Despite being an old building it’s very decent and worth the spend when you get at a good price. Stay here for Business regularly. The only downside is guests have to pay £5 for each night for parking so if you are staying longer it will cost quite a lot.

We arrived early but they were more than accommodating to see if our room was ready for us and after logging in my car reg on the parking system and noticed I was driving a Dodge charger the guy on the front desk gave us a free upgrade in room as a complimentary offer no extra charge. Also the restaurant steakhouse food is out of this work cooked to perfection

Hotel restaurant was a bit strange, rap music playing in the background, sports bar in the day but people trying to have afternoon tea...think it needs to be one or the other. Rooms are being update and bathroom was fine but the room itself was absolutely freezing and didnt warm up until day 2, carpet was old and worn and room was on a slant. Staff friendly and nice and everything was clean.

Arrived at hotel early expecting to be able to park and check in later on after football game. To my pleasant surprise I was allowed to check in early, at 11:30 which was a great bonus. Hotel is very dated with creaking stairs but room itself was acceptable with a very smart tv!

Building work right outside the property on the road making it difficult to see where to enter for the car park. Restaurant is dated and didn’t look appealing so we opted to eat elsewhere. Staff don’t speak English very well either …

I was made to pay for parking yet everyone else I was with didn’t. We were told our rooms were giving free upgrades but the rooms were definitely very run down. The overall experience was ok, drinks were very expensive. Check in was easy and straightforward. But I was told free parking but then was the only one made to pay

Would stay again in the main hotel, staff were outstanding! Breakfast was on point! Many parking spaces but I feel there shouldn’t be a charge as already the hotel is expensive. For a first timer it was a bit creepy setting inside and dark however it’s very beautiful staircase for taking pictures. There is also the option to stay in small cottage type room behind the hotel but it did not look the best and the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade which we were grateful for. No views, a lot of site work going on around the area but it’s close to most places to visit.

A lot of money for not a lot. The room was second class and smells of damp. The furniture and condition of the room is poor in bedsit status. The bathroom was nearly functional. The staff were very pleasant people to talk to. Breakfast was adequate. I will never return to this venue

The outside miss sells the inside which is rather immaculate and beautiful and clean. The benches outside don’t look Ohio’s and truly representative of the inside and the entrance through reception.

Awful place to stay, service just as bad as the hotel. Room wasn’t clean, pen marks on the sheets, hairs in the shower, marks all over the walls. Beds are hard, and we were given a ‘free upgrade’ but that then meant we were in a room which backed on to a huge pipe that I can only assume was the heating system. At 6am this started up and that was our wake up call as it made the most horrendous noise. Walls were paper thin and we could hear people in the corridors until late into the night. We didn’t even bother staying for breakfast, but on checkout after waiting for a staff member to be found we did raise our issues. Only to be told we could expect a call in a couple of hours for a manager to discuss. Of course no call. We were also advised by the first member of staff to pay for parking in the morning, yet the next in the morning told us not to worry about paying, so really hope we don’t get a fine through the post but who knows. Although this wasn’t a cheap stay, my advise would be pay the slightly higher price and stay elsewhere.

Stayed in room 10 and the a/c that also works as heating was blowing dust. Woke up after 3 hours of sleep with scratchy throat. All personal belongings covered with layer of dust. Simply horrible stay.

First of all I'll start by saying the service was good and the shower was amazing but the room itself is a health hazard. The room hadn't been cleaned, and if it did it wasn't to any standard. The dust was thick enough to write my name in it, there was no face cloths provided, the bare minimum condiments were provided and didn't cover out stay (1 night) and that's not the worst of it. The black mold growing around the window and on the full wall of brick underneath is dangerous, the room smells damp as soon as you open the door. The netting at the window also had a fair amount of black mold. This is not suitable for anyone to stay in until it's been sort. I don't usually leave an review at all but this needs to be sorted ASAP

The building is not as advertised, looks very run down and scabby on the outside and the photos provided are definitely mock ups rather than actual photos. No real signs or directions to reception on arrival, it's not clear which of the front doors you're meant to go through. No proper reception area to sit to wait to check in as it pairs with the restaurant. Room was not as advertised, very small, very worn down and dated, was downstairs for some reason, had a tiny window and was cold despite the heating being on. Bathroom had someone's fake lashes on the floor despite the room being "cleaned" before check in. Restaurant was fine for dinner, food was alright but service was pretty bad, staff not really paying attention to customers and long waits on drinks and bill despite it not being busy. Staff on reception were nice and tentative but that's about the only good thing about the place. Would stay elsewhere.

