We did like the layout of our room, a Studio King. The housekeeping staff was very courteous and helpful, however, you want an honest review with the good and bad...Our room smelled like wet dog, the lobby and dining area floors were so sticky that your shoes made an obnoxious amount of noise, the breakfast staff had to constantly be told that there was no utensils and coffee. The breakfast choices were ok. Most front desk staff made no effort to greet you when you walked through the lobby area unless they were over the age of 30. The pool was freezing!!! So what if it is the largest lap pool, it's too cold to use. There you have it.

I use some PTO at the beach every year. I've stayed at a few places but this was by far the best. Every person I interacted with, who earns their living there was friendly, went above and beyond. Great location for not being tied down to one area - I stayed 3 nights and explored Towers, Henlopen, Rehoboth, etc. All within 15-20 min of hotel. VERY clean, no smells, great breakfast atmosphere. Pool was my favorite - very large/long pool for a hotel. If I were pressed to say anything negative, it would be that I prefer more shower pressure, but honestly that's all I can come up with. Great hotel.

Was given a dirty room. I found a bug and plenty of hair on my bed. It did not look like someone actually cleaned the rooms. I also found crushed-up chips all over the couch. I was given another room with candy nerds spilled all over the couch and huge blood stains on my sheet. I asked for new sheets and was given one sheet for two beds. For all the good reviews, I was expecting a decent hotel—a hotel where I could lie down and relax after a long commute. Don’t let the nice pics fool you. I saw another guest upset about a pool of water coming from the AC unit. I spent a good chunk of one day just trying to get settled in. We work too hard to give our money to hotels that don’t value their guests, and I am not usually the one to complain. I will never go back. Housekeeping is also NOT on-site.

Pro: 1. There are rooms with full-size refrigerators and kitchens with a stove top. 2. Property is 15-min drive from beach and around decent takeout if needed. 3. The pool is nice. 4. Hotel staff are friendly Cons: 1. The couch in the room along with ottomans are very stained. We put a sheet over it and that made a bit better to sit on. This could be from people or dogs as all the rooms are dog friendly. 2. There was droplets of what looked like blood on the sheet on the bed. It surprised me the bed was made because where the stain was clearly visible. 3. The 1 pot and 1 pan provided were scratched to the point I would consider unusable given it was at one point a non stick pan. The can opener was rusted and had food stuck on it. 4. Our room came with express service for cleaning which meant from what I saw that the beds were made, fresh towels were provided, and toiletries. But the floor was not vacuumed and the tops of counters were not wiped down.

There was mold in my shower and they didn't offer any accommodations. They told me the mold isn't dangerous. I received a partial refund because I stayed on night even though when I complained day one, they didn't offer me a full refund for canceling.

The hotel itself is very nice, but our experience was mixed. We arrived at 4:15, only to be told our room wasn’t ready. The front desk assured us it would just be five minutes and that by the time we got our belongings from the car, our key would be available. Instead, we ended up waiting in the lobby for 90 minutes. At 5:30, we were finally told a room was ready. When we got to the room, we found only two sets of towels, despite the reservation clearly noting a family of four. When we asked, we were told we had to return to the desk ourselves to retrieve additional towels—an inconvenience after already waiting so long to check in. The suite also had a maintenance issue: the large dresser in the bedroom had a drawer that wouldn’t stay closed. No matter how many times we shut it, it would drift open again. My son bumped into it several times, which was frustrating and could have been unsafe. That said, the housekeeping staff and the gentleman at the front desk were very kind and professional. The issue wasn’t with their courtesy but with the lack of timely turnaround and communication. If the wait was going to be 90 minutes, it would have been much better to communicate that upfront so we could plan accordingly rather than being left hanging. Overall, the hotel is attractive and the staff are friendly, but operational issues around room readiness, communication, and basic amenities made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been

The thermostat in the room would change constantly no matter what we tried. When we arrived the room was a chilly 62º - I set it to 70º but within a few hours it switched back to 62º. This happened both nights no matter what I selected - I tried HOLD and it still would go back to 62º... Very frustrating! Additionally we were put in a handicapped room -which would not be an issue although the shower water ran all over the bathroom floor. We needed to use our towels to sop up the floor - poor design.

The property looked new and clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was robust with a large eating area. Only issue was the walls seemed really thin. Could hear everything happening in the halls. The air conditioning was also odd. It would stay off until the room got uncomfortably stuffy then eventually kick in to the point you were cold.

The entrance door to our room did not close on its own. The TV gave me endless trouble and the cable service was out for hours. There was a leak from the A C unit next to our closet that wet the bottom of two of our back packs

I booked a 1 bedroom hotel room with a separate living room and kitchen, but the one i got was a suite with an open layout, no privacy. I spoke with the reception person and he said the othet room was not working. Well i paid about 100 more to get a bedroom instead of an open layout. He didnt do anything about it, all he did was sign me up for Hyatt loyalty rewards that didnt fix the issue. Not satisfied with this hotel.

The room and location are great! The only downfall was the flashing light of the smoke detector that would flash. Bed was comfortable but pillows were awful. Other than that I would go back.

The room was great.. large, clean, modern and had everything one could need. Only thing missing was a can for recycing. I'm a swimmer and loved the pool... got up to swim early in the morning. Was so peaceful.

