A pleasant stay in an attractive country pub The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The bed comfortable. The food was good especially the breakfast. It is in a pretty village good for walking outside. Plenty of parking. Would like to see double glazing on the windows as right by a road. However this isn’ta problem at night as very quiet and peaceful. The room was exceptional with vaulted beams and chandeliers. A lovely bathroom with pleasant toiletries but the shower shelf on the edge of the bath needs attention as it is worn and needs repainting. Overall a lovely experience.

Lovely, welcoming pub. Really good food and bedroom warm and comfortable after a cold day of racing at Wincanton ! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good with great choice. Will be back!

We had another lovely stay at the Crown. Have been here a number of times and is definitely our favourite pub and place to stay. Rooms are comfortable, clean and warm and warm, food is excellent and the beer and pub environment also excellent. All of the staff are really pleasant, attentive and nothing is too much trouble, Recommend the Crown to anybody

Staff was helpful and the room was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were fine. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hotel, but there was an absolute terrible stench outside when we arrived, it could actually still be smelled in the room. It eventually died down but never went away

This was my second stay at The Crown at Harnhill, and once again, it did not disappoint! From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout my stay. The room was comfortable, well-kept, and had all the little touches that make a stay extra special. A good night’s sleep was guaranteed with the cozy bed and peaceful surroundings. The food was another highlight! I started with the scampi and pork crackling, and let’s be honest—who can say no to pork crackling? Both were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. My main was just as impressive, and breakfast the next morning was amazing. I had the Eggs Benedict, which was cooked to perfection, and the ham was to die for—so full of flavor and beautifully prepared. It’s clear that The Crown at Marnhill prides itself on excellent service and high-quality hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning again in the future. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent family stay. Highly recommended. Our only down side comment, the family room could do with an opening window, but as the room was so big, we coped with it. The Crown has a very interesting historical past.

Check in was after 5, staff was nice and helpful Room was ok nice and big, there was a big green emergency light that shined all night so no need to put light on. (As you can see by the images) kept me awake Also no hot water in the shower in the morning! Breakfast was ok for food but coffee wasn’t the best as it was a hot water flask, but walking back to room I seen there is a coffee machine on the side bit turned off for breakfast and food only available between 8-9 am so not good for business trip,

Unfortunately, the weather had turned very cold and the central heating in room No.3 was playing up, when arriving the room was chilly, however, after adjusting the radiator thermostats it was ok. The following morning the rad in the bathroom was cold and I couldn't get it to come on, I told the reception and on returning later that day it was working ok. The following morning there was no heating at all and it was freezing, I told reception and her response was this is usually the warmest room, which did not impress me.

A pleasant stay in an attractive country pub The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The bed comfortable. The food was good especially the breakfast. It is in a pretty village good for walking outside. Plenty of parking. Would like to see double glazing on the windows as right by a road. However this isn’ta problem at night as very quiet and peaceful. The room was exceptional with vaulted beams and chandeliers. A lovely bathroom with pleasant toiletries but the shower shelf on the edge of the bath needs attention as it is worn and needs repainting. Overall a lovely experience.

We had a very comfortable room for one night. The staff were very welcoming. We had dinner in the pub which was nice, but not exceptional. Breakfast was lovely although you had to decide the night before what you were going to eat.

Check in was after 5, staff was nice and helpful Room was ok nice and big, there was a big green emergency light that shined all night so no need to put light on. (As you can see by the images) kept me awake Also no hot water in the shower in the morning! Breakfast was ok for food but coffee wasn’t the best as it was a hot water flask, but walking back to room I seen there is a coffee machine on the side bit turned off for breakfast and food only available between 8-9 am so not good for business trip,

We had another lovely stay at the Crown. Have been here a number of times and is definitely our favourite pub and place to stay. Rooms are comfortable, clean and warm and warm, food is excellent and the beer and pub environment also excellent. All of the staff are really pleasant, attentive and nothing is too much trouble, Recommend the Crown to anybody

The hotel staff were friendly and parking plentiful. Hotel clean in communal areas and typical countryside pub. However the room was extremely noisy! Rooms face onto a very busy road, with frequent and regular HGVs using this fast part of the road, literally meant one of the worst nights sleep we’ve had. Also, the bath was surrounded by mould which would have made for a very unpleasant experience should there not have been a shower. Rooms were spacious however, and food ‘okay’ but I won’t be back.
