If you’re looking for a quick one night stay, Melbourne Inn will suffice. Check in staff was friendly and welcoming. They were also helpful when a friend thought she lost her AirPods there. They did a very thorough look of the rooms and the restaurant hoping to find them for her. The rooms are small and not very updated but not bad for a one night stay. Had we been staying longer than that, I would’ve made alternate plans. The bed was comfortable but we had to remake it because they put the blanket under the sheet and it was the roughest, itchiest blanket ever. The tv in our room (#14) was SUPER small (at best 24in) compared to TVs in other rooms (we had friends in other rooms). The bathroom was tiny and there was very little counter space outside the bathroom to get ready. We had breakfast at the new restaurant on site and it was mediocre. Wait staff seemed confused by their own menu. I had a blueberry pancake that was definitely not a blueberry pancake. Very dry and not flavorful at all. Friends asked for a mimosa and the waiter said they didn’t have that, but champagne and orange juice were listed on the menu. The friend explained how to make it and then they did. Overall, the room served its purpose for a one night stay before going to our actual accommodations. I would not stay longer than that for a vacation.

Wonderful place that you won't regret staying at. Only small issues would be sometimes there no hot/warm water to shower and it's a bit loud in the hallway as people come and go in the mornings and at night, but otherwise well worth the money and super clean!

I really enjoyed my stay here! All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was very clean. My favorite amenities were the pool and restaurant in the building. It was very convenient and there were a lot of great options to choose from. It's also located a short walk away from the St. Lawrence Gap and Dover beach, so there's a lot of other food options to choose from. If you're traveling to Barbados, I definitely recommend staying here!

The service was good checking in. We had our own private entrance from the outside which was nice. The pool was clean and beautiful for swimming. The noise at the end of the night, late night as if they were drilling was very annoying. Breakfast is not recommended. They had a few options on their menu but it took forever to come out and half way through our wait we were told half of our items were not available. When the bill came they did not take off what we didn’t eat. The room service came every other day which was also nice. Anytime we needed towels of any sort whether for the beach or the room the staff was accommodating.

Excellent location in the Gap. Close to a convenience store and lovely restaurants for either a quick bite or more relaxed dining. Room was clean and neat. Not luxury but more than adequate for a place to stay if you are on the go daily. Comfortable bed too! Pool lovely and well maintained. Staff very friendly and warm. I would return!

Lovely little hotel staff really friendly lovely little pool and area if you don't fancy the beach or for us great on our last day so we didn't need to go far. Having the little kitchen in the studio was great for a quick cuppa on the balcony at Breakfast time. Air con and massive ceiling fan in the room was great too, nice big walk in shower.

There is a garbage bin at the front entrance which reeks, while staying there was painting being done and the odor of the paint was unbearable. It rained one day and the roof of the room was leaking. The area is convenient, lots of entertainment spots, the beach and easy access to public transportation.

Nothing is unique about the proprty . Had the worst experience in melbourne inn. Have stayed in other hotels in barbados but had the worst experience in melbourne inn. They tried charging extra 40 usd in the beginning of the stay . Also trued keeping $150 bbd security money at time of checkout saying there was a stain on the sheet . When we went and checked in there was a little dot on sheet which went away just with water . There were cockroaches inside the room walking all over the dishes . When we complained they didnt bother and said why we didnt complain at the time of seeing it . Dont stay in melbourne inn. Worst experience ever !

The hotel is nice and well maintained. Room is big and comes with refrigerator, microwave. There's free water, coffee and tea. Best of all is the location. It is walking distance to Dover beach, restaurants and a convenience store

Great room, only thing that let it down was that it was next to the kitchen extractor fans which went on between 6,30 and 7 each morning and went off about 18.30, wasn’t a problem as I didn’t spend that much time in the room, very noisy neighbours got 2 nights but again not really the hotels fault, great little cafe for breakfast and lunches shame it wasn’t open later (food closed at 6 drinks 6.30) Would definitely stay here again x

This is a decent place to stay for a night or two. The taxi cost $35 USD from the airport but it’s best to ask the taxi line operator for a rate slip prior to getting in the cab or they might try to charge whatever they want. We were leaving for a cruise the next day and needed somewhere affordable and clean for a short stay. The property is small and very basic (no bells and whistles) but it did have a nice pool area and it is close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was okay - again very basic but good for a short stay. It was clean, had a fridge, microwave, balcony, good water pressure, ample space and a variety of TV channels. The bed was rock hard and quite uncomfortable but at least there is AC. It is a 2 minute walk to Irie Foods - a great Jamaican restaurant with tasty food and there is a small convenience store nearby selling drinks, snacks, toiletries etc (but it is rather expensive). Overall the hotel was okay - served its purpose for the night.

