Great stay. Very cute hotel with a small pool and a little cozy bar. Would definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed here at The Meridian for our four days and three nights trip. I’m going to sum up my review with bullet points. -Complimentary bikes for two hours (first come first serve) -Excellent customer service (Luis was wonderful) -When we called about towels, the request was granted quickly. -Complimentary beach towels -Complimentary yoga -Guest have access to two beach chairs on the beach on 5th street. We added an umbrella and ended up staying on the beach for almost 4 hours. -Quiet location and clean room -Minutes walk from the beach -MiniBar on property. Quiet, intimate, and wonderful staff. -Music in the lobby was always on point. I caught myself singing to the tunes. -Easy drop off and pick up with Lyft/Uber -20 minutes from MIA -Great location with many food sports around that was easy to walk to. -Easy check in and out right on your phone. -Wonderful staff overall -Croissants in the lobby were delicious -Fresh cold water daily at little snack bar -You can tell it was a newly remodeled -Keyless entry. We loved the digital lock for our room -Guest were pretty chill (variety of ages) ***Every morning, we received a text message asking us about our stay and informing us of Al of the complimentary things they had available for us. Cons: No microwave

NO PARKING!!!!

Front desk customer service was great! Luis was very friendly and accommodating for us. Answered all our questions. All the employees were nice. Pool is very very small and only 4 or 5 lounge chairs. No gym. Elevator was out for 2 days which was inconvenient out of our 4 day stay. Also room seemed very bare and empty not much in it.

The pool was closed because the water pump was down, so we couldn't use it.

In all honesty I didn’t feel the Meridian Hotel met our standards. It was nice enough but felt a bit misled by the photos when we visited. We had to request a fridge in our room and the elevator was broken whilst we were there so had to manually move our suitcases about. Staff were friendly though and they helped us with our luggage. You can only get water downstairs at the bar. The overall experience didn’t feel like a four star experience but the location was good.

Luis and staff were very nice, we had great check in experience. I am not pleased: the constant text on the check out date, not enough chairs by the pool, pool is too small and not enough lighting in the room. Also, $48 to valet park and $45 resort fee.

At first I thought it was a hotel and I’ll be able to go any time and check in and get the parking access but nope. If you don’t arrive 9-5 you better read your emails. You code is emailed to you and you had to let them know about parking a few days before arriving so pass can be in your room. The parking garage is at the cvs 2 blocks away(wasn’t a bad walk or inconvenience). I missed the first day

The corridors smelled musty. The room was fine but I found a used kleeenex between the sheets. Parking cost $47 and was valet. We had to wait 45 minutes to get our car in the morning. Checkin (precheck through the phone) was a major hassle and the woman at the desk was not particularly helpful. I had to call a number to get help checking in the second room. I will not go back there

Thanks to Meridian Hotel for a comfortable, high-quality stay. It's always clean, friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, nice pool area, great bar and wonderful music. A calm relaxing vibe. It perfectly complemented our vacation with pleasant memories.

Checked into the room at 7pm and found the bedding wet! Had to text their virtual front desk to inform them as this property doesn’t have any onsite staff. We were sent a code to a storage room where bedding was supposed to be - but nothing in there but towels. We stripped the bed and now noticed that the bed was wet from the sheets and the room smelt musky. Texted them again and requested a new room but were told they didn’t have any available. They offered no further solution. It’s clear that the cleaning staff put wet sheets on the bed. With nobody returning our calls and only communicating through text we had no other option but to leave this hotel and go to a different one across the street. Mistakes happen but it is how this hotel is handling the aftermath that should scare you away. The employee named Niccolo was rude and intimidating and would only agree to refund our stay if we didn’t write a bad review. I told him my refund should not be contingent on my review. They refused to refund our stay. I contacted Hotels.com and was told that Hotels.com would not be able to refund our stay because the hotel would not approve it. BE WARNED - Hotels.com will not stand behind its customers. My booking was through Hotels.com not The Meridian Hotel and in my opinion the responsibility of any refund should ultimately be with Hotels.com This is not the way to handle a situation. I will never recommend this hotel and i'm not sure if i would recommend Hotels.com

The staff was awesome!! The bartenders at the onsite bar were fabulous! The only downside was the room. While it eas extremely spacious even with a king bed it was all white NO decor. Made you feel as though you were in a hospital room. The floors are laminate not carpet and while all appeared clean our socks/feet were black after walking on it. It does look like they are trying to upgrade gradually. The location is GREAT for South Beach. Everything we needed was within walking distance.

There was hair on the floor of our bedroom..... dust everywhere, door of the shower was dirty, wall in the elevator were never cleaned..... and the pool condition was disgusting....only a few chairs around it and two were broken.....