I arrived an hour prior to 4pm check in. There was no room available. I waited in the lobby until check in at 4. Our room was not available until 4:30. Making us late for the scheduled plans we had at 5pm. Breakfast selections were laid out nicely but very limited. Staff at breakfast was very kind and helpful. Check in staff didn’t seem to care too much about the issue we experienced. They did approve the late check out I requested, but didn’t use. Labeled as a “Classic Luxury” Hotel brand, it left much common courtesy, let alone luxury to be desired. Much better service at Traditional Upper Upscale hotels in previous travels. This hotel left me with no desire to spend my money here again. Live and learn. 🙂

The hotel itself is very nice, but our experience was mixed. We arrived at 4:15, only to be told our room wasn’t ready. The front desk assured us it would just be five minutes and that by the time we got our belongings from the car, our key would be available. Instead, we ended up waiting in the lobby for 90 minutes. At 5:30, we were finally told a room was ready. When we got to the room, we found only two sets of towels, despite the reservation clearly noting a family of four. When we asked, we were told we had to return to the desk ourselves to retrieve additional towels—an inconvenience after already waiting so long to check in. The suite also had a maintenance issue: the large dresser in the bedroom had a drawer that wouldn’t stay closed. No matter how many times we shut it, it would drift open again. My son bumped into it several times, which was frustrating and could have been unsafe. That said, the housekeeping staff and the gentleman at the front desk were very kind and professional. The issue wasn’t with their courtesy but with the lack of timely turnaround and communication. If the wait was going to be 90 minutes, it would have been much better to communicate that upfront so we could plan accordingly rather than being left hanging. Overall, the hotel is attractive and the staff are friendly, but operational issues around room readiness, communication, and basic amenities made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been

We arrived after taking the Autotrain to Lorton. Tired, weary travelers. We were greeted by Jaimie who was awesome and Dion at the bar for our dinner. Service was wonderful and Jaimie made us feel as if we were there regularly. She is a gem and a hardworker. The food was good and the beer was cold! Our room was very comfy and quiet. Thank you all.

Staff could not provide a working key to us upon check in. After three trips back and forth she let us in our room with her master key. She said they were full and couldn't give us a room with a working key. The toilet would not flush properly and we were given a plunger. Oddly there was a drawer right by the bathroom door that would not stay closed. At checkout, we explained our issues and I was offered a membership to the points system and 50,000 points which would give us a free night in the future. The membership came and it had only 10,000 points. I am very disappointed.

Everyone on the team went out of their way to make gestures of hospitality!! Big and small! Traveling with 2 little ones is often challenging enough…their team made you feel supported and welcomed with every encounter! From someone who works in hospitality…very impressed and appreciated!

The property was nice, the area was nice, but the Saturday night we stay was horrible based on the lack of control the staff had in dealing with the large group partying out of control, yelling and slamming doors which prevented people from going to sleep. The staff would not move our room nor did they comprehend why we were complaining about the noise. The morning staff commented about the multiple customer complains from the night before.

This hotel is very reasonable. Check in and service were great. Just note that the location is off a busy highway and not the most pleasant view, nor are you in walking distance to anything. However, with a car it’s central to get to points of interest and closest to Lewes beach and town that is wonderful.

Great location, not too far from Rehoboth and Lewes. Walking distance to Nicola Pizza. Staff was helpful and courteous, included breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of parking.

A fine and comfortable place to stay convenient to the ferry. Very good value for the money. Good breakfast. The signage isn’t prominent, so I had a little trouble finding it; be alert as you get near.

Just 10 minutes from Rehoboth beach, this hotel was everything we needed plus more. Easy checkin with a complimentary upgrade, huge pool, beautiful patio complete with grills, friendly service and for a highlight; Nicholas pizza right in its backyard! This will be our go-to for when we’re back throughout the year!

Great hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and inviting. Breakfast was delicious; great variety and lots of it from cereals to fruit and yogurt to toast and bagels and scrambled eggs and sausages. Dining room was attractive and comfortable.The room was clean as new, although we could have used more towels for two people. It was one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed at except for a noisy group who briefly occupied the adjoining room. Room temperature easy to adjust, quiet.

Overall the experience was good. One thing which I didn't like at all was the breakfast. We stayed there for 2 nights and on both the days there ran out of some of the breakfast items. This was a paid meal.

Every single thing about the stay was great, until it was time for the free breakfast. My kids love going to get breakfast at a hotel, but our experience here was not great. Breakfast was to be served until 0930, and we arrived around 0820. Once we started to see what was available to eat, one female staff member started telling everyone that breakfast was being taken away because there were no clean utensils. We asked if they could be washed, but she just said, “no”. Then she proceeded to take everything out of the breakfast area, including fruit, muffins, bread, cereal, etc…some of those things do not need utensils. A lot of people were upset, but that staff member didn’t care.

Our room was perfect. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great--hot and cold selections. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfectly located to go to Rehoboth or Lewes.

Perfect getaway for my wife and me. Just off the beaten path with all the places we wanted to see within 15 minutes of each other. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices, great coffee bar brewed all day. Our room was very clean and setup very well. Lots of parking and well lit. Felt safe the whole time. Check out Savanah beach and the shopping. Cool town with a ton of history behind it. We will be back for sure and would recommend to friends and family. thank you !!

The suites are spacious, well-designed and sparkling clean. The beds are comfy. Breakfast buffet is a cut above standard. I especially appreciated the good-sized pool. My only disappointment was the hotel is crowded into a commercial area, and nowhere near the shore. Still, once inside, it’s all good. Highly recommend

Hotel is dog friendly. The night we stayed there were dogs in the next room and across hall from our room. Don’t get me wrong - we love dogs…but….not barking…and scratching at night. Not sure how this gets addressed, but it was a bit much. Also we stayed in handicap accessible room. The only one available when I booked. Bathroom door weighed a ton. Not sure how a handicapped person might have moved it. But the door had a piece of exposed metal on the handle, and I nearly cut myself. Told the front desk when we checked out. Otherwise the hotel was doable. Staff VERY nice
