Lovely apartment, clean and spacious with incredible views. Comfy beds. Loads of room for our family of 6. Convenient food on the ground floor and liked the location. Downside was the noise from the property next door with their loud PA system which at times made it impossible to sit on the balcony or even enjoy being inside (19th floor). I feel they could be asked to turn this down at times. Also the pool was too shallow.

Lovely clean accommodation close to tram stop, beaches, shops and restaurants. The only negative is waiting for a lift around the busy checkout time. After waiting 25 minutes the only way out was taking the lift up and then going to ground level. Only two of the three lifts were operating at the time.

a Great stay at Ruby Hotel. clean and modern with everything you need. heated pool was a bonus. it was a shame that the steam room and sauna was out of order for our stay. easy to get to and walkable to the centre of surfers paradise but far enough way to be quite at night. will stay again for sure

Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the Gold Coast. Such a clean and spacious apartment and had everything we needed. The view was amazing also, the kids loved the pool and splash area.

We had a lovely time at Ruby Gold Coast. The rooms were soundproof, they were clean and the pool area was nice. The breakfast options were limited, but it’s just a short walk to find somewhere else to eat.

This was my fourth stay at the Ruby. The room was not as decribed in the images. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the front door required maintainance to open close safely. It's a good locatiom and walkable to Surfers Paradise centre. My daughter likes the pool. The other facilities are unexceptional

Interesting view of Surfers from the balcony. It is a great place to dry washing on the provided racks. The rooms were certainly clean. The single beds were incredibly narrow. There three lifts worked well and the delay for a lift was minimal. The area is safe and easily walkable to Surfers Paradise mall and the beach. The car park is safe but drivers needs to exit their vehicles to tap their fob on the gate button. There is apparently a cafe but no staff mentioned it or recommended it. Guess nothing happens there. The three large mental dustbins on wheels at the hotel entrance rather spoil the ambience. The smell was bad the day we left. Bring your muscles to open apartment doors - very heavy. Overall our 5 night stay was pleasant and convenient -= especially the well equiped apartment kitchen. Definitely worth a visit and we would consider Ruby for staying there again. One small point. While the Reception staff were polite and helpful, english was obviously a second language and there were some minor communication misunderstandings.

The decor was lovely as was the view and location. However the apartment needs a proper clean. The mould in the showers was offputting as were the black scuff marks and dings on the walls, mould in the washing machine, dirty sliding balcony doors and dust in various places. The metal gas hobs were grubby too (however would come up nicely with a soak, some Bar Keeper's Friend and a scrub with some steel wool). We did enjoy our stay despite this and feel like a deep clean and some touchups with some paint would make a world of difference.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness. The wardrobe had not been cleaned out as the previous tenant had left false fingernail and hair slide in cupboard. Also the couch was not clean, when we removed rubbish bag from bin under kitchen sink it was filthy and smelly. Also the shower grate was blocked with years of matted hair which my husband to remove to allow the water to drain. Having said this it was a great location with a very friendly and helpful receptionist. We would stay again but would like to think the cleaning could be improved.

Our apartment had very nice ocean view. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. It is walking distance to central surfs paradise. But the condition of the rooms was not great. Many dirty marks on the walls and we also found a hole on the wall in one of the bedrooms. Rooms are not cleaned properly. We found rubbish and dirty towel left by previous guests.

The staff on the front desk were lovely. The first room we were given was disgusting. The shower wasn’t clean, there was hairs and toenail clippings on the floor, the bedside tables had spills on them, the kitchen surfaces was dirty and there was hairs in the bed. We were given a second room that had been “checked by the manager” but honestly this was only marginally better. As it was during the school holidays, there were limited options available so we ended up buying cleaning supplies and doing it ourself. We were given complementary sparkling wine and chocolates as an apology. The location is lovely, and if clean the apartments are well set out and relatively modern.

Unit was very dusty. Marks all over walls. Bathroom was absolutely filthy, dirty toilet paper in the toilet, pubic hair and feaces on the top of toilet bowl and under seat, shower screen covered in old soap scum. Shower floor was black with filth. Hadn’t been cleaned for months. I do have photos of the filth.

Great location, close to beach and tram. Overall apartment aesthetics were great but the cleanliness was sub par. The floor wasn’t vacuumed or mopped properly to the point it left our feet black after being in the room for less than an hour walking on the floor bare foot. We had to get them to come and clean the floors again.

