Penthouse am Meer: Luxusblick, Klimaanlage & Parkplatz!

Loved the condo. Very nice and spacious. Enjoyed the views and sunsets were amazing from the balcony. I read the reviews ahead and made sure I got a smaller rental car. I thought I was a master at parking until the last 2 days when I had another car next to me! It is a tight fit but very nice to have a garage space. Kitchen was great and had everything I needed. Thanks for a great stay!

We booked this lovely apartment after another fell through at the last minute. I am so thankful we found it. While it definitely is expensive, the space and view made it worth it. Our two teens needed their space after being couped up in one cruise cabin! The place is large and perfect for families. We loved the a/c. 2 of our family members are always warm. While we would have loved to have lowered the a/c temp beyond 72, the multiple floor fans helped keep them cool. The view and location are great! We watched surfers and dolphins in the morning. I can imagine the sunsets are amazing from the balcony. We didn\'t get to see one with the "June Gloom" being a reality. The home is right next to Belmont Park, which was a huge plus for families. Easily walkable in 5 minutes. My only issue, which isn\'t a management issue, but more of a "know before you go" thing, is the garage. We shared the garage with 3 other SUV\'s. It made parking really tricky and stressful. Have someone guide you in.

We enjoyed everything about the stay here at this beautiful penthouse apartment. The bedrooms are spacious, the beds comfy, everything was clean, the kitchen very well stocked, the views fantastic. The only downside was the elevator, which doesn’t work, and getting heavy suitcases up three flights of stairs was a challenge for us.

Our stay at this home was awesome! We did not want to leave the place. The front doors open up wide and let the cool breeze come though. The only thing that was unfortunate is that the elevator was not working, but I was able to carry our heavy bags up the stairs individually. But we were really happy with this home and location. i will definatly recomend it to friends and family.

Everything was wonderful except the elevator was not working and it was one of the reasons we rented it. It was down the entire trip and based on discussions with another tenant it’s rarely working. Gets fixed, then breaks and takes weeks to get repaired. This is an HOA issue we understand but would have been nice to know ahead of time the elevator is frequently not working. We had an ac issue on arrival and it was handled immediately. Support was excellent the whole trip for any issues and questions. If an elevator is not a must this is a phenomenal rental and highly recommended.

Condo is perfect size, furnished well and clean. You can people watch and see dolphins from the balcony as well as the glassed tv room, walking distance to markets, parks, restaurants and bars. Tandem parking is a plus but our Tundra extended cab took up the extra foot we needed for the second vehicle we took so we had to park that one elsewhere. We will be back (with two CRVS) as this condo met all our needs and then some.

The location of the property and view of the ocean were great. However, this is unit is on the 3rd floor and in the listing there is an elevator. When signing the agreement it states they are not responsible if the elevator is not working at the time of your stay. This makes sense for annual maintenance and repairs but when we arrive we find out the elevator has been abandoned and that this listing has been told to take the elevator off their listing. I brought my 75 year old in laws with mobility issues and would have never rented this place if I knew that there was no elevator. Being deceived is what frustrates the most.

Great stay. We really enjoyed this condo. Our Expedition Max fit in the garage perfectly. Very long space!

The view was wonderful. The location was great. The setup on the Penthouse was setup perfect for our Family. The garage was wonderful. The first night was hectic. The heater was not working and it got chilly in the evenings. The locks on the kitchen sliding glass door and the bunk bedroom did not lock, felt unsafe. The furniture in the living room area had legs bent didn't feel safe sitting on them. The area inside was very dusty. The floors were sandy and gritty. Sweeped the floor and oh my. Called and they responded fast. Brought us heaters on the first night and TV remote. Second night they came and fixed the legs on the furniture and fixed the HVAC. Definitely needed more bath towels for my size of family. Despite all that was wrong we had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the front window view of the beach and sunset! The property was newly remodeled, clean and well-kept. The beach was so close that our kids went barefoot most of the time. Any questions I had, I received a quick answer. Loved our vacation and hope to return soon!

Enjoyed our stay with 1.5yr old. Great views. Property mgr is highly responsive and great. Great location. There were some ants on the floor by windows upon arrival but after calling mgmt, they came out immediately. AC unit didn’t get super cool, which was sort of annoying given the price. Listing mentioned it had high chair but it did not have that. Interior of rental is nice. Expensive but overall a good trip. Very walkable location. No beach toys or chairs etc but to be fair we’re not advertised.

