Otisco Lake Getaway

Excellent getaway, we had a wonderful stay

House was extremely neat and had lots of towels and supplies except for body soap for shower. Home was cozy and warm on some cool fall evenings. House was pet friendly and had beautiful views from one of the bedrooms. Nice hosts who communicated prior to our stay. Thank you for a romantic weekend away!

Overall, our stay was good. However, there were some things missed when the house was cleaned from the previous visitors. There was rotting food left inside the oven which I had to remove and clean. The gas grill was nice to have, but we could only cook on one side of it as the grill grates were rusty.

Great cottage near the southern tip of Otisco lake, it's a little south of the causeway that divides the lake so there are generally calmer waters. We had some problems with bees the first night or two, but once we figured out where they were coming from, the owners were very responsive and got an exterminator out right away. Turns out the buggers were actually in the wall, behind the siding, but they were taken care of. Overall a great place that was just right for 5 of us. One thing to note is that the refrigerator is not quite full size. I'm not sure if we missed that in the listing, but we brought a bunch of food for the week, and then had to get creative with storing it in coolers and ice. It all worked out.We're generally the type of people that like to move around and try different spots, but if we do come back, no hesitation about re-booking with this property. The house was clean and everything 6 people could use, the ac kept the two bedrooms nice and cool(very hot week)
