Great hotel to stay at, clean, staff were very friendly and helpful! Love that it has a huge patio with bbq grill right by the pool. Parking was very convenient and the room was spacious and very nice. I will definitely stay here again.

Jacuzzi was down, cones are on the fire pit. No barbecue island. Overgrown the grass. The room was clean for the most part. The female staff at reception were super and welcoming and not accommodating for early check-in.

Rooms are tired looking. Most of equipment in fitness room does not work. Breakfast offerings are limited.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked and a good variety. The rooms are in separate buildings from the main check in area and unfortunately the hot tub was not in operation. But it was a pleasant stay!

Everything was AWESOME except having to pay for parking of all things in this south reno location was the most absurd thing i ever heard !!!!!

I was extremely disappointed in the stay here the pool was closed down and they said they're going to fill it in with dirt and that's one of the reasons why I stayed there was for that amenity. And now they're taking it away and told me that the pool was up and running before I got there lied extremely upset about that went to the pool it was disgusting the whole place is run down customer service is terrible they're breakfast is repeat of everything they had the day before just okay Will not stay here again.

The room was surprisingly large with a simple kitchen included (no oven). Nice and clean bit dark. Breakfast choices are really limited. Prepackaged muffins, cereal, porridge and some sad bananas. Near a good grocery store (Smiths across the street) though so able to get supplies. Pool was open and looked nice, but hottub is now permanently closed. Overall a decent stay and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

The charge you extra money for parking your vehicle on their property. Absolutely ridiculous.The beds were too firm, I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I didn't sleep well at all because of it. I woke up constantly sore. The room was clean and roomy. Check in was easy. Breakfast was great quality.

Our room 120, the bedroom was adjacent to a non-functioning security door, banging loudly every time someone entered or exit. Sleep was poor quality due to this facilities problem. One would imagine a security issue like this would be fixed overnight. Nope. Anybody could just walk in off the street.

Room was filthy. Carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in years. Doors are dirty and couch is broken. Grounds are not maintained. On the other hand, breakfast was good and the shower worked well.

We arrived around 6pm, had to stand in line 45 minutes to check-in, and when it was finally our turn we were told our room wasn't ready. We booked months in advance, so they were expecting us. When our room was finally "ready" we found the carpet covered in pet stains. We didn't have any pets, but a pet room would have been fine if it had been sanitized. Obviously they don't comprehend that the pet fees collected are to be used to sanitize the inevitable accidents. The silverware in the kitchen drawer was extremely sticky, the water pressure was lousy, and there were no bath towels. When I called the front desk and asked for towels I was told they would send some up right away. Two hours later we still had no towels, so my husband went to the desk to collect them. As he was explaining the problem to the clerk, a guest behind him spoke up to say that they were there for the same reason. The mattress on the hide-away was urine stained and was a torture device, as it was just springs covered with a piece of cloth and no padding whatsoever. This place needs to be inspected by the health department. Breakfast was edible, but not good. The only compensation we received for all the inconvenience was to have the parking fee waived. What kind of hotel charges its customers to use the parking lot? Only good points: The A/C worked, the regular bed was comfy, and the night clerk was friendly. My recommendation is to avoid Sonesta.

Decent property but really dirty! Huge stain with crud on carpet, toilet pluggedup, someone's sock on the floor. Do we need to say more? Almost slept in our clothes. I'm sorry, because the facility was ok.

The property interior looks a little dated, the entry ways had a lot of debris in them. The carpet looked old in the hallways. The carpet had stains in our room, the refrigerator had a dent. The toilet seat was stained on the underneath.

It was great! I only stayed overnight and was really surprised with how clean the room was. The room looks to have been recently updated and is spacious. It is also located close to restaurants and shops. I would stay here again.