The night that I checked in, I was shocked to find roaches on my bed/under my pillow. I wasn’t able to switch into a new room until around 2am and I found it hard to sleep for the duration of my trip due to the paranoia. My room key also stopped working randomly which led me to being locked out of my room minutes before an important zoom call. Staff were friendly and apologetic but it was quite disappointing

The rooms were very dirty with broken bed, bathroom walls were not clean, the body soap was filled with water and no soap.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The pool area was relaxing, and I appreciated how quiet the environment was throughout my visit. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived after 5PM, but we didn’t complain. We went out to allow staff time to finish cleaning. The TV didn’t work, but we were able to watch the game on our laptop. The listing says tea and electric kettle. We didn’t have one so we asked but no one fulfilled the request. Small shower head so low water pressure. $126 resort fee, but no amenities or cleaning service. Our bath mat got wet after 3 days of 2 people showering, but they wouldn’t bring a fresh one without a $75 housekeeping fee. Good location though.

The room was pretty dusty and had an ant infestation in the bathroom near the sink. There was also a leak that caused all of our towels and wash clothes to be soiled and when we asked for more wash clothes there weren't any more available. When we complained about the ants someone at concierge told us it was natural if we've been eating food in the room but the ants were in the room when we arrived. This was my first and hopefully last time staying at a boutique hotel in south beach due to these issues.

They required too much information prior to check in and they made it seem like if you didn't do it they wouldn't allow you in. Part of it was sending copies of our drivers license. You could never actually speak to a real person, they would just text you - it just was not a user friendly system. Then, the room smelled so musty and thank heavens we were only there one night because the bathroom was so nasty that we didn't even take a shower, we waited until we got on the ship the next morning. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I would not recommend.

Property is filthy and in disrepair. Smelled horribly of mildew. Hallway carpets are disgusting, dirty and stained. Floor in room was sticky, had to keep shoes on. I stayed here a few years ago and it was perfectly serviceable for what it is. I should have believed the more recent reviews. The halls and my room were gross. The hair conditioner came out brown and liquidy. Just disgusting on so many levels. My suitcase and cloths all smell of mildew now. This is the only review I have ever taken the time to write. I am dumbfounded by the good reviews.

Room Wi-Fi was not working and when spoke the front desk lady … she refused to provide any help till next day 9 am when we will be leaving .. also the facility is bare minimum without any sea view .. one can get better option at this price

Beds were comfortable- loved the location of my room. Nice balcony. The curtains wouldn’t close all the way and the curtains were dirty. The shower needed some deep cleaning as well. But overall- it’s a nice location. The beach was a decent walk. But cheaper price compared to other hotels.

The facility is NOT like conventional Hotels. It's an Airbnb type facility. It's clean, but needs some repair. Bed side light is none existance - you have to walk to turn off the light. The electric outlet beside the bed doesn't work. The shower has low pressure. It's a bit noisy - I assume coming from other rooms. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE: it's pretty clean and safe & convenient location - 5 minutes walk from the famous Ocean Drive.There is no on-site staff. You communicate via txt or email which I find it to be exellent. I am impressed by unparrel customer service experience. I think her name was Kimberly G. She is extremly professional, prompt and very helpful. She let us in half hour earlier. All in all is very good acomodation. It will be even better with some minor repairs. They should qualify it as Airbnb type accomodation to manage customer expectations.

Overall the room is basic but ok. The major problem was the parties at the mini bar. It was so loud, people were screaming until 3am two nights in a row.

The hotel is super trendy and fun. The staff was really cool and helpful. However, self parking is like a 15 minute walk which isn’t cool. If you’re not sure where to go for it, it’ll take longer. The wifi also just straight up doesn’t work (even when it says it’s connected) and cell service in the area isn’t great, so don’t expect to be available for emails or work from the hotel.

The location is great. The internet works. Otherwise, not a great hotel experience. Not worth the money (and it is utterly laughable that someone rated this as an “upscale 4 star hotel”). Ignore the “we apologise your stay didn’t meet your expectations” nonsense that will inevitably follow my review. Here’s the lowdown: 1. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone above and below you, and to both sides. 2. The guy in the room next to me got locked INSIDE his bathroom. The workmen spent the next hour banging and shaking the entire hotel trying to fix the problem. 3. They do not do daily housekeeping. You have to “schedule” housekeeping at the front desk. There’s often a huge line (10+ minutes). If you call the front desk, they put you on hold for ever with annoying crackly music. And when you do finally get to speak with someone, they then tell you they’ll come “anytime between 12 and 5” - so you have no idea when they’ll actually come. This is supposedly a four star hotel and you have to spend 15 minutes each day to schedule housekeeping as if they’re doing you a favor. Can you imagine doing that at a Hilton? 4. The bath towels. They’re literally laughable. Two tiny hand towels. They’re basically flannels. Literally - you’ll actually laugh out loud. 5. The bed. It sags in the middle. It’s creaky when you move. It feels cheap. Like it’s gonna break at any moment (i’m 180lbs). 6. The “desk”. Is tiny. If you want to work remotely here - good luck.

Very good location. Comfortable and safe rooms.

Had to switch rooms due to very noisy neighbors. Then the new room didn’t lock that well, so I didn’t feel safe. The floor also had a film on it that felt dewy, and someone’s hair was on the shower wall.

