Very attentive service and gourmet meals. A quiet hotel with a spacious room that hosted my wife, myself, and our 2 young adult children with sufficient privacy. The private onsen was spectacular, as was the little protected outdoor deck.

From start to finish, our experience was spectacular. We were picked up at a bus stop by one of the staff members, who was attentive to us for the whole duration of the trip. While we waited in the lobby, we were served a soothing cup of delicious green tea that warmed our bodies. Upon entering our room in the main house, we were dazzled by our in-room onsen, and the breathtaking mountain view right outside our windows. Our dinner that night consisted of several courses that gave us a taste of high-quality and delicious Japanese cuisine. My husband and I were refreshed and well-rested from the inside out by the end of the trip. We will most definitely be returning when we make our way back to Japan in the future! Look no further for a high-quality ryokan.

What an outstanding experience, this was definitely the highlight of my Japan trip. We booked the Asama room, which had three beds, a semi-open onsen, and an amazing view of the mountains. Notging beats waking up on the morning, and just staring in awe at the beautiful scenary from your bedside. The neals were extremely filling and delicious. Kaiseki for dinner had 8 courses and breakfast had various small dishes, seafood, rice and dessert. Staff members were very polite, friendly and always willing to answer your questions. Couldnt get enough of the onsen so I tried both our in-suite and the private one you can book for 40mins, both were fantastic.

The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! If I ever find my way back to this area, I will definitely return!

Staff was very patient with us and very accommodating. The menu was set and had some of the best quality food I’ve had in Japan. My only issue was that the onsen in our room was starting to show its age but was easy to ignore once you felt the water. It was a very good experience overall.

생각보다 더욱 만족한 료칸경험이였습니다. 처음부터 끝까지 스태프들이 배려해주고 있다는 느낌을 받았어요. 방 시설도 깨끗하고 가이세키 음식도 아주 맛있었습니다. 눈올때 갔었는데 눈이 내린 료칸 뷰는 정말 최고였습니다. 꽃이 핀 봄도 참 예쁠것같네요. 강력추천해요!

I can easily rate this experience 10/10 and it was worth every penny. From head to toe, the service was impeccable and worthy of praise. The staff was able to communicate in English so this was a great help. First off, ryokan is situated about 5-10 minutes drive away from one of the local stops in Hakone, which also included a vehicle transfer from the station. Upon reaching the ryokan, we were greeted with an immaculate view of the surrounding mountains. They had some of the best beer on tap, I believe it was the Shiro Honoka Beer by Sapporo. Cleanliness was very good, and the food was exceptional as it had some of the freshest ingredients that I had tasted. The highlight was the private onsen in the bathroom, which included a view of the mountain as well.

This Ryoukan was a top tier resort with private baths. Our room was luxurious and the whole experience was very relaxing and top notch. We enjoyed the comfortable beds as well as the grounds, the drinks, and the two meals. Also the outfits were fabulous. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Hakone

An amazing experience! The staff were very attentive and helpful. They really made it such a wonderful experience. They arranged pick up and drop off, and helped us book the right train/bus. The traditional dinner and breakfast in the private dining room was delicious. There was lots of food and it was all thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. The views we enjoyed were very beautiful. The room was perfectly outfitted to relax and enjoy the private onsen and views. We would love to come back! Thank you for an amazing stay!

If you are looking for a wonderful ryokan experience this is it! I wish we stayed longer than one night. This ryokan offers many different room styles and sizes. They also offers rooms with private bath - which is the one we chose. The whole stay - from the pick up at Odawara station to the drop off at the end - felt personalized and so so relaxing. The whole design of the property, the room, and the service was beautiful, thoughtful, and makes you feel as if you are the only person around. The kaiseki meal and the traditional breakfast were amazing! Top 3 best meals we had on our trip (2 of which were in michelin restaurants). Highly, highly recommend!

料理旅館という事で楽しみに行きましたが、完全に外国人客中心。せめてご飯には漬け物位は付けて欲しい。部屋は4人で泊まりましたが布団を敷いたら寛ぐスペースが無い。落ち着かない。部屋の動線が不便。宿泊代に見合わない。 2度と行きたく無い。4人全員の意見です。

The hotel was a bit off the beaten path, but the amenities were excellent. It's not the type of location where you can easily walk into town or explore Hakone. But, once you get settled, you might not even need to leave! Our room had an amazing view, incredible wood tub, and great beds. There were other people staying in the hotel but we couldn't hear them or notice anyone else so it felt very private. We arrived two hours before check in and they were not able to accommodate an early check-in which was okay. They drove us down to the town center and we saw some museums before heading back. the private dinner was expensive, but very excellent. And the breakfast was outstanding. We got to eat with a great view of the mountains. And the staff was very attentive and accommodating to all our needs.

Very quiet. Visited with two little kids , and the hotel staff did everything to accommodate to our needs. Food was beyond excelent. Service incredibly professional. Picked us up at the train station. Just make sure to communicate with them by email and not phone if you dont know japanese

This hotel is a traditional Japanese ryukan. The personal attendant, Miki, that the hotel provided us was amazing and so attentive to our every need. The food that was provided for our in room meals was of extraordinary quality. I would definitely stay here again!