The apartments are tired. They also need a good spring clean and freshen up with paint. Bathrooms were fairly new and clean, bed also. No mattress protector on bed just sheet - mattress won’t last long. Bedsides and coffee tables, kitchen table had coffee / drink marks and had not been cleaned. Dirty tissue on wardrobe and clump of hair, the wardrobe slide was filthy. Windows very dirty, ruined the view and they are easily accessible to clean. Lifts reliable but dirty. Outside area really badly maintained, dirty and no one used it, pool area average, leaves around. Basic cleaning is done but no attention to detail. Many poor reviews and I dint think they are working to fix it, never saw anyone around cleaning. Reception basic, staff pleasant but unprofessional dress and reception did not look professional. Just making money, it’s not cheap to say here and I would rate it 3 star Location and parking great.

The whole place needs a thorough clean the carpet was dirty in the room we stayed. I don’t think the showers had been cleaned before we came as well. As for the washing machine the rims I don’t think it ever been cleaned. The windows were dirty and it’s also a very noisy spot as we’ve got a children’s park with carousels and the outside. Very disappointing will not return. The Restaurant and the bar weren’t open and I honestly don’t think they have enough people to service the hotel or they are not being supervised sufficiently. Even the foyer and the lifts were dirty.

It is dirtier than a backpackers hostel. I found peoples fingernails and toenails on the carpet (the carpet in general looked like it has never been vaccumed) there was mold in the washine machine and all over the shower, and the pool looked so uncleaned. Location was great. Room was clean. Shower and sink in ensuite in room 1704 would not drain properly. Two minute shower only or bathroom would flood. Singles beds are not suitable for an adult they are about 80 cm wide.

We stayed in a 3-bed ocean view apartment for 6 nights. We were in room 2606 on the 26th floor. The huge balcony and the views were amazing from this room. We were left a welcome Easter egg, bottle of wine and snacks which was a nice touch. All the rooms were clean and tidy. We had no trouble getting clean towels and other things from Reception when needed. Very helpful blonde lady on duty. Useful to have a washing machine in apartment. The ensuite double bedroom was lovely with walk-in shower, lots of wardrobe space, free safe. The single beds in the other 2 bedrooms were very comfortable although very narrow, which was fine in the 2nd bedroom as pushed them together, but in the 3rd bedroom it did feel like you were laid on a narrow “treatment” bed for a massage or similar! Shame it wasn't a larger single or small double in the 3rd bedroom as there was easily enough room for it. I realise its probably sold as a “child's room” but my 23year old daughter stayed in it and wasn’t keen on the room. It wasn’t homely at all and there was a big dent in the wall where someone had knocked it. That was our only negative out of the whole apartment- just the 3rd bedroom didn’t feel welcoming for an adult. The only suggestion I have would be a better way to recycle plastics in these eco-friendly times. Something on each floor rather than having to take recycling to basement, which is a long way if you’re on 26th floor! The Ruby is close to beach and shops. Nice pool. Great free parking.

The atmosphere in the lobby is nice. I felt comfortable and relaxed walking in and out of the hotel. The staff on reception were approachable and lovely. The view was spectacular, we had ocean and city view. The apartment itself was okay. It was not sound proof as stated. We heard loud banging from the apartment below us and noises coming from the apartments next to ours. Overall we were pretty happy with the location and the view we had. Free and secure parking was plus as well.

Really enjoyed our stay at Ruby Gold Coast. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful with all our enquiries. Room on the 22nd floor gave us magnificent views of Surfers Paradise, both north and east. So close to light rail, so left the car at home. Walking distance to small grocery stores, and a pleasant 10 min walk to heart of Surfers. Room had everything we needed, clean, quiet and very spacious. For our visit to the Pacific Airshow, we could not have stayed at better accommondation.

Booked a one bed apartment with a queen bed, but was checked in to a room with two tiny single beds; the slimmest beds I've ever seen. When I went to Reception to ask about getting put into the correct room, I was asked to spend the first night of a 2 night stay in the single room as no other room was clean! I showed a photo of the 2 single beds and advised that there is no way that I could fit in one of those beds,and was then told I was being 'upgraded' to the room I booked in the first place! Not a great first impression of this property.

