Once there (before arrival email requests were answered quite arrogantly) service was friendly and helpful but with limited abilities: not much knowledge about how to get a reasonable ride to cruise port, no adapters and no knowledge of where to buy such... Said that pool was open but all 48h it was padlocked. Had the opportunity to use sister hotel's facilities and happy hour and these were nice (although drinks at first were 80% ice, but once you got aquatinted quality improved) and right on beach. Room was big but veeery tired. Kitchen and dining area but no tools or equipment to prepare food. The noisiest ever a/c I have encountered in my long life, and did not find any way to turn it off. Ice machine produced no ice. No breakfast served even for a fee. Dinner at restaurant was everyday but quite nice. Service friendly and fast but not professional. Starter and main was served simultaneously which is quite inconvenient when you have a cold starter (very good) and a hot main course (ok). For the price you should get much more but in Miami you don't. Comparatively good price and bearable++ standard if you are not looking for anything memorable. Good location!

The location is good just a few minutes from the beach and close to restaurants and nightlife. Pool area was never used by anybody as it was situated in the shadow in the back yard.

Great location, spacious units. One block away from the beach. Currently the swimming pool is not open, but hotel offered access to the pool at neighboring property (Marseilles). Overall, very happy with the stay and will be back again.

Cute and convenient apt right in the middle of everythg. Walked across the street to the beach. They give you ticket for chairs and umbrella. It was perfect. Will def stay again.

The Dorchester is a 'tired' property. However, the rooms (mini efficiencies) are very spacious. Lot of areas to move without feeling crowded like smaller hotel rooms. WARNING; there are no elevators to the wing where most guests are staying. So if you have heavy luggage then prepare to horse the suitcases if you're on the second (top) floor, Beds hard, lots of pillows. The bar and restaurant downstairs makes very good drinks. The restaurant food is farely good. Get there early enough to have their housemade empenadas. Worth it.

Checking in went smooth and fast by Bryan who took care of us at the front desk. Conveniently, parking was just right outside available for 31$ per day which was excellent. The apartment type room is so spacious and decently clean except a couch looked like it needed a deep clean. I did not want to sit on it at all. Bathroom was a tiny space with no outlet to connect a hairdryer but I liked the shower head water pressure. The outside pool was clean and maintained well. The hotel did not offer fitness gym but we were able to use Sister hotel’s facilities including pool and beach access which was approximately 3 minutes walking distance. The hotel location was perfect. You can find many restaurants, bars and shops near by. Traffic noises were not the issue which I was a bit surprised but noise from right next door; TV, guests voices were interrupted our sleep through out the night. It was great Check out was 11am because I was able to take a nap to catch up some sleep after breakfast. Overall, perfect location and lower price compared with other nearby hotels. They offer what you need to stay comfortably.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. From the moment I walked in and was helped, it was fantastic. I had requested a quieter room on the top floor, they took note of that and were able to accommodate. They put me in a room upstairs, on the back side of the property. The room itself was huge! You can tell these were likely apartments at one point. I would say it’s about 800+ square feet. Beyond the roomy front room, there was a nice kitchen, large bedroom and great AC. The location was right in the thick of it. Beyond the nice Cuban restaurant on-site, there were several other restaurants ranging from Americana to Mexican and more. There were also a few European-stem bakeries, and a CVS just a few blocks away. Overall this was a fantastic stay, and well worth the money compared to other nearby hotels and BNBs.

We arrived early directly off our cruise and we were able to store our luggage and change and enjoy the beach for a few hours until our room was ready. The room was clean and very spacious any comfortable for our 2 day stay.We would definitely stay again. Location was close to many restaurants and shopping and only a five minutes walk to the beach.

