Flawless resort experience, from check in to check out. La Palmilla is a hidden gem barely 2miles outside of Glenrose. Luxury resort with villas ranging from single bed rooms with nespresso maker / fridge / micro / deluxe bath to multi-bedroom full service with kitchen, washer&dryer...all the things! Super peaceful and chill at night. Beautiful, gated, secluded. Tesla chargers. Great pool, lots of activities, fully stocked bar and the BEST staff! Check in is all online with key coded gate and doors. As we left, the staff came by our car in a golf cart to thank us, ask about our stay and gave us organic pears and apples...it felt like a movie!!!

The property is absolutely beautiful. I was so excited for the walking trail through the pecan grove to the Brazos river. That is an excellent feature. The chapel was amazing. My room was spacious and decorated nicely. I like the contactless check-in. However, the hot tub was broken and that was one of the main reasons I chose the resort. Also, while the room was clean, I found numerous hairs throughout...on the bathroom sink and on the floor, and unfortunately on the bedding. Detail cleaning needs to be more cautious of this and a better inspection after cleaning. Maybe the housekeepers should wear hairnets? I would stay here again.

Beautiful inside and out, very comfortable and clean with spacious rooms. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. This would make a wonderful special event venue with it’s beautiful chapel and large cantina.

Incredible place! Maintained beautifully, units were beyond clean, as well as the impeccably manicured grounds. Pool and hot tub were a nice touch (albeit a little on the smaller side). Stayed in their Casitas, the kitchens were well stocked with full kitchens. Units even had washer/dryers! Only thing I would suggest is they add protein to the breakfast offerings- pancakes were the only thing on the menu..

Beautiful resort. Loved the layout, beautiful asthetics and landscaping. Great breakfast. Loved the pool and hot tub. Just little things: 1) sound from ajoining room (TV was loud) and sound of talking (probably because of tile floors). Believe some of speakers in center area were cutting in & out. Maybe a short in the line somewhere. Looking forward to returning and bringing family.

I had an amazing stay at this Mexican Vibe Resort!from the moment our booking was confirmed , a VA gave a clear instruction and one text away. As we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. They were incredibly efficient, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. ADAN gave us a tour and wonderful trivias of the property. Whether it was room service, restaurant recommendations, or activity recommendations ( fossil rim , winery) everything was handled quickly and professionally. The resort itself has a vibrant, authentic atmosphere that really captures the spirit of Mexico. The little chapel is my personal favorite. (PERFECT FOR A WEDDING VENUE).The decor, food (must try mr. ANDY's breakfast TACO and SALSA) and wee gym were all top-notch, and the river view was stunning. Clean rooms, heated pools and a relaxing vibe all around. My kids had the best time. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun and hassle-free vacation with great service that is like an hour away from DFW area.

Photos don’t do it justice. Absolutely beautiful place. Everything was wonderful. Secluded feeling but quick access to Glen Rose. You don’t have to leave the property. Excellent food truck with the best pizza and breakfast tacos. Sparkling pool. Beautiful little Spanish mission church on the property. Gorgeous stained glass. Soft Spanish guitar playing throughout the property. A nice place to de-stress, have a girls’ or guys’ trip, romantic getaway, wedding, business strategic planning event, family reunion, or just a fun weekend. Worth the splurge.

This was the CLEANEST place I think I have ever stayed! The room was immaculate, the staff was amazing, and the landscaping should be in a magazine! We enjoyed delicious homemade breakfast burritos with the BEST salsa. I would recommend this slice of heaven to anyone and everyone! I can’t wait to go back!!

Amazing. Top to bottom our stay was great! We have satyed all over 5he world and the U.S. and I would have to say as far as surpassing expectations, this stay was near our top. We certainly didn't expect all of the little details and small touches to Wow us at this spot outside of Glen Rose. Do not miss them gem. Trip with family to Fossil Rim, Glen Rose Grandbury or even Hico...Stay HERE! You will be so glad you did. The cleanliness, the secureity, the chapel, the grounds, the coffee, the modernness of the rooms, the smells of the room and on the walk into breakfast and the best ambient music (move over bahamas, mexico, miami and Vegas hotels).

