Got here at 8pm after a day at Alton towers with our 4 year old only to find they had oversold triple rooms and had none left even though that is what we booked. So after some time they put a camp bed at the side of a bed in a double room, offered no compensation ether. The room was dirty and had a misty smell to it. The bin already had tissue in it when we got here so clearly not properly cleaned. Had it not been late and with a 4 year old I would have severed stayed there! Avoid.

Extremely disappointing stay, I arrived at what looked like a derelict building and it didn’t get any better. The place is dirty as is the inside of the rooms. How they can charge £90 per night and be on a booking platform I honest don’t know

I'm guessing the hotel used to be a Premier Inn at some point. They've kept the Premier Inn decor which doesn't look like it's been updated for about 15 years. The room felt shabby but was clean, and the beds were comfy. The pub on site was shut so no breakfast options, but the pub 2min walk down the road is excellent.

Everything was fine. Especially the parking. Just the bathroom was dated and had quite a bit of black mould. A few washes with a reputable mould remover wouldn't go a miss.
