Loved our room! Had a slight problem getting into and out of the garage, but other than that, it was perfect! Thanks!

Sehr schönes neuwertiges Hotel, Zimmer sind modern und mit einer super Küche ausgestattet in der wirklich alles vorhanden ist, was man braucht. Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. Was besser sein könnte: die Beleuchtung im Bad. Es fehlt eine Lichtquelle am Spiegel (für Damen sehr wichtig 😀) und dass das gesicherte WLAN kostenpflichtig ist, ist auch nicht unbedingt zeitgemäß.

My second stay at this Renaissance Hotel was once again quite enjoyable. The room I booked was very well equipped - including a fully outfitted kitchenette, work desk and small seating area. The bed was comfortable and the room was kept very clean. The bathroom is quite small and dark, but very modern and for a single traveller it is sufficient. If you do need parking, the hotel garage is of normal size (no mini driveways!), and a safe place to park your car). On the negative side there were some service mishaps: i.e. the only available lift breaking down on one morning, and house keeping leaving both windows open all day after cleaning, so that I came back in the evening to an ice cold room. However, service recovery was quite swift - with the lift being repaired within a few hours, and management extending their apologies for the "ice box room experience" very quickly and genuinely. The front desk staff does care about customers here, and is very, very friendly and welcoming. Finally, the breakfast service needs to be highlighted: food and beverages on offer are first class, and the breakfast service is a truly delightful experience to start your day with. Overall, I can definitely recommend this hotel which is conveniently located if you like the Ottensen and Altona neighborhoods. It's on a quiet street, but with a supermarket, restaurants and public transportation all in short walking distance. Good choice for Hamburg, and real value for money.

Freischalten derZimmerkarte funktionierte nicht, so das wir nachts nicht in das Hotel kamen 🙈 Störung mitten in der Nacht, weil Personal nachschauen musste ob Zimmer belegt ist. Geht gar nicht 😞

Leider hat das Hotel einen katastrophalen Service. Die Rezeption war nie besetzt, nicht mal den Zugang zum W-Lan konnte man erfragen. Schon beim Check-In wussten wir wegen mangelnder Beschilderung nicht recht, wo wir uns anstellen sollen. Als wir unser Glück an der Bar versuchten, stießen wir auf äußerst unfreundliche und unangenehme Mitarbeiter. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in Hamburg werde ich mich trotz des eigentlichen guten Hotels mit toller Sauberkeit für eine andere Unterkunft entscheiden.

Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer. Das Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe. Sehr sauber. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Jederzeit wieder.

Waren zum wiederholten Male in diesem Hotel. Wird aber das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Frühstück war sehr spärlich, Besteck und Kaffeetassen haben teilweise gefehlt und wurden erst auf Nachfrage wieder aufgefüllt. Unser Zimmer wurde während unseres 4-tägigen Aufenthalt weder gereinigt noch wurden Handtücher getauscht. Wie schon erwähnt , die vorherigen Aufenthalte waren eindeutig besser.

Es war an sich ein ganz guter Aufenthalt, mit ein paar Einschränkungen. Leider mussten wir fast eine Stunde länger auf unser Zimmer warten, als die übliche Check-in Zeit. Als wir dann in dem Zimmer waren, waren auf den Bettlaken große mehrere Flecken. Wir haben darauf hin bei der Rezeption um einen Wechsel des Lakens gebeten. Während wir unterwegs waren, wurde uns das Laken einfach ins Zimmer gebracht und wir mussten die Betten dann am Abend selbst neu beziehen. Das war nicht so schön.

