A local woman told me that the noise of the trains would keep us awake, as the railway line is close. It did not. In fact the couple of freight trains we heard, were not loud, but gave the place a pleasant country soundtrack. The area for improvement is the badly designed step to get into the Office. It is not ergonomic, but a hazard.

Booked for 2 nites and loved the location so much we stay another 2 nites. Bed was so comfy, the man at reception was very nice. Room was dark so great for sleeping. Will definitely return. Pool for swimming and bbq .

The AC and refrigerator are well-known brands, impressed by the quality of the appliances given most of the time these are outfitted by what the operators can buy cheapest. The bed and sheets were so comfortable. Shower and bathroom are new and clean. Staff accomodating. So impressed by this place. Best overnight inn I’ve stayed in within Australia.

I just stayed 2 nights. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I didn’t hear a train at all despite being close to the rail line. Water pressure in the shower could have been a little better but was hot.

The property was also reflective of the old times - basic TV, smaller showers, etc. Apart from that, it was a pretty convenient property. Clean, well-maintained, and friendly staff. Definitely recommended, if you're comfortable with the location. The check-in closes at 9 PM, in case you didn't notice that in the property details.

Nice motel in a lovely historical town. Comfy and cosy. It is next to the railway line but didn't disturb us at all as they don't run all night. The cafe is no longer open but there is a fantastic bakery in town and the op shop and gallery are both worth a visit too. Overall a really nice stay and will stay again.
