The Texas Heritage House

I wanted to love this place. We rented the house for a little league nationals tournament with another family. The house itself is beautiful and unique. It is a historic home that comes with historic charm. The house was clean. No wash rags, but did have towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Unfortunately upon entering I caught an immediate smell of mold. Upon inspection there was visible mold around the air vents in many of the rooms. My family and I couldn’t stay due to our sensitivity. The other members in the party did however. If you’re someone sensitive to mold or mildew, I’d recommend erring on the side of caution and likely looking for another stay. If you’re not, the house may be a fit for you. I do want to give a special shout out to the Host who was fantastic from the beginning. Prompt and kind communication. While the owners would not refund a portion of the stay due to my family not being able to stay the host was kind and gracious and tried to be as helpful as he could. That was appreciated.

Wonderful home away from home. Large with tons of room. Beautiful kitchen! Very clean. And the pool is perfect. Heated in Feb and family loved!

Everything was perfect

Easy check in and check out. The house is gorgeous! Very historic. Accommodated a large party with ease. The kitchen was to die for! Absolutely gorgeous!

Our family group loved the house and the local Bryan people were impressed with the old home in a historic neighborhood.