Having stayed in this hotel before over extended periods of time to visit family in Hamburg, the most recent stay at Residence Inn was a big disappointment. This hotel no longer "deserve" a four star rating die to the complete lack of service, the shocking speed of deteriorating room quality and an obvuous lack of care by staff and management. Some staff acted outright hostile towards guests, but most simply cannot be bothered to interact at all - even lacking the most basic politeness. Rooms show their age very clearly now, and no maintenance is done in thos property anymore: broken shower doors, spent light bulbs, black mold in the shower stall, worn out and "saggy mattresses" - it is clear that ther eis no maintenance done in the rooms owt likely due to profit maximization and cost cutting measures). While it's nice to have a small kitchen in the room, the design is impracticable (fridge is inaccessible, etc.) and finding the coffee machine full of old, used coffee pods and filthy does not instill confidence in the housekeeping service. The reception desk at Residence Inn is not staffed anymore, and guests must use the check in at the Moxy hotel (ca. 50 meters away). The staff at Moxy hotel are behaving extremely rudely and show no internest in serving guests from the Residence Inn. The latter is now an "Air BnB" charging high prices with no hotel service offered. Avoid this hotel which does not care about their guests, and is not at all worthy of a four star designation.

Comfort Zimmer war super! Sehr modern gestaltete Dusche. Die Kochnische war gut durchdacht gewesen. Das Doppelbett war gemütlich, allerdings wären einzelne Bettdecken besser gewesen. Man sollte mehr Mitarbeiter einstellen, damit der Empfangsservice immer besetzt bleibt. Die Dame half beim Aufräumen des Frühstückbüffets mit und konnte nicht immer sofort erkennen, wenn jemand an der Empfangstheke stand. Die Milch für das Müsli war leider vergammelt gewesen, was am warmen Wetter gelegen haben könnte. Trotzdem waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Zimmer.

Super fint næsten nyt hotel, men lækkert badeværelse og dejlige senge med blødt sengetøj. Ligger 5 min fra S banestation med super forbindelse til bymidten.

Sehr schönes und großes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und lecker.

+ trevlig person, bra med kök på rummet mm om man behöver det, rent och nytt, fint. Hyfsat nära stationen Altona - kalt och kallt; luftkonditionering stod på 18,7 och gick inte att ändra (?), högt ljud från fläkt i rummet. omgivningen inte stadsgator utan mer industriområde, bar intill som var trevlig men matservering stängde tidigt. Det här är ett hotell som passar bra för den bilburne som ska bo ett tag och behöver alla bekvämligheter som kök och tvättmaskin. Köpcentrum intill. Vi valde fel hotell, vi hade velat ha ett varmt, mysigt hotell med hemtrevlig reception.

Die Unterkunft war toll. Wir hatten zu dritt genügend Platz. Das Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet für unsere Preisklasse ( Küche ( Herd, Mikrowelle, Töpfe, Teller, Tasse, Toaster, Spülmaschine, Kühlschrank...), Klimaanlage, Bügelbrett u. Bügeleisen und Tresor.

Den Fernseher mit dem Handy zu verbinden war nicht möglich, direkt die Rezeption gefragt ob man helfen könnte, die Dame sagte am Telefon, dass es ein generelles Problem von dem Hotel Residence Inn als auch von Moxy sei und mich ohne weitere Hilfe/weitere Möglichkeiten stehen gelassen. Zum Check IN sind wir ins Hotel Residence Inn gegangen, leider war niemand vor Ort und wir mussten rüber zum Hotel Moxy, nach meinem Empfinden total umständlich.

Repeat stay at Renaissance Inn by Marriott in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, and unfortunately the service level has seriously dripped through the floor - while the s and breakfast service are still very good. Pros: still a spacious, well-equlipped room with kitchenette, separate sofa and work desk and a small, but highly functional bathroom. Good location, great breakfast offer (cold & warm dishes and beverages are excellent and plentiful), and convenient parking garage. Cons: service level is practically non-existent since there is hardly any staff to be seen. Check in and check out now has to be done pretty much at the sister hotel Moxy due to staff shortage. The only staff one encounters is the breakfast team, and not only are these gentlemen all very unfriendly (no greetings and not hospitality shown to anyone), but the chef even was chiding me , when I tried to take some food items in a manner he did not approve of. Honestly, not used to be berated by service staff as a guest... if this is in line with Marriott's standards, then, that's on Marriott. But for a Marriott hotel experience this is totally unacceptable. The same goes for the fact that most of the staff do not speak German nor even proper English: communication is a real challenge, and there is no sense of "Hanseatic hospitality". Summary: if you don't want any contact with staff, then this is the right hotel for you. As a Marriott it's a failure regarding service, but the room and breakfast do deliver.
