到着して直ぐのウェルカムドリンクやお菓子が豊富で良かったです。食事もビュッフェのコースでしたが種類も味も素晴らしかったです。特にディナーのローストビーフは厚切りでありながら柔らかくて食べごたえありました。夜にはロビーで大道芸のパフォーマンスもあり楽しめました。出発前には日光東照宮の行き方を尋ねたらパンフレットと駐車場のリアルタイムの空き情報が分かるサイトを教えて頂き大変助かりました。少し残念だったのがタオル系の物が薄く感じてしまいました。

This was a beautiful property and the different onsen options were great, we tried them all out and felt rejuvenated and relaxed for the rest of our trip. The buffet was great and our room was beautiful and comfortable.

エントランスの出迎えからチェックインまでの対応が手厚い。高評価のビュッフェは都内ホテルとまではいかないが良く考えられており、見る楽しみ以外に自分で半調理するのも面白い。ウェルカムドリンクサービスは温泉饅頭からソフトクリームまで多彩に用意されていた。氷点結ビールは利用者も多く風呂上がりに格別だった。お湯は単純アルカリ泉で印象は薄いが清掃も行き届いていてアメニティも満足できた。子供用のシャンプーや食事もあり小さな子も楽しめる印象。景観は川側の割には川が見えず（近すぎる？）閑散としていた。今度は紅葉の季節に訪れたい。

We had a wonderful time at Kinugawa Onsen. The traditional Japanese rooms were wonderful and the breakfast and dinner buffet were wonderful. We also enjoyed the public baths, karaoke rooms, and reflexology massage. The gift shop was also lovely stocked. The views of the mountains and river from the rooms and floors were wonderful. Highly recommend if you want some low key, nature retreat from your visit to Japan.

昨年初めて滞在し、良かったので2度目の滞在！清潔でスタッフさんの感じも良く、何より夕ごはん、朝ごはんのビュッフェが最高です！周りを散歩するのも楽しいです。温泉ももちろん良いですよ！

工作人員服務態度良好，早晚自助餐豐富，溫泉空間很大，就算30人共用都不會覺得擠擁，也有多款泉水可選擇。我們3人住和式房，雖然乾淨但已經覺得老舊，特別洗臉盆有鐵銹漬，露台有蚊蟲屍體。但總體都滿意，價錢亦超值，會推薦朋友入住。

食事はビュッフェでしたが、種類が豊富で食べきれないほどでした。とても美味しかったです。普段から薄味を好んでますので若干、味付けが濃いめに感じましたが、若い方達にはちょうど良いのかも知れません。お刺身が美味しく、テーブルで炊き上げる釜飯も美味しかったです。お腹いっぱいで、残念ながらアイスまで行き着けませんでした。温泉も気持ち良かったです。ただ一つだけ、お部屋に最初に入って気が付いたのは、前の方が使用されたと思われる歯ブラシが洗面所の棚の1番上に残されていました。ギョッとしましたが、夫は背の低いお掃除の方が上まで見えなかったんやろ、と笑っていました。そう思って私も存在を忘れるように過ごしましたが、それさえ無ければ大満足だったので少し残念でした。

朝食、夕食共にブュッフェでしたが、種類が多く、とても美味しく、連泊でも飽きることなく楽しむことができました。大浴場も清潔で快適でした。ウェルカムドリンクや食べ物もとても充実していました。スタッフの皆さんはとても感じが良く、また是非泊まりたいホテルです。

We stayed overnight and we were impressed at the variety of food that they served at the buffet for dinner and breakfast. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The public bathrooms were spacious and they had a sauna too. The air vent in the bath needs to be cleaned though. Other than that, we were impressed and we’d definitely want to stay again. Thank you!

外観は古いもので、いいものとは言えないが、内装はリノベーションしてるし、部屋も広く満足でした。スタッフのサービスもいいし、朝夕食のビュッフェも品数が多く、食べすぎてしまいました。

Room was tatami, very traditional. My spouse loved sleeping on the tatami mats and she especially loved the yukkata and the onsen. The buffet dinner and breakfast were the best ever!

Most things were good but considering we had a Western room, so many signs in the room were in Japanese only. All the Onsen , shops in the hotel and even outside the hotel especially a Tuesday were closed. There was no where to even buy a glass of water from 9am till 2pm. We couldn’t even book a family Onsen. Unfortunately the food and entertainment was the same when we were there for 3 nights in a row. The pillows were the worst I have ever slept on. The room were very clean but dated. Wifi was good. Staff were good.

There was a very loud fan noise outside of our window and it kept us awake the whole night. Both my friend and I work traveling and we heard jt. This property is very old and dated. The buffet was full of food however it was very mediocre. We shortened our stay from two nights to one night

I should have booked 2 nights to really enjoy! Everything was excellent. My 1st time in Japan and this was lovely. Staff checking me in spoke great English. I booked a huge tatami room and had a balcony overlooking the river. There is a turn-down service while you’re at dinner. Buffet was fantastic and the whiskey was not watered down at all! Definitely try the sesame ball things for desert. There are clear English instructions on how to use the onsens and an app that shows you how crowded they are in real time. Wonderfully comfortable sleeping here. I’d love to stay 2 nights in the future, maybe check out Edo Wonderland. The hotel gift shop is a good place to buy nicer, regional souvenirs. Excellent customer service: 100 out of 10. Just watch a couple videos on how the limited express trains work & the Kinugawa hotel busses & you’ll be fine.