I liked that they did their best to accommodate us in regards to early check-in and would also hold our luggages just in case the room wasn’t ready. I love that the place was really clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location on South Beach ⛱️. Nice people. Hotel and the apartments have a old smell to them which is hard to ignore. Apartment was spacious and had more than we needed. Kitchen, living room, family room and master bedroom. The bed was definitely old. TV sucked. Only a few analog channels. We were charged an additional 35$ for resort fees for access to beach across the street. Supposed to get complementary chairs e lumbrellas.We heading there now. Overall the price was fair especially for this time of year and perfect of you're on a budget. Thanks

Front desk staff is always great here, this time even better, just smiles, friendliness, and professional demeanor. He did it all, and with speed and politeness. I wish the cleaning staff would not fill the air or maybe the carpet with deodorizer, it is hard to breathe, all you want to do is open the windows, it takes so long to get used to or rid of that smell. it should not be confused with being clean. in fact it feels like they are masking bad smells that come with not being clean.

I was impressed with the room. It was a small apartment with a small kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom. Loved that it also had a small sitting area out front. The staff was also very helpful. We arrived early and they held our luggage and gave us directions to local shopping and food locations. It was pouring rain and they supplied us with panchos which were perfect. We only stayed 1 night because we were going on a cruise the following day but will definitely be back for longer.

Location is terrific, rooms are HUGE. Some minor maintenance issues (patio door wouldn't lock, tub drain was broken), but really little stuff. TVs are old and seemingly 720p. Other than that, no complaints at all. Room was clean and serviced daily (which isn't the rule these days). Being set back a bit from Collins Ave is a plus, and the block itself is pretty quiet.
Location is terrific, rooms are HUGE. Some minor maintenance issues (patio door wouldn't lock, tub drain was broken), but really little stuff. TVs are old and seemingly 720p. I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. From the moment I walked in and was helped, it was fantastic. I had requested a quieter room on the top floor, they took note of that and were able to accommodate. They put me in a room upstairs, on the back side of the property. The room itself was huge! You can tell these were likely apartments at one point. I would say it’s about 800+ square feet. Beyond the roomy front room, there was a nice kitchen, large bedroom and great AC. The location was right in the thick of it. Beyond the nice Cuban restaurant on-site, there were several other restaurants ranging from Americana to Mexican and more. There were also a few European-stem bakeries, and a CVS just a few blocks away. Overall this was a fantastic stay, and well worth the money compared to other nearby hotels and BNBs.

I went to South Beach on a wim and found this inexpensive older hotel but I was presently surprised. I booked a suite and yes its older but the room was huge, nice decor and clean. Great amenities and allowed early check in. I would honestly book again.

I liked that they did their best to accommodate us in regards to early check-in and would also hold our luggages just in case the room wasn’t ready. I love that the place was really clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

I was impressed with the room. It was a small apartment with a small kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom. Loved that it also had a small sitting area out front. The staff was also very helpful. We arrived early and they held our luggage and gave us directions to local shopping and food locations. It was pouring rain and they supplied us with panchos which were perfect. We only stayed 1 night because we were going on a cruise the following day but will definitely be back for longer.

Great location, but poor service. The late check out option was poor, no matter thanksgiving day was quiet and the hotel almost empty. We forgot our staff and medication in the fridge, 11:15am half an hour after we left tried to get it back, front desk said it’s too late, it’s gone. The rest rooms in the hotel were out of use, after we checked out, they advised us to go to the other hotel300m, to use the rest rooms. The housekeeping was coming late afternoon, very environmentally unfriendly

Checking in went smooth and fast by Bryan who took care of us at the front desk. Conveniently, parking was just right outside available for 31$ per day which was excellent. The apartment type room is so spacious and decently clean except a couch looked like it needed a deep clean. I did not want to sit on it at all. Front desk staff is always great here, this time even better, just smiles, friendliness, and professional demeanor. He did it all, and with speed and politeness. I wish the cleaning staff would not fill the air or maybe the carpet with deodorizer, it is hard to breathe, all you want to do is open the windows, it takes so long to get used to or rid of that smell. it should not be confused with being clean. in fact it feels like they are masking bad smells that come with not being clean.