This property was just ok. The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been upon arrival. You could clearly see stuff on all of the doors, food on the remote control, a sock leftover from a previous guest, and just overall cleanliness. The beds are hard, and the toilet handles have to be held down to flush. The breakfast is VERY limited. All that being said, it was nice to have a 2 bedroom, kitchen, and little living room. The area was great, with plenty of shopping and eating options. Also be aware that they allow pets in all rooms.

My only complaint is the room was very dirty. My baby was crawling around the floor and her hands and knees were black from how dirty the floor were. Upon entering there was a cigarette smell but would fade off once in the room.

We stayed here for the holidays for 11 days. While the price was reasonable and the room spacious enough to serve its purpose, several issues were hard to overlook. Security was concerning—keypad doors in the back of the complex didn’t lock, allowing anyone access. The hallway carpets were filthy, and the room's cleanliness was unacceptable. Despite asking three times, the floors in our room were never cleaned. Midway through our stay, our toilet began leaking. We were moved to a second room that was inexplicably marked usable despite being under construction. After a quick apology, we were moved again—this time to a courtyard view room, even though we paid for a mountain view. Adding to the frustration, we were told the leaking toilet in the original room would simply be caulked over, raising serious concerns about maintenance practices. Unfortunately, these issues made the stay far less enjoyable than it could have been.

I liked the kitchenette. Breakfast was ok. People in the next door were loud and verbally arguing all night.

We loved staying at this property. The kitchen was perfect, the bed comfortable and the bathroom large and well appointed.

Great hotel. But most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on.

Cons: The thermostat in the room didn’t work, hardly any water came out of the shower, it took a long time to do the check in, they don’t clean the rooms everyday, they charge for parking, continental breakfast wasn’t that great. Pros: the rooms are big, breakfast is provided, the rooms have a kitchen with microwave, full refrigerator and stovetop.

Room was clean, nice size, bed was comfortable and kitchen had basics you need. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, but doable. Hotel gym had enough for few days workout. Breakfast was ok, toast, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, steaks and pancakes. After reading previous reviews, I was positively surprised with this hotel.

Nice large rooms, easy parking and close to Starbucks. Continental breakfast left something to be desired, which is why having a Starbucks near by was so important!

The floors are dirty! Food was ok for quick breakfast, beds were average, water pressure was very low in shower. Had to sign in each day for Wi-Fi, heard traffic and planes departing, soap container in bathroom was empty. No extra pillows for hide a bed couch😳pool was adequate!

The hallways are uninspiring, but the rooms are very comfortable and well laid out. We had a problem with our first room, and staff were extremely accommodating in getting us moved to a different room.

Terrible management, awful disrespectful staff. The supervisor (Susan) let herself into our room and demanded we leave despite having a booking for 4 days. She was rude and condescending, so was the front desk when I called to ask about what I had just experienced. I emailed the manager and her responses were dismissive. Additionally, first floor rooms are extremely noisy. You can hear everything outside, people talking, dogs barking, the front door being opened and slammed. You can also hear the people upstairs slamming cabinets and stomping their feet. Dirty, yellow bathroom tiles. Dirty pillow cases. The surfaces were sticky, had to wipe everything down. The headboard was sticky and had splatter marks, no pic had already cleaned it. Hotel gives the appearance it's nice but they cheap out on paper towels and tissue. Update: My husband went to the front desk to speak with the general manager face to face, the first 3 times she was in a meeting. Most likely talking to her staff about this incident. He went back later in the day, the front desk went to the back office, was there a long time then came back to tell my husband the manager had already left. We never got an apology, just a lot of excuses. I don't believe she already went home. My husband did speak with Susan who said the whole thing was a misunderstanding, that she only peaked her head into the room and spoke to me nicely, and that she didn't know we had consecutive bookings until she went back to the office.

I made a reservation to stay here about 1 month in advance on Expedia. There was a group of us staying there moving our girls into college. The hotel called me at 1:00 in the afternoon of checkin day to say that they didn't have a room for me as they were overbooked. I explained that I was staying there with a group of friends and they didn't care and just say "call Expedia to get you a new hotel". As I was by myself and in a strange place, I was not happy with this but luckily Expedia did find me a room in another hotel. My friends who did end up staying there said the rooms were not very clean and it was probably a good thing that I got bumped.