The rental was right in the beach with an amazing view. It was clean, ready on time, and easy to check-in. There were also sand toys and chairs to use. It was easy walking distance to lots of restaurants.

Location is a little noisy. Condo has great views of ocean, loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets. Very comfortable, could use a little updating but would definitely stay here again.

We stayed from December 26th to December 31st. The view of the ocean from the living room and balcony was AMAZING, and being from the Midwest, we were all mesmerized watching the waves. This VRBO was spacious, and our party of 6 adults were able to hang out together in the living room/kitchen, or have some introvert time in the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and all six of us (18 years old to 83 years old) commented on how well we slept. In addition to enjoying walks along the beach, we were also about 20 minutes away from the zoo, the Midway Museum, etc. We rented a car-a Chrysler Pacifica which was difficult for me to park in the garage, but my brother handled that duty just fine! I highly recommend this property, and we would love to stay there again some time in the future!

Amazing location - I thought it would be loud with the proximity to Belmont Park and fireworks - the sound insulation was fantastic - slept like a baby - great place, great communication, highly recommend! Stayed with my wife, 14, 12, and 9 year old!

We came for our son’s graduation in San Diego. We are a large family of six people, and we were very comfortable.Plenty of bedrooms and spaces.Our view overlooking the sand and the ocean was amazing!

We stayed a month at this property and overall had a great experience. The location is excellent...a few steps from the beach. It is close to Belmont Park which isn't too busy in the winter, but does mean there is a little more walking and gathering traffic around. We liked the energy and the cute restaurants and coffee shops nearby. We did have a couple of issues with the property but Drift responded immediately. This property is third floor, but we viewed the steps as part of our workout each day. I highly recommend and would stay here again for sure.

Wonderful location! We rally enjoyed pur stay. Property Manager was extremely helpful and was always available for any questions. Would definitely recommend this property.

The space was wonderful for our family of 5, plus our teenage nephew. Beautiful view of the ocean & Mission Beach, nicely appointed. Parking is a little tight, but this is the beach so it's expected--it's nice having a dedicated garage. Fantastic communication with the property managers. We arrived to a broken curtain rod and it was fixed within a couple of hours. They checked on us a couple of times throughout our stay and they were very nice and helpful. Definitely happy with their service!

We stayed here as a family and loved it! The communication from the property manager was excellent and they set proper expectations so we knew what to pack. We used the coffee maker, beach chairs, umbrella, football and beach towels. They also provide portable heaters (great for the evenings) and fans. The location was really great. The proximity to restaurants and rides/mini golf was a plus! Lastly, my daughter left some birthday gifts and the property manager texted me to let me know, and sent them back promptly. There was a fee involved, but we didnt mind. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time I stayed here - the previous under the management of 710BR and this time under Vacasa. My previous rating was higher. The really big problem: this is a third floor rental and the elevator is now either broken…or simply not use. That is a major issue unless you have a Sherpa or a bunch of kids to lug your luggage and your groceries for the week up the steep little staircase that is now the only way up. For older folks, this is no longer a good rental…even my 35 year old step-daughter and my 40 something stepson was none too pleased with it. I immediately called Vacasa upon arrival to tell them about the elevator issue…and got someone in a call center somewhere in the world, who said they’d contact their San Diego Team. This is no longer under local management. Capitalize that and underline it. We didn’t hear anything about the elevator from anyone at Vacasa our entire stay. Big problem here that will certainly result in our looking elsewhere from now on. You don’t pay premium prices for big issues and zero customer service.\r \r The place itself is nice, pretty well maintained and has a great location. They’ve added some better kitchenware since our last time and corrected some plumbing issues. The TV situation is a bit odd - the do YouTube TV for live stuff…and they really aren’t very good about instructions for it…the Internet is known for going out about once a day, but it comes back if you reboot. The third bedroom is three sets of bunk beds, good for little kids but pretty terrible for adults. The mattresses everywhere could use some updating. Without the fantastic location, you’d pretty much say “meh” and there are lots of places with great locations in this area.

Beautiful place in a great location along the boardwalk in Mission Beach. Wish we could have stayed longer than a long weekend. Surprisingly quiet considering its location in on the boardwalk. The instructions given were very clear and helpful which helped us out a lot since our travel was delayed by several hours and we did not get to the place until around 1:00 a.m.
