Definitely a cute older inn. Staff is super friendly. It was a little awkward trying to find the front desk as it is a part of their indoor dining area, and at first we weren’t sure if we were in the right spot because there’s nothing to show where it is, but it’s beautiful inside! The owner is such a sweet lady. Rooms are very clean. Can’t speak on restaurant as we ate somewhere else down the street. Would definitely stay here again! Close to everything. Parking behind building, but also on the street as well right across from it.

Staff were awesome however room was the smallest I had ever rented. Room enough for a bed and a washroom. No closet and no space for suit cases. The parking lot walkway and stairs were no cleared of snow upon arrival, evening and following morning. TV would not work and it was the smallest TV you can buy. The bathroom was a pedestal sink with no counter for toiletries. The water from the shower smelt like bleach. Difficult to control the heat. No blackout curtain and the outside lights were very bright. The curtain on the window would not close fully either. Sorry to provide so many negatives however no value for money at this place. Very disappointed as the pics on the website are very deceiving.

It was a little confusing finding the entrance to the inn from the parking lot but the inn is charming, the young man at the front desk was amiable and the complimentsry porseco at check in was really nice.

The property was nice and had good shower pressure, as well as a mat on the floor to prevent slipping. The bed was comfy the pillows were good. The problem was that the toilet in my room was dirty when I checked in.

The staff were very nice especially in the restaurant and the food was good. The room was not as expected for the expense. The bathroom only had a door in the opening with no wall on top, by design, I guess. The toilet seat was loose. The makeup mirror was loose and would not stay vertical to be useful. The window sills need cleaning of black mildew. We thought it was going to be a quaint stay at a boutique hotel, but it has lost it’s charm. We had to go outside to get to our room.

This beautiful boutique hotel in beautiful downtown Fergus is a rare gem. It's located on an old stone house, with all the character associated with one, high ceilings, stunning woodwork, original stone walls in bedrooms. We were greeted with a welcome Prosecco and shown to our room. It was extremely clean and well stocked with amenities. We ate in the Ferguson Pub and fish & chips and Reuben sandwich were excellent. Breakfast is included and you chose what you want at check-in and we ate outside in the lovely conservatory. Parking right beside the hotel. I would highly recommend and the staff were all so pleasant and friendly.

I had no complaints--staff were friendly and efficient; the room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the complimentary glass of Prosecco upon arrival was an added special touch. Dinner in the Ferguson Room was also very good. Would definitely return.

The rooms were very tired and need refresh. Dirty rugs on the wood floor so very easy to slip. The bathroom was hideous. It was located 4 steps down. Not appropriate for any older person. My husband had trouble to get down steps. No counter space in bathroom to put your toothbrush even. Just a pedestal sink that was broken. No door at bathroom just a disgusting curtain. The tv lacked any channels to watch. Very dated decor. The room was located in a building which I assume was a house at one point. It was beside the main inn. The outside looked lovely and gardens but the interior was musty and old. Didn’t feel safe with a key system Anybody could open that door with the simple lock that was there. No safe in the room. The worst was that there was no ac just a room fan. And heating was an electric fireplace unit in corner. Would not recommend this inn. We had no choice as we were attending wedding and needed lodging. For the price I would preferred a modern chain with amenities.

The staff was lovely. The food was excellent. The property was beautiful and full of character and charm. My only complaint was that our room had a lot of light coming in from around the door and the drapes not being able to shut all the way. It also let in a lot of sound when other patrons were hanging out outside of our room or window.

Beautiful place to stay. Stellar food in the restaurant. One complaint: bed in the Master Suite is very uncomfortable and creaks with every breath. Didn’t sleep all night? Maybe time to update the bed. Otherwise highly recommend!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Inn. From check-in to check-out it was an absolutely lovely stay. Our room, The Cardinal Suite, was so charming with two chairs right by a trio of windows overlooking the street. The bed was comfortable the tub and shower were amazing, and the fireplace in the suite was so nice. We enjoyed breakfast in the solarium both mornings, and enjoyed them both. The pancakes were so light and fluffy and the yogurt parfait was equally as good. The service was amazing, from check-in, the dinner in the pub to the breakfasts. All staff were wonderfully friendly! We thank them for being a big part of making our time there so enjoyable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Breadalbane Inn and truly hope that we make it back again for another stay!

This was my second time staying at the Breadalbane Inn and it was great. Champagne was given at check in and each interaction with staff was warm and friendly. The Inn was close to everything we wanted to see and parking was easy. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately our anniversary night out was ruined. We waited for over 2 hours for food from the pub. It was not busy! The fire alarm battery beeper went off at 3:30am and continued to beep for almost 2 hours. Despite reaching out to the staff, nothing was done about it. Then, the breakfast that was included, was unable to be served so we had to go out for breakfast at our own cost. Overall, a very poor experience for the price point.

