The \"Roost.\" A Large 2 Bedroom - Diner Themed Stay

Overall, for why we were there was fine. Needs some serious updating. Pictures made it look 100x's better than in person. Very dark & smelled of stale smoke & an over abundance of cleaning chemicals. Shower could use a liner to avoid water on the floor. Concept was cool, but needs some loving.

We stayed for one night. It was very clean inside. The outside lacked attention with thick dirt on the windows, mildew on awnings, and some inappropriate things written on the thick dirt on the windows that our kids pointed out. Spiderwebs on the doorframe were not welcoming. Location was unimpressive- not unsafe, not desirable. Inside was very cute, set up like a diner, first floor apt. Housekeeping was easy to reach, beds very comfortable. Our biggest complaint was the overpowering scent. It was like trying to breathe inside a plug-in and diffuser combined. Because there are no windows that open, it was incredibly difficult to breathe. I put on all the fans, the ACs, the mini split fan to try and reduce the the smell, but honestly it was hard to sleep, I was choking through the perfume scent all night and we left at 7 am to get out as soon as possible to breathe some fresh air. If the owner can get that under control, I would recommend.