Id go back to book with them, the location is great if yu want to stay near to restaurants etc. Rooms are clean i liked my panoramic suite. Just wished the king size bed was one complete mattress and alot longer . Im 6 feet and my feet reached the end.

Great and budget friendly hotel that is a walkable distance to the beach and bars/restaurants in St Lawerence Gap area. The receptionist was also really nice and super helpful. I only had a slight issue with loud guests as the walls are a bit thin but other than that I can't fault much.

I booked this hotel for my friend who had a late night flight into Barbados and an early morning appointment. The price was reasonable and from the pictures, it appeared to be decent. The room could use an upgrade but was clean, and though the Inn is located down an alley, it’s still close to town and easily accessible. Unfortunately, the welcome received from the staff upon arrival that night left a lot to be desired. The saving grace here is that the front desk personnel who were there in the morning were very polite and helpful. Suggestion: ensure that all persons have the training to maintain the brand, day or night.

Nothing is unique about the proprty . Had the worst experience in melbourne inn. Have stayed in other hotels in barbados but had the worst experience in melbourne inn. They tried charging extra 40 usd in the beginning of the stay . Also trued keeping $150 bbd security money at time of checkout saying there was a stain on the sheet . When we went and checked in there was a little dot on sheet which went away just with water . There were cockroaches inside the room walking all over the dishes . I travel monthly and have stayed many places and this place is literally perfect. Let’s begin with the staff; Executive Level Customer Service…Helpful, Responsive, Kind, Patient…Amazing!!! The cleanliness of this property is pristine and I am quite particular… no one comes to my standard even the “5 ⭐️ All Inclusive” and The Melbourne Inn does! Everything you need is in the room, they will even do a load of laundry for $13 USD!!! The outside patio space with every room is a crazy super bonus. The location is perfect, easy breezy walk to the beach, local market and a plethora of food and drink options. The people everywhere are loving, courteous and helpful. Oh AND the pool, I didn’t even realize there was a pool and it is perfect…so so clean and refreshing. I will stay here every time I come to Barbados. Great and budget friendly hotel that is a walkable distance to the beach and bars/restaurants in St Lawerence Gap area. The receptionist was also really nice and super helpful. I only had a slight issue with loud guests as the walls are a bit thin but other than that I can't fault much.

There is a garbage bin at the front entrance which reeks, while staying there was painting being done and the odor of the paint was unbearable. It rained one day and the roof of the room was leaking. I really enjoyed my stay here! All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was very clean. My favorite amenities were the pool and restaurant in the building. It was very convenient and there were a lot of great options to choose from. Excellent location in the Gap. Close to a convenience store and lovely restaurants for either a quick bite or more relaxed dining. Room was clean and neat. Not luxury but more than adequate for a place to stay if you are on the go daily. Comfortable bed too! Pool lovely and well maintained. Staff very friendly and warm. I would return!

If you’re looking for a quick one night stay, Melbourne Inn will suffice. Check in staff was friendly and welcoming. They were also helpful when a friend thought she lost her AirPods there. They did a very thorough look of the rooms and the restaurant hoping to find them for her. The rooms are small and not very updated but not bad for a one night stay. Had we been staying longer than that, I would’ve made alternate plans. The bed was comfortable but we had to remake it because they put the blanket under the sheet and it was the roughest, itchiest blanket ever. The tv in our room (#14) was SUPER small (at best 24in) compared to TVs in other rooms (we had friends in other rooms). The bathroom was tiny and there was very little counter space outside the bathroom to get ready. We had breakfast at the new restaurant on site and it was mediocre. Wait staff seemed confused by their own menu. I had a blueberry pancake that was definitely not a blueberry pancake. Very dry and not flavorful at all. Friends asked for a mimosa and the waiter said they didn’t have that, but champagne and orange juice were listed on the menu. The friend explained how to make it and then they did. Overall, the room served its purpose for a one night stay before going to our actual accommodations. I would not stay longer than that for a vacation.

Great room, only thing that let it down was that it was next to the kitchen extractor fans which went on between 6,30 and 7 each morning and went off about 18.30, wasn’t a problem as I didn’t spend that much time in the room, very noisy neighbours got 2 nights but again not really the hotels fault, great little cafe for breakfast and lunches shame it wasn’t open later (food closed at 6 drinks 6.30) Would definitely stay here again x

The service was good checking in. We had our own private entrance from the outside which was nice. The pool was clean and beautiful for swimming. The noise at the end of the night, late night as if they were drilling was very annoying. Breakfast is not recommended. They had a few options on their menu but it took forever to come out and half way through our wait we were told half of our items were not available. When the bill came they did not take off what we didn’t eat. The room service came every other day which was also nice. Anytime we needed towels of any sort whether for the beach or the room the staff was accommodating.

Melbourne Inn is an excellent hotel. It was comfortable, clean, relaxing, convenient, memorable, and welcoming. We will definitely make it our accommodation of choice on our next visit.