Amazing staff!!! It is a little tricky to find and take “public transportartion and trains” and if you arrive to Nikko very late in the evening past 6 there will be no Taxis available. They will look after your needs and accomodations all the time. They were able to pick us up from the train station since we were in despair basically… and a little lost after a very long traveling day. They even helped us with dinner since we were really late and to coordinate a taxi service for the next day!!! I wished i could ve stayed longer to relax more. The breakfast and dinner buffet is a loooooot of food for everyone and a great variety of desserts as well. The reflexology therapy was great although for an additional fee. The have public and private onsen experiences as well. Great place! Great staff!!! Yuka was amazing!!! And all the staff very caring and accommodating even in the dinnning room. Everyone smiles and always in a good mood and attitude.

Sub-standard 3* hotel for the price of a 5*. Difficulty the get in, far from all the nice attractions and the fact that the staff speaks very poor English, makes the experience more an adventure than anything else. Food was good, rooms were ok…did I mentioned I payed 5* price? The pictures on Orbitz look amazing thou.

Amazing staff!!! It is a little tricky to find and take “public transportartion and trains” and if you arrive to Nikko very late in the evening past 6 there will be no Taxis available. They will look after your needs and accomodations all the time. Staff was fantastic and good food for breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant experience. But the area is pretty remote and would love to have more transportation options around the area. But still accessible via public transportation and very fun.

Rigtigt godt ophold. Hotellet er rigtigt fint, dog fremstår det lidt ældre hist og pist, men helhedsindtrykket er godt. Maden er virkeligt flot. Rigtigt meget forskelligt og god kvalitet. Værelset er præcist som man forventer, rent og rummeligt. Området omkring hotellet er dog noget træt, men utroligt flot natur.

After 7 days of busy touring around Tokyo this was exactly what we needed! Being surrounded by the lush green hills was lovely. The accommodation was great, we opted for a Japanese style room and it was wonderful. While we were enjoying the fantastic buffet our room was transformed with futons. The food was amazing, something for every taste, my teen sons had a wonderful time trying many different dishes over our stay.

Buffet was excellent with an enormous array of food. Private onsen was approx ¥3300 for 45minutes. There is quite a lot to do around the local area, we stayed one night but easily could have filled in two days.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful though their English is very limited. They seek to please. Breakfast and dinner buffets were tasty and of good quality ingredients, items were always stocked. Large onsen facilities, it never felt crowded.

We were unsure about this hotel being it was older, but once we arrived, we knew we were in for a great time. We were greeted by what seemed like the whole staff as we entered and the service and attention never ceased the entire trip. The included breakfast and dinner buffet were incredible as were the onsen facilities. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future and will be sure to let all our friends and family know about this place as well.

We were unsure about this hotel being it was older, but once we arrived, we knew we were in for a great time. Most things were good but considering we had a Western room, so many signs in the room were in Japanese only. All the Onsen , shops in the hotel and even outside the hotel especially a Tuesday were closed. There was no where to even buy a glass of water from 9am till 2pm. We couldn’t even book a family Onsen. Unfortunately the food and entertainment was the same when we were there for 3 nights in a row. The pillows were the worst I have ever slept on. The room were very clean but dated. Wifi was good. Staff were good.

朝食、夕食共にブュッフェでしたが、種類が多く、とても美味しく、連泊でも飽きることなく楽しむことができました。大浴場も清潔で快適でした。ウェルカムドリンクや食べ物もとても充実していました。スタッフの皆さんはとても感じが良く、また是非泊まりたいホテルです。

Amazing hotel with very kind staff. We were treated like royalty the moment we pulled up in our car. The whole arrival and checkin process was very efficient, and the we were offered drinks and snacks in the lounge. The buffet had a good variety of high quality food. The Onsens were very nice and well maintained. The room was very basic and quite dated (probably hasn’t changed much since the 90 s) but this didn’t bother us as they focus on service and quality overall. We really only slept in the room and spent the rest of the time exploring the area. Overall great stay and we’d definitely come back.

Unfortunately this property did not meet expectations and was grossly overpriced. The Japanese style room was very dated but a nice size. Good AC. The food was great and there were a lot of options. The property needed to be cleaned and updated. The area outside of the property is shocking. It is filled with abandoned buildings that are various states of disrepair. It felt unsafe. Transportation wasn’t great. I booked the bus- which is said to be an amenity- only to learn we had to pay getting off. Good thing I had cash. People were nice but I’d never go back.

Our family enjoyed staying in the quiet countryside. The reservation includes a breakfast and dinner buffer, which was delicious. They also have complimentary drinks and snacks from 3 to 6pm. The hot springs felt relaxing as well. The hotel is isolated, and the nearest convenient store is a 10 minute walk away, but the trees and mountains really make you feel immersed in nature. Great reset from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This is our first experience at a Japanese style hotel, ryokan. The overall stay was excellent as expected. The menu in their buffet (all you can eat) looked good, though we could go over most of menu items, too many items. The ones we tasted were excellent. We liked the variety of desserts served. We must mention that staff services were excellent in every aspect.

This place offers a great experience of how the traditional Japanese onsen used to be like. It is sad to see the decline of Kinugawa onsen area but it is still a very memorable onsen resort and Nikko nearby is a bonus.