The customer service was top-notch from check-in to check out! We made dinner reservations, and the food was delicious! We had Caesar salad and schnitzel! Wow! Wow! Wow! Caitlyn, Our waitress was fantastic!

They do not have enough staff. No one answered our phone calls in the weeks before we arrived after we booked.The breakfast staff was helpful and pleasant though. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable, but the rugs were bare, worn, and a bit unsafe where they had permanent roles in them from overuse.The bathroom did not have adequate space for toiletries and the towels were thin and seemed old. Steps leading down to the bathroom from the main level had a shakey banister. The heating system worked, but was convoluted, with the thermostat hidden from view by the tv screen. It was described as a luxury room and maybe one day it was, but presently it just seemed old. It was not luxury level at all. We did not bring our passwords for tv and could only get into You Tube, not even local stations. We would never go back and never recommend it until renovations occurred.

The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable, but the rugs were bare, worn, and a bit unsafe where they had permanent roles in them from overuse.The bathroom did not have adequate space for toiletries and the towels were thin and seemed old. Steps leading down to the bathroom from the main level had a shakey banister. The heating system worked, but was convoluted, with the thermostat hidden from view by the tv screen. It was described as a luxury room and maybe one day it was, but presently it just seemed old. It was not luxury level at all. We did not bring our passwords for tv and could only get into You Tube, not even local stations. We would never go back and never recommend it until renovations occurred.

I had no complaints--staff were friendly and efficient; the room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the complimentary glass of Prosecco upon arrival was an added special touch. Dinner in the Ferguson Room was also very good. Would definitely return.

Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Offered a complimentary glass of wine/prosecco upon arrival. Free self parking was great. Property was quaint but tired. The toiletries, while a nice touch, had dust on them. The pub closed at 9pm which was a bit disappointing, not only for myself but the others coming in off the street for food/drinks. Free continental breakfast is a nice touch although my panini was a little well done. All in all, it was good for one night but I wouldn't recommend a stay any longer than that.

The inn was a lovely place to stay. Nestled within walking distance from the historic Fergus downtown, we found ourselves stepping back to a simpler place in time. The staff was welcoming and very accommodating, from offering a glass of wine at check in to serving delicious breakfast in the garden.

We were attending a wedding in Elora on Saturday evening. The Elora Mill was booked up and too costly. Local motels looked a bit shabby. The Breadalbane Inn was recommended by a friend who had stayed there before. We stayed in the Cardinal Room, which was spacious and very comfortable. Had a great dinner on Friday night and breakfast was included each morning. The Inn is located on the main drag in Fergus, convenient for the local shopping.

Very nice option for a getaway from Toronto. Very nice room and breakfast. Fergus is a great little town. And it's also a good gateway to visit Elora, which is 20 mins down the road.

We had a wonderful stay. The Inn is charming, our room was large, very clean, well appointed, comfortable and had a fireplace. We started our stay with lunch in the pub (they also have a dinning room). The lunch was great and we returned the next day. We were greeted by Perri who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The Inn is at the end of town and within a five minute walk to the Town Center. We will definetly return.

Enjoyable stay in the "Cardinal" suite. Clean, with comfortable bed, nice linens, lovely period decor. Keurig coffee, nice toiletries,fluffy towels. Breakfast included was delicious, great patio, bar and small restaurant are fun as well. Staff are lovely!

Enjoyed our stay overall. Accommodation was lovely and staff were attentive and friendly. Only unsatisfactory aspect of our stay was the food both in the bar for an evening meal and at breakfast. Bar food was of poor quality and poorly presented. Breakfast was better though didn’t seem freshly prepared and took far too long to serve.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding at Elora Mill. We began the weekend with lunch at the pub at Breadalbain. Service was welcoming, warm and friendly food was the best. Delicious and we topped it off with local brews. Room was comfy and a little snug. Great stay. Great breakfast was included. We’ll run operation !

My background is patron liability in large amusement parks so I am always looking for potential hazards, The tub is very deep and very slippery. I would recommend a grab bar on the side wall and one on the end wall to make it easier and safer to exit the tub. A soap and shampoo holder on the tub wall would also be helpful. Thanks for a great stay. You have a nice facility.

The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very disappointed in our room. It was very small and old and tired. The bathroom had nothing to put your clothes on nor your toiletries. On a positive note, the linens were clean and nice puffy pillows. I felt the cost of the room was way too high for what you got. Housekeeping was not stellar. The bed was made and new towels provided, however, the water was not replenished for the second day nor was the coffee and cream. The used coffee cups were not replaced or even washed. We found a pretzel in the chair from a previous guest. The empty beer bottles and case were taken. Since we were staying 2 nights, I feel the empties should have been left alone and if we chose to leave them when we checked out the next day, they were theirs for the taking.
