This hotel is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff is helpful. There is no laundry service or washer. The breakfast buffet is very nice

Quiet place to stay to visit Vesuvius National Park and Herculaneum Archaeological Park. Beautiful grounds and large parking lot. Friendly reception and staff. Good breakfast. Rooftop terrace bar was closed when we visited end of March, but we still were able to enjoy the view of the sea, Sorrento and Capri. The balcony off our room had a great view of Vesuvius!

Very nice hotel. Nice staff. Pool also nice but unfortunately they close it very early 6:30 pm so when you back from hrs of walking and wishing you will have time to use the pool it’s almost impossible. Very nice rooftop bar with beautiful view.

This was a 3 night lay over on a travelling trip. The hotel is ok, the breakfast was ok, although the toasting machine was v.slow. Good choice otherwise. We where a tad miffed that no iron facilities available, even though laundry bags available in room!! Bit rubbish for a 4 * residence. Roof terrace was good. Also surprised that swimming caps have to be worn when in the pool. No mention of this and there is a charge,only small. Staff very nice. Plse note taxi down to the edge of town...<1.5km €20. Bit excessive. Easy to get to Naples and Pompeii by train.

Nice rooftop bar and free parking

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal.The grounds are pretty and well looked after. The pool is beautifully clean and has a life guard.There are great views of the volcano in one direction and the island of capri in the other. It is perfectly situated for visiting pompei. Herculaneum and Naples.If you are happy to walk there are restaurants within 20mins.

The Hotel Marad was a great location to visit Pompei, Mount Versuvius and Herculaneum. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and plenty of choice. The pool was small but never too busy. We had a wonderful stay.

Der var flere ting som var irritationsproblemer (forsinket værelsesudlevering, køleskab på værelset som ikke virkede, sæbeholdere på badeværelset som var knækket af etc) men der var to helt store problemstillinger som var helt uacceptable. 1) Vi konstaterede efter at have sovet på værelse 205 en nat at værelset dagen efter var fyldt med myrer alle steder. vi undersøgte det nærmere og fandt en stor revne i væggen bag et stort gardin. Derudover hang loftet i laser over samme sted og var fyldt med mug og skimmelsvamp (vi har selvfølgelig dokumentation/billeder af det hele). Vi kontaktede straks receptionen og fik tildelt et andet værelse (rum 204) lige ved siden af det værelse som var fyldt med dyr og skimmelsvamp - og hvor airconditionanlægget er i forbindelse med alle rummene på den gang. 2) Hele Marad Hotels håndtering var ikke acceptabel lige som det var umuligt at komme i kontakt med ledelsen for hotellet selvom ingen andre ansatte var i stand til at træffe beslutninger. Vi forventede og forlangte at vi ikke skulle betale for den første overnatning hvor vi sov i et værelse fyldt med dyr og skimmelsvamp men hotellet holdt fast i at det skulle vi - vi kunne få dækning for et måltid vi havde spist på hotellet aftenen før som kun udgjorde halvdelen af den første nats totalomkostning. Vi valgte selvfølgelig at tjekke ud om morgenen dagen efter. Vi kan selvfølgelig ikke anbefale dette hotel til nogen overhovedet.

Definitiv kein 4-Sterne Hotel. Zimmer veraltet, Balkontür defekt, Ameisen im Zimmer. Würde beim nächsten Mal ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Ein Hotel , welches in die Jahre gekommen ist. Viele Ameisen im Zimmer, Abflüsse, die schlecht ablaufen, Klopplungrb, die ewig brauchen um wieder voll zu sein. Alles in allem eher mäßig für das Geld!

Excellent hotel. I arrived late and the check-in process was very easy. Davide is very professional and friendly. He helped us find the address of a place that we needed to visit the next day. The room was very modern and clean. I will come back for sure/

Location is very isolated. The room we staying in had mold on the roof of the bathroom and in the morning there were pieces of ceiling all over the floor. Restaurant had a very limited menu. We stayed 1 out of our 3 nights.

Decent but highly outdated rooms (stayed in the annex). Pool is small but nice enough to spend 1/2 day by. Breakfast not good. The people working there are really helpful and service oriented though, something that makes up for some of the hotel’s shortcomings

Overall excellent, the only criticism was the beds were too hard and uncomfortable.