So overall average in my opinion & room for improvement. 1) check in process when reception is closed arriving after hours could be refined. Security guard luckily was there to assist. 2) room tidy but showing signs of wear, walls marked beyond what would be ‘normal’. -Bed was comfortable however try to request rooms on the south. If you happen to get a room next door to “Paradiso” be warned it’s loud & music/PAs are being played during day hours. So if you’re trying to have a nanna nap/kip in afternoon, forget it! -air conditioner was very loud sounding like an aircraft jet engine. Raised this concern & maintenance person looked at it briefly. Just ended up getting used to it. -location a few blocks away from amenities so it was fine. Again my opinion only & not trying to difficult. Just some improvement required

Arrived earlier than expected and asked if we could leave our bags with them until room was ready. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist. Our stay was horrible room was dirty ammenties wer very poor not enough cooking utensils very run down apartment tv in main lounge didn’t work properly ie couldn’t connect to hotel wifi tv in main room didnt work at all stains and marks all throughout the couch dining chairs, worse thing of all was when we told the staff on the day we checked in he basically said that he couldn’t do anything and he didn’t have any maintenance person there at that time and this was on a Friday at 4pm and also advised he was the only one working at that time won’t be back I also told the lady at reception when I checked all of the thing above and all she said was I’m sorry

A short walk to central Surfers Paradise. Plenty of street parking for our visitors and free parking for guests. Clean, well presented, nice staff, excellent price. Photos represented apartment well. There was a construction site nearby which did not trouble us with noise. The lobby looks like it used yo have a bar and dining but doesnt seem to be operating at the moment. Lifts were all operational and quick. Little balcony was great and could see the ocean. For the price, excellent value.

We enjoyed our stay at Ruby, loved how close it was to catching the bus or trams. Wasn’t far of a walk to surfers paradise or the beach. The pool was nice but which there was a hot tub especially would’ve been nice having that at night. The room we had was nice but could’ve been cleaner when on arrival. We had house keeping twice and on the second time a pair of shorts went missing so declined having house keeping again as that made us uncomfortable. The apartment wasn’t too big and hadn’t worn those shorts yet so knew they were in the apartment before we left for the day and then after when we came back mysteriously weren’t there after house keeping had been done. Told found desk about it but nothing was really done other then an “sorry were not sure” Other than that it was a nice stay.

There is no room service. There is no mini bar in the apartment. Serviced weekly. The cafe/bar is permanently closed. The is a coffee kiosk at reception. We loved the views from the 20th floor. Nice comfortable beds. Air-conditioning was effective. Spacious and modern. The pool is on the small side for a building with so many gusets.The tram stop is just around the corner. 15 minute walk to restaurants on Cavill Ave.

Advertising an on-site dining and cocktail bar, but after our arrival and speaking with staff the next day we were told that the dining and bar areas had been closed for the past five months. If we had been aware of this at time of booking we would have chosen another property to stay at.

The whole place needs a thorough clean the carpet was dirty in the room we stayed. I don’t think the showers had been cleaned before we came as well. As for the washing machine the rims I don’t think it ever been cleaned. The windows were dirty and it’s also a very noisy spot as we’ve got a children’s park with carousels and the outside. Very disappointing will not return. The Restaurant and the bar weren’t open and I honestly don’t think they have enough people to service the hotel or they are not being supervised sufficiently. Even the foyer and the lifts were dirty.

The location is good and close to many stores. It’s also close to G link train station. The room is also great (25 floors with ocean view ) and reception is well prepared before check in. You could also see the whales through Binoculars in the living room during the sunny day.

아파트먼트형 숙소라서인지 엄청 깨끗한 컨디션은 아니었어요. 약간 외국인 친구집에 잠깐 놀러온 듯한 컨디션? 아무튼 너무 더럽지는 않았으나 곳곳에 먼지가 쌓여 있는 정도로 호텔 수준의 청결함은 아니었다고 봅니다. 단, 위치가 해변에 닿기에 너무나 완벽했고 장관인 일출을 볼 수 있는 지리적 조건이 완벽했습니다. 다음에 골드코스트에 다시 방문한다면 동일한 가격에 더 좋은 조건의 숙소가 없는 이상 재방문 할 것 같네요. 감사했습니다.

Loved the room and the view. However, the very loud noises ( ie music and children screaming from Paradise Resort next door as well as construction noise) could be easily heard on level 16!! Also the Chromecast on the tv didn’t work.
