Run down, wrong signage. Dirty shower curtain

First arrived and didn’t k ow where it was (the sign name is a best western) not metropolitan! We deaf and disabled so lady argue with me not allowed to park but we parked in with disabled badge, told her bit she refused so we saw a car in disabled bay with no badge? So she kindly let us park. Went in room and maintenance been done around the room so we had to go back to reception and change room, the manager came and was kind enough to let us have the business class free of charge in way of apology. Nice manager. So parking not good but rooms and manager excellent. Had pizza and beer there bar man lovely make us pizza it was nice.

Room was clean, staff were friendly. Hard to locate due to different name on hotel compared to listing on Hotels.Com. Food was nice.

Parking around here is a nightmare. The NCP car park behind the building is closed, the few spaces in front of the hotel are of course taken early, so it's the QPark across the road which is £24 for overnight. Generally the hotel has the appearance of a low budget hotel (but not the price): the furnishings are scratched and tired, there are cracks in the walls above the window; the window was bizarrely covered in clingfilm, the carpets are grubby, with someone else's litter in the corner. The bathroom however was nice, smart and clean, the towels lovely and fluffy and the bedding clean. The breakfast is sufficient but not overly interesting. It may be that Best Western is giving the place a refurb, starting with the bathrooms, but given the price, the cost of parking, and the state of the room, I won't stay here again.