We stayed at the Hotel Marad for about a week during August, using it as our starting point to visit the surrounding parts of Southern Italy. While the rooms were small, they were modern and very comfortable and more than met our needs. The WiFi worked quite well and while a bit repetitive, we very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and particularly the outdoor dining in the garden. We also used the rooftop deck, which was nice for drinks and light fare in the evening. The staff were helpful and overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel as great value for money.

wonderful cocktail terrace but the beds are too hard so I wouldn't stay again

la chambre 115 que j’occupais est bruyante le matin de bonne l'heure car donnant sur l’allée où arrivent, stationnent et déchargent les camions de livraisons. Chambre donnant également sur un escalier par lesquel entrent les personnels du ménage (bruits des aspirateurs traîneau qui cognent)

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Nebengebäude mit Balkon und herrlichem Meerblick. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig und sauber. Die Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert und war nicht laut. Es gab auch einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer, der sehr praktisch war. Es gab immer ausreichend Parkplätze, was uns gut gefallen hat. Auch das Frühstück bot eine reiche Auswahl, unter anderem Rührei und Würstchen und kleine Mini-Brötchen. Der Pool ist nicht besonders groß, aber war für uns völlig ausreichend für eine kleine Erfrischung. Und auch die Gartenanlage, in der der Pool und auch die Gebäude eingebettet sind, ist sehr schön. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, aber dafür ruhig. In die Stadt ist es ein ca. 15 Minütiger Spaziergang, der allerdings rückzugs auch etwas steil ist. An die Strände von Torre del Greco ist es ca. 5 - 6 Kilometer. Wir hatten jedoch ein Auto, somit war das für uns kein Problem. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Wir können das Hotel daher weiterempfehlen und würden auch jederzeit wieder dorthin kommen.

The hotel looked like a resort and was beautifull. , service was very good. But we started with issue of AC not working & they moved us to a different room very quickly, which was nice of them. Showers were so small and glass doors didn’t close fully and hence bathroom flooded. We cleaned it ourselves and learnt to squeeze into a corner & take shower with little pressure. Other than those inconvenience staff was very helpful, good us good taxi service for our tour . All & all turned out ok .

Staff friendly and attentive, quickly learnt my sister was gluten intolerant and offered alternatives. Food quality was excellent and menu changed daily. Special mention to Chiro our taxi driver who couldn’t have been more helpful. Room well appointed with free wifi. Overall much better than expected. If I have to be picky I would say there were signs the bathroom would need freshening up before too long and the restaurant could open a little earlier but that is picky

Generally a nice place to stay with good parking. Beds were a little hard and room was too hot ( unable to turn on cooling) but overall great staff and nice and clean. I think the reed diffuser is a bit overpowering in lobby. Breakfast is great with a lot of choice. No ramp to get heavy bags down to reception. Very small shower but great water pressure. We had a great view of the bay and Vesuvius after upgrading.

Staff was absolutely exceptional. Food was delicious and fresh every single day. Couldn't have had a more pleasant experience! Would easily choose to stay here again and again.

Our room was really nice and we had a big balcony. The front desk people were super helpful. The even prepared me a to go breakfast since my can picked me up at 3:45 am for the airport.

Nice Hotel in the best part of a not so nice area. Good hotel for small kids and adults relaxing. There is thrash everywhere in this area. Buildings are not maintained. 1 of 10 trains is perfect, and come according to schedule. Bus's never come according to old or new schedule.

Hôtel excellent, mais loin de Naples où il faut se rendre en train de banlieue, avec 15 à 20mn de marche en pente pour la gare …. Donc 3/4h aller et 3/4h retour, soit 1h et demie de trajet pour visiter Naples, dans un environnement sale…

Nice hotel, very clean with friendly staff. You really need a car its a good 30 min walk uphill from the fast train station. 15/ 20 min walk uphill from the local train station. There are bars and restaurants nearby but you will have to find them,

The food and staff were excellent. The location is not great, and hard to get cabs. But we were there to see Herculaneum and for that it was the perfect location.