Room ok- no microwave, no usb, no table, very small end tables, you will hear your neighbors. Room service/housekeeping- non existent. No towels for 3 days, no turn down. For price should be expected. Parking- bad placement and you will walk to your room- be prepared.

We were heading home and decided we wanted to find a nice quiet place to spend the evening and came upon La Palmilla. It is tucked just outside the town of Glen Rose. Wow! It is so picturesque and serene. Just what we needed after 2 days of travel. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. And then there are the rooms! Truly, well designed a luxurious. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we have had during any of our stays. This is a must stay if you are ever in the south Dallas area.

La Palmilla was absolutely beautiful!! Everything in our room was so perfect. This place made you feel like you were staying at a top notch resort in Mexico. We only stayed one night this time, but we will definitely stay there again in the future. Checking in and out was very easy. It was a contactless check in, but the owners and staff were very welcoming. The pictures online don’t lie. It’s even more beautiful in person.

Flawless resort experience, from check in to check out. La Palmilla is a hidden gem barely 2miles outside of Glenrose. Luxury resort with villas ranging from single bed rooms with nespresso maker / fridge / micro / deluxe bath to multi-bedroom full service with kitchen, washer&dryer...all the things! Super peaceful and chill at night. Beautiful, gated, secluded. Tesla chargers. Great pool, lots of activities, fully stocked bar and the BEST staff! Check in is all online with key coded gate and doors. As we left, the staff came by our car in a golf cart to thank us, ask about our stay and gave us organic pears and apples...it felt like a movie!!!

Such a relaxing, gorgeous, and unique venue. The level of service was outstanding. My husband and I began planning a return visit not long after we arrived! The gardens and stained glass were beautiful and the fridge stocked with drinks at the outdoor kitchen area were uncommon pleasant touches. This property is a Texas Hill Country Gem! We had a short stay but it was pleasant, comfy and very beautiful. The breakfast/coffee was as good as a home cooked meal. Great communication before and during stay! La Palmilla staff was great.

We were heading home and decided we wanted to find a nice quiet place to spend the evening and came upon La Palmilla. It is tucked just outside the town of Glen Rose. Wow! It is so picturesque and serene. Just what we needed after 2 days of travel. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. And then there are the rooms! Truly, well designed a luxurious. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we have had during any of our stays. This is a must stay if you are ever in the south Dallas area.

Really cool, resort style facility! This place gives you the feel of being at small resort with a small town feel. Very quiet and peaceful. There’s some neat restaurants and small town shopping down the road in Glen Rose. This is a perfect place for a wedding as it has rooms for everyone, a beautiful chapel and an all around great environment.

I had an amazing stay at this Mexican Vibe Resort!from the moment our booking was confirmed , a VA gave a clear instruction and one text away. As we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. They were incredibly efficient, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. ADAN gave us a tour and wonderful trivias of the property. Whether it was room service, restaurant recommendations, or activity recommendations ( fossil rim , winery) everything was handled quickly and professionally. The resort itself has a vibrant, authentic atmosphere that really captures the spirit of Mexico. The little chapel is my personal favorite. (PERFECT FOR A WEDDING VENUE).The decor, food (must try mr. ANDY's breakfast TACO and SALSA) and wee gym were all top-notch, and the river view was stunning. Clean rooms, heated pools and a relaxing vibe all around. My kids had the best time. Photos don’t do it justice. Absolutely beautiful place. Everything was wonderful. Secluded feeling but quick access to Glen Rose. You don’t have to leave the property. Excellent food truck with the best pizza and breakfast tacos. Sparkling pool. Beautiful little Spanish mission church on the property. Gorgeous stained glass. Soft Spanish guitar playing throughout the property. A nice place to de-stress, have a girls’ or guys’ trip, romantic getaway, wedding, business strategic planning event, family reunion, or just a fun weekend. Worth the splurge.