We could not have had a more incredible time during our night at Hakone Ryori Yado Kyuan. The staff was beyond kind and accommodating, lovely to be around, and ensured we had the perfect stay. Our room was stunning -- the perfect retreat after many days in Tokyo. The food was also just excellent, and will be remembered for years to come. I could not recommend this place more!!

I can easily rate this experience 10/10 and it was worth every penny. From head to toe, the service was impeccable and worthy of praise. The staff was able to communicate in English so this was a great help. First off, ryokan is situated about 5-10 minutes drive away from one of the local stops in Hakone, which also included a vehicle transfer from the station. Upon reaching the ryokan, we were greeted with an immaculate view of the surrounding mountains. They had some of the best beer on tap, I believe it was the Shiro Honoka Beer by Sapporo. Cleanliness was very good, and the food was exceptional as it had some of the freshest ingredients that I had tasted. The highlight was the private onsen in the bathroom, which included a view of the mountain as well.

Great stay I told them I didn’t like seafood. I tried all the seafood they gave me, the last dish with rice was supposed to have fish but the chef was very kind and gave me beef.

This place is a great spot for when you’re looking to relax. The staff was hospitable and even drove us from the station to the hotel. We had our luggage’s delivered and they were already in our room. The room itself was very nice and spacious and the meals were absolutely delicious.

From start to finish, our experience was spectacular. We were picked up at a bus stop by one of the staff members, who was attentive to us for the whole duration of the trip. While we waited in the lobby, we were served a soothing cup of delicious green tea that warmed our bodies. Upon entering our room in the main house, we were dazzled by our in-room onsen, and the breathtaking mountain view right outside our windows. Our dinner that night consisted of several courses that gave us a taste of high-quality and delicious Japanese cuisine. My husband and I were refreshed and well-rested from the inside out by the end of the trip. We will most definitely be returning when we make our way back to Japan in the future! Look no further for a high-quality ryokan.

The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! If I ever find my way back to this area, I will definitely return!

We loved the stay. They didn't offer a shuttle from the train station, but did on the way back. Recommend getting a taxi or uber from any of the close stations. The staff could not have been nicer and helpful. The facility was traditional as listed and we thought it was perfect. The dinner and breakfast sets were absolutely amazing.

The hotel was a bit off the beaten path, but the amenities were excellent. It's not the type of location where you can easily walk into town or explore Hakone. But, once you get settled, you might not even need to leave! Our room had an amazing view, incredible wood tub, and great beds. There were other people staying in the hotel but we couldn't hear them or notice anyone else so it felt very private. We arrived two hours before check in and they were not able to accommodate an early check-in which was okay. They drove us down to the town center and we saw some museums before heading back. the private dinner was expensive, but very excellent. And the breakfast was outstanding. We got to eat with a great view of the mountains. And the staff was very attentive and accommodating to all our needs.

What an outstanding experience, this was definitely the highlight of my Japan trip. We booked the Asama room, which had three beds, a semi-open onsen, and an amazing view of the mountains. Notging beats waking up on the morning, and just staring in awe at the beautiful scenary from your bedside. The neals were extremely filling and delicious. Kaiseki for dinner had 8 courses and breakfast had various small dishes, seafood, rice and dessert. Staff members were very polite, friendly and always willing to answer your questions. Couldnt get enough of the onsen so I tried both our in-suite and the private one you can book for 40mins, both were fantastic.

This was our first stay at a traditional Ryokan. It was a great experience and the staff was very helpful. The food was good, but is very traditional so you should expect that going in. We had a lovely stay.

料理旅館という事で楽しみに行きましたが、完全に外国人客中心。せめてご飯には漬け物位は付けて欲しい。部屋は4人で泊まりましたが布団を敷いたら寛ぐスペースが無い。落ち着かない。部屋の動線が不便。宿泊代に見合わない。 2度と行きたく無い。4人全員の意見です。

We could not have had a more incredible time during our night at Hakone Ryori Yado Kyuan. The staff was beyond kind and accommodating, lovely to be around, and ensured we had the perfect stay. Our room was stunning -- the perfect retreat after many days in Tokyo. The food was also just excellent, and will be remembered for years to come. I could not recommend this place more!!

The place was ok, the food was good not great. The manager was incredibly inflexible. We arrived at 3 pm and wanted to keep our daughter’s bags in our room or at the lobby for a few hours as they were staying at a different hotel and we wanted to spend a few hours together. He would not allow it and called a taxi for them to leave as they could not stay and visit until dinner time. It ruined our vacation and made me VERY upset. This is for a place charging $600 for the night. Given the price, I expected better. Same for the food, it was fine but not great. To their credit, we asked for eggs for breakfast the night before and after saying no in the evening, in the morning they did have some eggs for us. Overall, the place was ok, I expected much more and the welcome treatment was awful.
