From the front door person Christopher to the concierge, bartenders and wait staff- the Gatsby Athens was an impeccable stay! We loved every minute. We had live music each night we stayed- delicious breakfast and fantastics cocktails. It is centrally located within walking distance to the plaka, the parliament and the national gardens. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

The hotel, amenities, service and dining are excellent - our only issue was the noise at night from the in-house lobby/open area dining DJ going on until 12midnight. We had a corner room - and the noise was very disruptive to sleeping comfort and experience. We understand the intent to offer a hip and vibrant dining/nightclub space to guests and outside customers - but the noise for a hotel full of upscale/expensive rooms is not in-line with expectations.

We arrived in Athens exhausted from a sleepless overnight flight. Instead of sleeping, we struggled to get any rest because the hotel’s bar have VERY LOUD AMPLIFIED singing going until midnight every night. The room has little sound insulation. After two lousy nights, we checked out a day early and found a quiet hotel in Athens. To the manager’s credit, she refunded the prepaid amount for the final night without being asked to do so.

Really fantastic warmth and service. Great location. Wonderful food and bar. Only possible downside is Athens is a late night city and as such you may need earplugs to sleep!

Great boutique hotel within walking distance of many sites, restaurants, shops, etc. Good breakfast included. Unfortunately, the bar/restaurant plays loud, thumping dance music until 11:30 so if sleep is important then this may not be the hotel for you. Also, no gym in building (under renovation).

This hotel is really a gem! Immaculate, welcoming, helpful, quiet, except when we went down to dinner and there was live music. So fun! We would definitely stay there again, if we are ever back in Athens. Fantastic breakfast, too. The perfect place to stay in Athens!

Great Hotel near the Acropolis. Very poliite staff who spoke good English and went out of their way to help. Room was impeccable. The lobby and hallways are well decorated while the room was normal-pleasant and had complimentary slippers, water, usb, mini fridge, tv with a few channels in each main language, bathroom anenities, batlhrobes, safe, lots of pillows, a huge bed, classic phone, etc. They try to create a trendy atmosphere and there's loud courtyard music (with some smoke wafting up too) til at least 11pm. However, closing the windows helped a lot. Elevator was good. Complimentary breakfast was unexpectedly excellent, diverse, abundant and open until noon. They even had gluten free toast for our allergy friend. The roof patio has a small view of the Acropolis and a fireplace but we didnt attend any later socializing up there (we forgot to check the gym so I dont know). The hotel is in a good spot, 10 minute walk to :Acropolis, a restaurant zone, subway from airport, near a modern shopping area and the Plaka area. The hotel was safe, the streets seemed crime-safe too, just watch for crazy scooters or pickpickets in any tourist areas. The Gatsby was so worth it and superb staff, I'd definitely go back there. PS: dont worry, its not some neo-graffiti-hipster venue, its just a really nice hotel.

Surprising nice discovery as a hotel. Very cool atmosphere and great food in the restaurant. Music is too loud and our room was on first floor and that is what we heard late into the night while trying to sleep.

Truly a remarkable experience! Starting with looks: the hotel is dazzling. So much marble everywhere! The staff is truly splendid: kind, patient and extremely helpful. You feel that they're truly happy you've come. The breakfast is delicious and rich, with great variaty. The place is top notch clean. The staff has come in twice a day, so the room always feels fresh. The AC was working perfectly and the bath was comfy. Overall, one of the best city hotels we've had the chance to experience :)

The hotel is in a great location, the breakfast was delicious everyday and the people serving the breakfast is very kind. The room was clean and it has smart light settings. The housekeepers are excellent. The bed was always made, even in the middle of the day. You have the option to set the room to don’t disturb too. The hotel gives you bottles of water and keep refilling it. The location is the best part because you can go walking to all the tourist areas, shopping and dinning. It is in a busy area, it can be noisy at night but it gets quiet after 11-12pm . Overall, the stay was great, everyone was very kind. It has the best orange juice and coffee