Stayed here one night before a cruise and the location was perfect with nearby shopping and eateries within walking distance. Check-in was easy & online and we felt safe. We had to request more towels and call front desk twice after no one brought any. After returning from the cruise we stayed another night and again not enough towels! Requested more twice again and was told the storage key wasn’t available. What??!!! Can’t take some from a vacant room or do whatever you need. After waiting for over 30 minutes with pure disdain we decided to go and purchase towels. For reference, there were 3 people in my group and both times only towels for 2. This isn’t an unusual expectation but the response sure was, at the very least. Bring your own towels unless you want to save the universe by skipping a shower during your stay.

The property was fine. Nobody was ever at the front desk. I was sent a number to text. When I checked in. They gave me the wrong room so the door code didn’t work. It took them a minute to figure out what was going on. Then I was finally told I was given the wrong room number. It was very frustrating.

Employees very much nice

More like a hostel than hotel. Only for tech savvy as all online, no front of house. Not veyr clean and rooms did not get cleaned during our stay. Very rudimentary.

There were 4 days without key cards for the rooms and my whole stay they were not able to give a key for my room. I have to wait for the fronts desk to walk me to me room every time.

NEVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!!!!! WORST PLACE EVER! Towels are provided dirty The rooms don't look like the photos and don't have the amenities listed (missing desk) No front desk, and the only way to "contact" the hotel is an AI chat bot that will tell you they're addressing issues and then just do nothing. I asked 4 times over a day for clean towels and a box of tissues, and every day the support would tell me that I would get it asap, and then they would just do nothing, because there was no human and it was AI. I ended up with no clean towels, no tissues, and no desk. And now that I'm speaking to management, they're gaslighting me and refusing to refund my stay. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Horrible customer service. Lobby was only open for a fraction of the day. Valet not open at all hours. Only available via text after hours. Waited 2+ hours to receive our car along with dozens of text messages and broken promises of when we would get our keys back. Not sure if they fully clean the rooms between guests as ours had food left in the drawers. An overall terrible experience would never stay there again

Great Location and just mins from the beach. This location has great restaurants and you are in the South oF Fifth Location with fabulous restaurants and beaches. Lincoln Road and Espanola Way are near by.

A very nice friendly place to stay. The staff was great! I was able to check in early and was able to check out late to catch a ship. Great location.

Right in the middle of Souh Beach/Miami Beach. Very safe neighborhood to walk around and explore. 30 min drive from airport, 15 min drive to cruise ships.

We loved our time at The Meridian. It was super close to the beach and Ocean Blvd but far enough away where you can get a quiet night sleep! The staff was very accommodating and I loved the texting communication from them! Besides being convenient to South Beach, the hotel has a cool bar on the property and a lunch counter. For the price this is a great stay!

It's a nice small hotel, room was clean and enough room for what we needed. Having a fridge in room was handy. The pool is small but it is big enough to cool off on a hot day. Everyone I meet in the hotel from the reception to the staff in the hallway were very friendly. Location is perfect, away from all the craziness but only a 5–10-minute walk to the beach and Ocean drive.

This is a really cool property. Nice staff, cool decor, clean, comfortable place. We would definitely stay here again. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If I had any negative comment, it would be that we arrived at about noon. The front desk told us that our room was ready, but there was a charge if we wanted to get our room -- because check in is at 4. It worked out, because we had a nice, late lunch at a place the front desk guy recommended (which was great) -- and walked down to hte beach. Also, there is an extra charge if you're not out of the room by 11 AM. Their bar was nice -- Brandon, the bartender was friendly and skilled. But again, they added a gratuity (which was less than what I would have given him if the gratuity had not been forced on me). I should say that he told me the gratuity had been added when he handed me the check -- so it wasn't an attempt to sneak in a gratuity and then make the guest think that it hadn't been added. we would definitely stay here again.

The good: -The location was convenient to the beach and restaurants. -The concierge was polite and helpful. The cafe had affordable food that was quite good- recommend the açaí bowl and the service there was great. -cute little pool and sun deck The not so great: -DIRTY room. We booked through vacasa, so I don’t know if maintenance is different. But the room was all white which made it easy to see mystery stains throughout and mold (?) on the upholstered char. -valet parking $45 a night and unreliable. We called ahead an hour for our car, followed up once on our own, then the concierge called them and told us we gave them the wrong ticket number despite confirming the make and model of our car when we called -little sound insulation between rooms. It sounds like you are in the same room as your neighbors

The hotel has a nice bakery on the 1st floor and free bike rental. Easy access to the beach.

Very clean. Desk staff very friendly. They don't have ice machines but they offered to bring ice to room, after 40min and a 2nd request, we still didn't have Ice an hour after we 1st asked!! VERY LOUD‼️ Walls are paper thin. Actually heard our neighbor snoring. And people being very loud walking by in the hallway at 430am. Coffee shop prices much higher than what website lists. A mocha listed at $4.50 for regular size (all they had) was actually $7. Also says coffee bar opens at 7am was actually 8am, and worker (that lives on site) opened 10+ minutes Late!

We had some issues but they were handled well. Jesu’s was professional and friendly and took care of everything. Hotel is showing its age but location worked well for us and is in a quieter area and the “mini Bar “ on premises but not run by the hotel was a great experience!

Il Macchiato cafe makes fabulous coffee and treats! The location of the hotel was within walking distance of the beach, transportation, dining options, and shopping.