Front desk so friendly and helpful. This is our new go to pace when we are in town and need a hotel.

I’ve stayed here several times because the rooms are just awesome. They’re like little studio apartments, and they are clean and comfortable. However, the front desk staff is always a little questionable. My first stay, I left something in my room and had to literally call them every day to have someone go try to find it, and I would never get a call back, and I still never got my property back. This was over a year ago. This most recent time when I checked in, they were only able to make one key for me because something was going on with their system, understandable, and no big deal. But when I was given the key, I wasn’t giving the room number, where to go, I had to ask and then the front desk agent said “oh oh, sorry about that.” Usually the room is completely clean and spotless, and this room was clean, except for two food wrappers I found right next to the bed. When I checked out the next morning, I had a five dollar charge for parking, which isn’t a lot, but I was never told there was a charge for parking. And the young lady at the front desk was texting on her phone, and completely ignored me. I handed her my key, she said thank you, and then I asked for a receipt, and then she had to put her phone down and got up to get it. I’ll still continue to stay here because I love the room so much, I just hope for some improvements with the front desk and the staff.

My wife and I arrived in the area early made a call to try to check in around 1:30 p.m. We were told by staff this could not be done and check in could only happen after 4 p.m. When we arrived at 4:45 we were advised by the front desk staff no rooms were available. When I stressed that we had made a reservation they said there was nothing they could do. Staff told us they could not give us a check in time because rooms were being cleaned and other people were waiting who had arrived before us. When I pressed the issue about when a room would become available, we were rudely told, "Whenever one becomes available". I asked if they could they give us a call when a room became available and was told they could not do that. After more discussion they relented and took our number. After an hour we returned and saw others being checked in. At no time did we receive a call. After checking in at 5:45 we were given a room. Unfortunately upon arriving at the room we discovered the cleaning service had just begun. How does that happen when the room was assigned to us? Because we could not prepare for a scheduled dinner date with friends all we could do is cancel our dinner reservations. When I pressed the issue with staff, I was told there was nothing they could do. The only reason we did not leave was because we had booked thru Hotel's.Com and had paid up front with a no cancellation policy. I cannot recommend this Hotel because of the Staff rudeness and the lack of Management.

Don't try to check in early, staff doesn't bother to see if any rooms were available. Just told me they didn't have any rooms available without checking on the computer or asking the housekeeping staff. They have a short-staffed sign with a doorbell in the front. Hotel was clean and location was in a decent area. Just a drive to the main casinos. Room was spacious, the firepit you see in the photos are actually on, propane pit if you want to bbq. Would've given a higher review, but front desk staff was meh.

I asked for linen I never received it. I was with a group, and some of thier rooms wasn't ready for hours. Someone in my party was charged several times without permission.

Clean room. Super cute set up. Only issue is that I called the front desk multiple times from my room with no answer. Would definitely stay again

I’ve stayed at Sonesta’s before and they never disappoint so I wasn’t surprised when I checked into pure luxury and comfort. The location was perfect because there were so many dining options. What made it 10x better is that it’s only down the street from my in-laws! Great price for great quality. I have no complaints and would definitely stay there again when visiting Reno.

Room had trash from whoever stayed in the room before us left on the side of the bed, there was dirt and debris behind the bedroom door, TV didn’t work the first night and the hide a bed in the couch was cheap and seriously uncomfortable. The breakfast was mediocre. The eggs were powdered eggs and the sausage was boiled or just not good. The pancake maker didn’t work most of the time. The first day we had breakfast, the milk was spoiled. Definitely not worth it in my opinion.

The space was nice and the rooms were large but we had the unfortunate experience of not receiving the breakfast as advertised. The breakfast area was under construction and the grab and go breakfast was unsatisfactory. The selection was limited and they always team out of food. L
