The cottage was beautiful and perfect for a couple. Clean with all needed amenities. Fantastic book collection! Half a mile stroll to downtown restaurants and shops. Jessica and Matt were great hosts and were available if we needed anything.

Very clean and spacious, check in was very easy, house was in ideal location for surrounding things to do. Very well stocked, communication was excellent, the entire property was beautiful. We will book again with Jessica. If you're looking for a place for 2 this is it.

We were staying overnight in New Bern on our way further south. The cottage was perfect for what we wanted. Right in town 5min walk to main center. Cottage has everything you will need (including a kitchen). Jessica was an excellent host, sent detailed instructions and even when we arrived a little earlier than the entry time she was very accommodating. Whether you are looking for a short or long term stay the cottage is perfect for 2 If we are back in the area we will rent again without hesitation

The cottage was clean and well appointed with anything you need for a comfortable stay. It was also very quiet at night which made for a great night’s sleep. Communication with Jessica was great. This place is adorable!! Immaculate!! The bed and pillows are soooo comfy! They have a smart tv too, so you can use your own log-in credentials for apps that you may have, and they included a guest-log-in for their own personal Netflix account. Only complaint is that they only have 2 small refrigerators, and no ice maker (the ice trays do not fully freeze over just one night). So you would want to bring a cooler with ice if needed for your stay. Close enough to walk downtown for shopping, dining and breweries. Super friendly hosts, too!

The cottage was neat, clean and supplied with everything we needed for a comfortable 2 day stay in New Bern. We could walk to everything we wanted to do...tours, restaurants and water walk. Jessica, the owner, was very kind and helpful.

This property was located in walking distance to everything you will want to enjoy in New Bern. We drove most places but that was due to the weather. The cottage house is so adorable both inside and out. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. Jessica was great with communicating all check-in and check-out info. She was friendly, and available.We had a wonderful time in New Bern and we will definitely be back to stay in the Cottage again.

We had a wonderful stay in this historic cottage. Located in the center of town with easy access to the invigorated New Bern downtown, the place is charming as can be. While historic in nature, everything about this place is modern on the inside. New, comfortable furnishings are everywhere. A bright, efficient kitchen is fully furnished. The place was spotless and comfortable. A great place to spend time if you are looking to enjoy historic New Bern.

This Cottage is very special. I hope we can return again. My husband and I had a great weekend. It was peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. The weather was so nice, and we walked to most places enjoying the spring flowers and the history of New Bern.

This is the absolute best place to stay in New Bern! The cottage is pristine, very well decorated and maintained, plus in a very quiet location. Extra comfy bed and great shower (two things we always look for.). The cottage is centrally located to anything you’d want to see in downtown New Bern. I have already recommended this place to friends and neighbors. Will definitely be back!

This is the second time we stayed at the Cottage. As hosts, you can't beat Jessica and Matt. They make everything perfect for your stay and for us the location is PERFECT. We are big time walkers and love being able to stay in the heart of the Historic District. We have already rebooked for a fall visit.

This cottage is awesome. The property owners were on site if we needed anything. Their communication was perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect and we found all just as described. The location is in the historic district and you can walk to shops, historic sites, the waterfront and many choices for nearby restaurants. We highly recommend this unique spot to stay while visiting New Bern. We will definitely book this spot on our next trip here.

The cottage house is so adorable both inside and out. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. Jessica was great with communicating all check-in and check-out info. She was friendly, and available.We had a wonderful time in New Bern and we will definitely be back to stay in the Cottage again.

Really beautiful property in a great location. We never needed our car as we were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants and waterfront. The cottage was clean and well appointed with anything you need for a comfortable stay. It was also very quiet at night which made for a great night’s sleep. Communication with Jessica was great. Would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and cozy historic cottage. The cottage was clean and as advertised. The location was great, as we could easily walk to shops and dining in the downtown area. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to New Bern!

As always, we love staying at The Cottage. The location cannot be beat. You can walk anywhere. In the five days we NEVER had to use our car. The hosts are the best and make you feel part of their friend/relative circle. They care about their tenants and their property.
