolutely loved the Dry Bar shampoo/conditioner and the blow dryer! Made me feel like I had just walked out of a salon! Staff was friendly also! Would stay again if it was a bit cleaner.

Nice location! Friendly and helpful staff. Close to shopping and restaurants. Kinda odd not having an actual wall for the bathroom and no locks on bathroom doors. You can see through small opening from room into the shower area. There are no hooks to hang towels on. Carpets throughout hotel need to be replaced (or at least cleaned). It would be really nice to provide some fresh brewed coffee in the lobby for your guest.

Great hotel in a really good location. Room was clean and very nice. One thing to take note of: Make sure your window shades work! They’re electronic, so they go up and down via a remote. My remote didn’t work so my blinds were wide open. Not an issue at night but it was a huge issue in the early morning when I’m trying to get that extra bit of sleep and the sun is beating down on me. But that’s my only issue.

Hotel is very much a modern look. Exposed duct work and pipes in halls and common areas. We did not like the sliding doors to bathroom and toilet area. Wall not to ceiling for sink/shower area. And showers sprayed all over the bathroom floor as curtain wasn’t long enough and no towel hooks for any towels at all. It was clean and convenient although a bit noisy from other guests.

The room was modern. Was perfect for my trip. The only downside was the AC flooded part of my room, staff brought me towels to clean it up (I cleaned it not them). The cleaning crew didn't refill my coffee, creamer or sweetener and I was without coffee the 2nd day. Overall nice place for the price.

The rooms were small, but bed was comfortable. We had to ask for bath towels and there was no iron or ironing board in the room. The entire hotel seemed a little in need of new paint and carpet.

AC unit was so loud even ear plugs didn’t help. Walls are thin so you hear everyone in the hallway and the doors slam shut. Beds were comfy. Overall it was ok but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Booked a handicap accessible room. Online, it did not say pets allowed in that type of room. When we arrived, we were switched to a nonhandicap room. Pet hair was on the carpet by the bed, and my daughter and I woke up with an allergic reaction. Told the manager in the morning; she was very unphased by it. She said pets are allowed in all the rooms so it should have said that on the handicap accessible rooms as well. Also not a good place to stay for any privacy within the room. We have older kids, and there are large gaps in the wall that joins the bathroom to the bedroom, so you cam actually see in where the shower area is. Anything happening in the bathroom carries into the bedroom, i.e. lights, sounds, smells, steam, etc. Manager said this is their "loft concept". Lastly, they didn't give us a towel for each person in our family, and the shower door did not stay shut, leaking water out on the floor.

There is no privacy from the bathroom to the room. The space is very noisy. The sliding door did not shut to the bathroom. The floor turned our socks brown. Very overpriced for the quality of the room. My friend stayed in a separate room and her window had a huge crack in it. The windows are made of plastic like material.

Hotel was great, has kind of a new age industrial vibe. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great. Fridge was nice to have. Is in same parking lot as outlet stores and a Costco, plenty of places to walk to and eat.

Stay overall was very nice, clean rooms and great service and the overall vibe of the hotel is great. My only complaint is the rooms have clearly been remodeled, and the existing electrical wiring did not seem to match the remodel layout, and rather than attemping to remedy that, that there were confusing switches and plugs to just, go around it? Initially i thought the bathroom light did not work, turns out it was just a switch next to the front door, rather than in the bathroom, and one of the bathroom switches turned on a bedroom light? Very strange, but didnt make the room hard to sleep in or less accessible. Would definitely still be willing to stay here again personally, but im sure that may annoy some others.

Great stay. Enjoyed the pool. Has a bar and the entrance is beautiful and fun. The managers up front jackson and lizzy were so amazing and kind. When we would ask for help they were more than willing to help us. Only concern was when we called front desk late at night we were left on hold for long periods of time. Otherwise good experience

Our trip was a last minute/emergency trip. We managed to make a reservation two days before we required the stay. This was a bereavement situation. One hour before we arrived, I received a call from a giggly girl at the desk of this hotel, telling me they could not honor our reservation. A flimsy reason (maintenance/cleaning? issue) was given. We were told we could stay at The Sleep Inn (one which had horrible reviews) if we wanted. No supervisor at the Aloft was available to speak with. How unprofessional for a, supposedly, upscale place.

Had a minor issue with the ac on the first of two nights at the property, staff was super accommodating and had us moved to a different room the second night without hassle. Two of the attendants working the front desk that I interacted with were phenomenal- very personable and friendly.

All of the staff was very nice/kind. The bartender (Alisha?) was a bit snippy at first, but she then warmed up and was a pleasure to speak to. That said, we were told the hotel was out of several items on the breakfast and dinner menus. This included cheese for the burgers, wings, fries, and waffles. Additionally, the water pressure for the sink in our room (room 432) was exceedingly low. However, the water pressure in the shower was fine.

I liked the area where the hotel is, next to a shopping center and we would walk to get coffee and breakfast. What i didnt like was that it was advertised as having a bar and restaurant... well they had a bar.. sort of and not restaurant.. it was microwave food like kraft mac n cheese in a cup for $5.. so i wasnt real.happy with that.

I specifically liked how inviting the hotel was with its modern and uplifting atmosphere and no kids in sight. Pool table in the lobby next to the bar. Clean rooms. Shopping just a couple of minutes away. Everything we did was only a few minutes from each other. Hotel staff went above and beyond.

It’s too bad hotels don’t have uniforms anymore. The staff looked way too casual and there wasn’t any consistency to their clothes; leggings, sweats, ripped jeans, it was just weird. They seemed annoyed that people dared to approach them at the front desk and check in was weird and long. No breakfast and the coffee was out both mornings! My mother had a cup and threw it out, because it was horrible (and she’s fine with most bad coffees) this coffee tasted like grounds from the trash and lukewarm water. Don’t even think about using the coffee maker in the room, it won’t work. I’m sad to write this. Aloft used to be a cool, fun place to stay, but now it’s way overpriced just to walk on dirty carpets and sloppy service.

Excellent beds and pillows. Separation of bathroom from bedroom is intentionally open but that doesn't translate into functional. Good luck finding the light switch on the lit mirror. Location is convenient.