We spent three nights at Gatsby Athens. It’s a brand new renovated hotel in an upcoming neighborhood. It’s a boutique hotel with a full vibrant bar with live music. Rooms are large and clean with very large and comfortable bed. Bathroom is modern and equipped with all modern fixtures. Shower is separated from sink and toilet which is a plus for sharing. Their breakfast was the highlight of ours stay. Very delicious egg choices and healthy plates. Overall Gatsby Athens is an excellent choice for staying in Athens. Be aware that this hotel is in an urban center of town so during the weekends surrounding streets are busy and loud. It’s walkable to all historical sites like Acropolis and vibrant Plaka area that all restaurants, bars and shopping are located

This boutique hotel is one of the nicest we've stayed in. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless with comfortable bed and soft towels. The restaurant is lovely, food delicious. Breakfast comes with the room each morning, great choices and again, delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel, we'll definitely stay here again next visit to Athens. Oh, and they will arrange for a driver to pick you up at the airport and also take you to the cruise ship, for a reasonable cost. Good value...excellent location, everything walkable.

Great boutique hotel beautifully decorated with spacious rooms , very comfortable beds and pillows and excellent service. Located on a side street which is very conveniently located in heart of Athens , we had dinner at the restaurant which was also excellent!

As with all the best hotels we have stayed in what really matters is the staff and the Gatsby has some of the best we have ever encountered. From the delightful reception team to the polite, efficient housekeeping team all were fantastic. Special mention goes goes to the Geco staff especially the lovely Stavros and the bar team, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the rooms, while small, are wonderful. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. The only small issue was the noise from the bar opposite was quite loud, luckily we are not in the habit of going to bed early and if we had been on a higher floor it may have been less of a problem. Just want to say again how wonderful the staff are! Highly recommended.

Everything about the stay was great, except the room size was very small and lacked ANYWHERE to sit your stuff. No dresser, shelves, or even counterspce in the bathroom. We loved the staff, the bed, the shower, and adjacent was excellent. Nothing not to like. Just fine for 1 night but not for more.

Unfortunately, waste of money. I informed the hotel that I will be late by 30 minutes for my table reservation and they confirmed with me that the table is there, but once I arrive the host asks me to wait on the bar for more than one hour, . Room was super small and extremely loud music although I mentioned to them that I need a quiet room since I will be staying in the room for only 6 hours, no one cared. Very basic amenities that a 5 star hotel should have they don’t.

Mixed feelings about Gatsby Hotel. The property is nice and well located and the staff very friendly/helpful. But one thing I really didn’t like is how they ask for tips at checkout. I have never encountered this in any other hotel so Gatsby is probably unique here in a negative way. Am happy to leave tips directly with staff but it’s uncomfortable to be asked to leave a tip right at checkout under the eye of the receptionist and other guests. Just a negative experience. My second issue is the hotel is not good value for money—it’s expensive but not worth the price.

We only had a one night stay post cruise and arrived early. The staff was wonderful in accomodating us with an open room for my elderly father to rest, and in making arrangements for a very nice transport to the airport next morning. We had family staying in two nearby hotels as well, which were more expensive but not as accomodating!

The hotel is charming. It’s in an incredible location walking distance to everything you want to see and do. The hotel staff are exceptional in their friendliness, attention and recommendations. This quirky boutique hotel is very central & convenient to all the main sightseeing attractions. What sets it apart is the staff who are attentive & nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good on their bar menu & all day dining menu as well as the choice of wine. Breakfast was fabulous. Waiter service with a lot of healthy choices. Would stay here again & not hesitate in recommending Gatsby to family & friends. Thank you to Galanis & your wonderful team for making our stay so enjoyable

What a great find The Gatsby was! Brilliant location to walk to all the sights, bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was divine and when we had an early ferry to catch they packed up a breakfast bag for us to take. The Gatsby was perfect for a 2 night stay.