This was the CLEANEST place I think I have ever stayed! The room was immaculate, the staff was amazing, and the landscaping should be in a magazine! We enjoyed delicious homemade breakfast burritos with the BEST salsa. I would recommend this slice of heaven to anyone and everyone! I can’t wait to go back!!

We certainly didn't expect all of the little details and small touches to Wow us at this spot outside of Glen Rose. Do not miss them gem. Incredible place! Maintained beautifully, units were beyond clean, as well as the impeccably manicured grounds. Pool and hot tub were a nice touch (albeit a little on the smaller side). Stayed in their Casitas, the kitchens were well stocked with full kitchens. Units even had washer/dryers! Only thing I would suggest is they add protein to the breakfast offerings- pancakes were the only thing on the menu..

Beautiful resort. Loved the layout, beautiful asthetics and landscaping. Great breakfast. Loved the pool and hot tub. Just little things: 1) sound from ajoining room (TV was loud) and sound of talking (probably because of tile floors). Believe some of speakers in center area were cutting in & out. Maybe a short in the line somewhere. Looking forward to returning and bringing family.

this place is incredible. It’s like staying in a resort in Mexico or the Caribbean without having to leave town or get on an airplane. Staff is amazing. Rooms are flawless. Everything‘s perfect and it’s just beautiful out there! well, done La Palmilla home run once again!

I felt it was very overpriced for what we got. The rooms were nice, my bathroom did not have a vanity just a single sink no cabinet. It had just a small table next to the sink kind of hard to get ready with no area to put your things. No full length mirror anywhere in the room. The breakfast was terrible. Only bagels and limited cereal, I've had more options staying at a regular hotel/motel. On the weekends they do serve "full breakfast" but you have to pay for it. The event that I attended I felt was very rushed, the staff was forcefully friendly if that makes sense. One bar tender wasn't very knowledgeable on making drinks and the other bar tender had a rude demeanor. Overall I very much regret booking here and should of stayed with my original booking 7 minutes away at half the price.

This resort was a slice of Heaven in an area that feels quite remote. The check in is amazing because they just text you a code to get into your room so you don’t have to go to a main desk. The room felt massive and was extremely clean&gorgeous. There was a mini fridge that kept our food perfectly cold, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The grounds were well cared for, and just down the block we found a beautiful river. They were very welcoming to my dog, who I brought to get him out of the house while we were having work done. Checking out was a breeze, it was a simple text. If you want to get away and not talk to anyone, this is very possible here. But if you like to socialize, there were quite a few families hanging out in the main area playing games and talking. It’s not a party zone, at all, so if that’s what you’re looking for (I definitely wasn’t) then this is not the place for you. It was soul restoring, for sure. I plan to go back at least twice a year.The only thing I was confused about was that it said there was a $25 credit per day, but no one mentioned where to use that at check in (via text), so I asked and was told to use it in the self serve bodega for snacks or merch, but no instructions on how to do so, so I was unable to use that. There should be better information on that, without asking. This resort was a slice of Heaven in an area that feels quite remote. The check in is amazing because they just text you a code to get into your room so you don’t have to go to a main desk. The room felt massive and was extremely clean&gorgeous. There was a mini fridge that kept our food perfectly cold, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The grounds were well cared for, and just down the block we found a beautiful river. They were very welcoming to my dog, who I brought to get him out of the house while we were having work done. Checking out was a breeze, it was a simple text. If you want to get away and not talk to anyone, this is very possible here. But if you like to socialize, there were quite a few families hanging out in the main area playing games and talking. It’s not a party zone, at all, so if that’s what you’re looking for (I definitely wasn’t) then this is not the place for you. It was soul restoring, for sure. I plan to go back at least twice a year.The only thing I was confused about was that it said there was a $25 credit per day, but no one mentioned where to use that at check in (via text), so I asked and was told to use it in the self serve bodega for snacks or merch, but no instructions on how to do so, so I was unable to use that. There should be better information on that, without asking.