Stayed in the cottage area of the hotel in a separate building. The place was uncomfortably warm and had to open all the windows even during the night. Which, being so close to a tram line was incredible noisy. Walls were paper thin and could hear other guests in rooms adjacent. Staff were lovely and friendly

ok. room let’s huge light in from street so not dark! no heating in bathroom. bed was awful. lumpy mattress cheap wafer thin pillows and cheap sheets. worst part of hotel was this bed in room 002! shower worked lovely but dead cold in bathroom with heavy condensation on window. spoke with management. booked through hotel.com 2 rooms but now have 3 room charges on card!! being investigated.

Stayed here for 2 nights as it was close to family members that we were visiting (otherwise I would never have considered choosing this hotel / location). The room was nothing like the pictures, we booked a cottage room but ended up with a windowless dungeon in the basement with no natural light. The walls were paper thin and we were kept up till the early hours of the morning by a large family above us, and then woken up early by the same family, resulting in us only getting 3 hours of sleep. The double bed is 2 beds pushed together, incredibly uncomfortable mattresses where you can feel the springs and cheap, thin duvet covers that don’t stretch over the width of the bed. I would avoid this hotel altogether!

The soundproofing in this hotel was horrible, can easily listened what your neighbours was doing. Also, it’s located next to the metrolink and it might have some disturbances.
The soundproofing in this hotel was horrible, can easily listened what your neighbours was doing. Also, it’s located next to the metrolink and it might have some disturbances.

Exceptionally polite courteous and professional staff. We had the family room - the Grand Suite which was very spacious and well appointed with a good bathroom with new fixtures and fittings. Only downside was the noise insulation with the adjoining room i.e. we heard the occupants next door early the next morning. Otherwise good value for money.

I’m not sure why the room was described as a king suite? The word suite is very misleading especially as I paid £160 for a room with basically just 2 large beds in it? No chair dressing table etc…. Lighting very poor one bedside light was broken and hanging upside down, no plug sockets near the 1 mirror in the room to do your hair but the lighting was so bad you can’t see yourself in it anyway! The tea and coffee making facilities very basic with no decaf options, and no plug socket next to the kettle? So you have to take the kettle off the stand and put it at the side of your bed to boil it!! The bathroom was ok but the sink is tiny so you struggle to get the kettle in there to actually fill it up? Overall the room is very plain and bare and basic and I was very disappointed with it for the price that I paid. I have paid less in Manchester and stayed in much better… I picked here because I needed parking which I had to pay an extra £5 for and the car park isn’t great and needs attention. It’s not worth the money

The building is not as advertised, looks very run down and scabby on the outside and the photos provided are definitely mock ups rather than actual photos. No real signs or directions to reception on arrival, it's not clear which of the front doors you're meant to go through. No proper reception area to sit to wait to check in as it pairs with the restaurant. Room was not as advertised, very small, very worn down and dated, was downstairs for some reason, had a tiny window and was cold despite the heating being on. Bathroom had someone's fake lashes on the floor despite the room being "cleaned" before check in. Restaurant was fine for dinner, food was alright but service was pretty bad, staff not really paying attention to customers and long waits on drinks and bill despite it not being busy. Great hotel, stayed here before when we go to watch the cricket. Handy having the restaurant but we were too late to use it, getting back at 21.40 after the Hundreds game. Very spacious room, with very comfy bed.

The excellent rating is for wonderful reception staff. My room wasn't ready at check-in time but they explained why (outwith their control) and offered complimentary drink/food discount etc. which was appreciated but not required. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely staff, very polite and hard working. A credit to the hotel. Got there early as we were going to Cricket and left the car there. With forethought we should have booked for dinner as when we got back couldn’t get us in. Usually all hotels we stay in ask if you want a table which is helpful. We were rushing to get to Cricket so never thought. Everything else room facilities were good. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as it was buffet which usually suits us but Sausages were cold and the rest tepid.