The location is good just a few minutes from the beach and close to restaurants and nightlife. Pool area was never used by anybody as it was situated in the shadow in the back yard.

We booked this hotel just to see the nightlife before we go to the resort and I regret not having my whole trip here. Amazing location, very clean and big rooms, super comfy, close to ALOT of stuff. And very reasonable prices. Definitely coming back.

The hotel was a great option while visiting Miami Art Week. It was within walking distance of the convention center and close to the other fairs, as well as the expressway for getting into the city.

Location is terrific, rooms are HUGE. Some minor maintenance issues (patio door wouldn't lock, tub drain was broken), but really little stuff. TVs are old and seemingly 720p. Other than that, no complaints at all. Room was clean and serviced daily (which isn't the rule these days). Being set back a bit from Collins Ave is a plus, and the block itself is pretty quiet.

Hotel was in the perfect location - close to beach, restaurants, & shopping. The restaurant had awesome Cuban food and our server was excellent - ate there two nights. All staff were friendly and had a great atmosphere.

Once there (before arrival email requests were answered quite arrogantly) service was friendly and helpful but with limited abilities: not much knowledge about how to get a reasonable ride to cruise port, no adapters and no knowledge of where to buy such... Said that pool was open but all 48h it was padlocked. Had the opportunity to use sister hotel's facilities and happy hour and these were nice (although drinks at first were 80% ice, but once you got aquatinted quality improved) and right on beach. Room was big but veeery tired. Kitchen and dining area but no tools or equipment to prepare food. The noisiest ever a/c I have encountered in my long life, and did not find any way to turn it off. Ice machine produced no ice. No breakfast served even for a fee. Dinner at restaurant was everyday but quite nice. Service friendly and fast but not professional. Starter and main was served simultaneously which is quite inconvenient when you have a cold starter (very good) and a hot main course (ok). For the price you should get much more but in Miami you don't. Comparatively good price and bearable++ standard if you are not looking for anything memorable. Good location!

The Dorchester is a 'tired' property. However, the rooms (mini efficiencies) are very spacious. Lot of areas to move without feeling crowded like smaller hotel rooms. WARNING; there are no elevators to the wing where most guests are staying. So if you have heavy luggage then prepare to horse the suitcases if you're on the second (top) floor, Beds hard, lots of pillows. The bar and restaurant downstairs makes very good drinks. The restaurant food is farely good. Get there early enough to have their housemade empenadas. Worth it.

The room was very clean, but the premises could use some sprucing up. Because of the weather I didn't get to explore the area but it is a very nice neighborhood and very close to the Convention Center. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially Sebastian and Bruno - getting articles I had left behind located and shipped to me. I was delighted with their responsiveness and follow through.

Ein sehr sauberes Zimmer, schönes Bad. Hotel ruhig trotz Zimmer zur Hauptstraße, vergleichsweise großer Pool (für South Beach), kleines cubanisches Restaurant. Für die Hotelklasse ein gutes Hotel. Lediglich am Pool ein kleines Stechmücken Problem, hoffe das war nur temporär.

I have stayed few times in this hotel before and I always had good staying there.This time I had a bad experience with the cleaning of my room. In the second day I asked if they can clean my room they explained that they will clean my room in the third day of my staying. In the third day after a long day traveling from Miami to Key West when I arrived to the room; was not clean again. I went to the desk and I asked if they can clean my room they said they did not have any one to clean; I asked for a sheet and pillow cases and they provided and I changed my self. Fourth day I went to the ocean and it started raining and I went back to the hotel around 2:00pm and the room was not clean again. I headed to the from desk and beg them to clean my room, I waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for the staff to clean the room. Staying for 5 night and they just clean my room the last night and only because I begged. That was a awful experience. I ask to speak with a manager and never happened.