I was incredibly disappointed by the service of this hotel. I arrived 45mins after the advertised checkout time. I was visiting for an black tie event so needed to get ready in my room and leave by 5pm. On arrival I was told my room was not ready and would be cleaned in 15 minutes. An hour an a half goes by in which I am forced to get ready for this event in the hotel lobby, using the poor restaurant toilet to get changed in. My room was finally ready by 5pm but I had to leave so I threw in my suitcases and left. At no point was I offered an alternative room to use, and when asked if I could at least have a free drink from the restaurant whilst I waited I was refused. I cannot honestly rate the rest of the facilities because other than sleeping in the bed for 4 hours, I didn't get to use a single one. There also was no information given to be about the hotels facilities or even any information within the room about any. Upon discussing this issue via the booking platform the hotel apparently said I was lucky to have been upgraded to a deluxe room...no use if I couldn't use it when I had needed! And the only compensation for this poor stay was a 30% discount offered on my next stay....which there is no way I would be re booking anyway! The location of the hotel is well suited to visiting the local stadiums, and has a tram station right behind it so travel is easy.

Food was good but there us no communication between staff and manager clearly needs getvthus right as our table was reserved but we had no table. The waiters where constantly looking confused and getting orders wrong. But food was worth waiting for. Hitel nice on in side but in a run down area with nothing around it . Clean . Room nice.

Extremely terrible experience started with a long wait till check in . I booked a large room but they placed me in another building saying all rooms are booked and we are sorry had someone check in after me but stayed in the main building. The second building turned out to be the staff building where i couldnt sleep from the staff speaking in hindi loudly and shouting at the corridor . Bathroom wasnot clean and the shower floor had a suspicious brown thing that i opted to wipe . Terrible customer service . Kindly review this property wouldnt pay 10 dollars for a room there

Awful place to stay, service just as bad as the hotel. Room wasn’t clean, pen marks on the sheets, hairs in the shower, marks all over the walls. Beds are hard, and we were given a ‘free upgrade’ but that then meant we were in a room which backed on to a huge pipe that I can only assume was the heating system. At 6am this started up and that was our wake up call as it made the most horrendous noise. Walls were paper thin and we could hear people in the corridors until late into the night. We didn’t even bother staying for breakfast, but on checkout after waiting for a staff member to be found we did raise our issues. Only to be told we could expect a call in a couple of hours for a manager to discuss. Of course no call. We were also advised by the first member of staff to pay for parking in the morning, yet the next in the morning told us not to worry about paying, so really hope we don’t get a fine through the post but who knows. Although this wasn’t a cheap stay, my advise would be pay the slightly higher price and stay elsewhere.

Would stay again in the main hotel, staff were outstanding! Breakfast was on point! Many parking spaces but I feel there shouldn’t be a charge as already the hotel is expensive. For a first timer it was a bit creepy setting inside and dark however it’s very beautiful staircase for taking pictures. There is also the option to stay in small cottage type room behind the hotel but it did not look the best and the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade which we were grateful for. No views, a lot of site work going on around the area but it’s close to most places to visit.

Area was great if you are going old Trafford cricket ground great transport as tram was a 2 minute walk away. However area was very run down and hotel room was okay but damage in bathroom and whole room was actually on a slant. Also staff weren’t very helpful and didn’t seem to understand some things we sent and they kept our case just in a hallway and not in any locked safe room whilst we waited for the train.

We arrived early but they were more than accommodating to see if our room was ready for us and after logging in my car reg on the parking system and noticed I was driving a Dodge charger the guy on the front desk gave us a free upgrade in room as a complimentary offer no extra charge. Also the restaurant steakhouse food is out of this work cooked to perfection

J’avais réservé 2 chambres pour un voyage d’affaires pour mon collègue et moi, un soi-disant cottage room, très sympathique sur les photos et nous nous sommes retrouvés à l’arrière de l’hôtel dans une vieille bâtisse annexe réaménagé avec 4 chambres. Dalle foto che ci sono sul vostro sito Hotels.com sembra un'Italia moderno e molto pulito. Purtroppo arrivando all'hotel e vedendo le stanze , la situazione è completamente diversa, la prima notte ho dormito con i vestiti perché le lenzuola del letto erano sporche e la camera era completamente diversa da quella prenotata . Poi mi hanno spostato, ma il materasso era troppo morbido e si dormiva male, la stanza era più grande ma comunque vecchia e si vedeva. La colazione c'è ma dato che dovrebbe essere una English breakfast, uno si aspettava una colazione con tante scelte invece c'erano le solite cose che uno può trovare in una colazione continentale. L'unico punto positivo, la posizione è strategica

The hotel and area around the hotel were very untidy and not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was a suite and this was clean, spacious and recently modernised. You enter via the restuarant which is not great and you can not book food and drinks to your room, you also have to pay for the car park upon arrival. The hotel is ok and fine for a night to watch the football, but it is not 4 star and more like 2/3 star. If its for business look elswhere.
