The entire reason I booked this trip with my kids was because of the water park. We checked into the hotel. Water park closed!! They said mechanical issues and they expected it to be open the next day. Next day- water park closed!! So that was our stay. I asked for some sort of refund. Denied!! Never, ever again. Do not book this place.

If you're on a very tight budget, fine, otherwise, place needs lots of maintenance and updating. TVs did not work, carpets were not clean, bathtubs were not well maintained, most of the waterpark activities were closed - the only fun we had was the arcade!!! We would not go back !

This is an old property hence the price. The small water park is nice and the indoor pool is big and the hot tub is also big. When I booked I booked two rooms that had big refrigerators in the pictures but both rooms had mini fridge and only one had a microwave. The outside of our building was pretty with a small pond with frogs. I wish the water park was included as it is in other hotels and not a separate pay which is a bit pricey for its size and two of the slides not working for a while.

DON’T BOOK HERE!! Horrible experience from day one. The first room they sent us to had someone occupying it, without the resort’s knowledge. The second room they sent us to didn’t have a working key card scanner on the front entrance. So, that was a security risk being as though anyone can enter the building anytime because the door is always unlocked.The waterpark is not open on weekdays and the pool was closed due to a mechanical issue our first three days of our stay. It smells old and musty in every building on the property. In dire need of renovations. The new owners are not from this country and none of the staff speak proper English so very hard to communicate to resolve any issues. Again DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! Go to Kalahari or Camelback if you want to stay in the area.

H20ooohh's a great family friendly indoor waterpark. There were three four-story slides, but only one was working. Poor giftshop and foods.

I stress if you are going here to call & see of the Water park is open the day that you go. We went on a Mon & Tuesday. Apparently, those days there is no waterpark or open restaurant at the resort. Many places in area close by 10pm, we had to settle for fast food 1st night. NO WATERPARK so disappointed. No info about that on the website or here. We arrived & the young man that checked us in placed us so far away even though he said the place was empty. The room was pleasantly clean inside. NO HOT WATER. Electrical outlets for charging anything that we had were not functioning. Finally found 1 that worked. I told Christine at the front desk at 7:30am that there was NO HOT water. She said no one else complained. I said NO ONE else is occupying rooms near us. You can tell because rooms doors are ajar for cleaning. ALL empty. I also asked for more towels & tp. NOPE. Never got them. When we left at 1pm the maint. man was repairing the hot water heater. I asked if it was in need of repair & he said YES. Christine was wrong. I actually went to the front desk 3 times but no one came until we had to check out. I saw a maid & she spoke no english. I motioned for towels/tp & she motioned to go to the front desk. Umm, I already did. The hot tub jets did not work. Pool needed to be cleaned. I did it. Mini fridge held barely anything or kept it cold. Wish they updated the place because it is so cool. Enjoyed Movie, Bowling & game room. Wish they Updated. I have so many ideas. Contact me.

Amenities weren't all together , water slides were down in waterpark hot tub wasn't working in waterpark . Pool was very nasty jacuzzi in pool area gets didn't work . My room was 5813 tub was nasty has to call twice fir so one to come clean it upon arrival , there was a pocket knife found under bed which indicate the room wasn't cleaned properly . I left way before check out I paid deposit in cash they couldn't locate that I paid in cash manager then came from back and found cash in drawer because the safe was unlocking so someone put cash in a random drawer . Elevators were down . Galway smelled like smoke .

We stayed at the Lodge. The pool and hot tub area had no ventilation, was extremely humid, smelled terrible, and had what appeared to be mold on the walls and ceiling. There was never anyone at the Lodge desk even though they had a sign with the hours that someone was supposed to be there and it is very difficult to get someone on the phone at the town center. WiFi didn’t work for most of our stay. Continental breakfast in the Lodge wasn’t available until the late morning, 3/4 of the amenities/restaurants advertised on the website were not open. When we asked someone at the front desk about this, they stated that they are “seasonal.” It would be nice if the website properly advertised what was available in the Winter when booking. Would not recommend.

The room was not appropriately clean. I could not get the tv work and I had to call to find out how to operate the shades. There were stains on the white bedding and there was a dirty throw pillow on the bed. The bedside table was sticky. I was on the 4th floor and the location was in a remote building. There was no security to get in the building, which did not make me feel safe. There was a bunch of trash in the parking lot. The building did not have a pleasant smell. Not worth the money that I spent.

This property was extremely run down. The walk to our room took two elevators (one which was out of service) and a walk that took 10 minutes to get from the lobby to our room. Some rooms required a further walk and three separate elevators. Brown water came out of the sink and shower. The ice machine was filthy and broken. Vending machines were either empty or broken (charged us and didn't dispense drink). The beds were saggy and the couch was like sitting on cement. Staff was slow and not very friendly. Although it was one of the cheaper options it was way overpriced for accommodations. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Waited an extra 15 minutes because our room was being inspected, only to walk into lots of black dust and spot on the bed. Called the front desk only to be put on hold and sent to voicemail, TWICE. Found a nice maid in the hallway who didn’t speak English, but did help us with getting the bed clean. The bathroom lights were broken, sparking on and off. The porch light didn’t turn on. The bath turn jets were turning on by itself, and then not turning off. This even happened while we were sleeping. No hand soap in the kitchen, and the SMALLEST bottles of care products. Wouldn’t come again for the price.

Beds and pillows were so comfy! The room was stifling when we first arrived but the AC after it was turned on helped. We left shortly and coming back at night, the room was perfect. The hallways were slightly moldy smelling and can be creepy early morning or late night. That said, I would stay again for a night or two (not alone though - my imagination would get the best of me)

My stay here was amazing. I was surprised when I recieved a call from the resort prior to my stay to see if I had any questions. I was delighted with the low cost to stay there and even more delighted with the room. I was upgraded for free from the staff since there were extra rooms available and my room was clean and quiet. I went out of peak season and almost had the building to myself. The room was nice with a smart tv and comfy bed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and even had a dishwasher. I spent the day in Jim Thorpe and came to spend the night. The resort has a lot of things to do that I had no idea about like a bowling alley, arcade and movie theatre! I was surprised to see so much on the property. Be sure to ask for directions though, its a large property and can get confusing quick especially in the dark. My only complaint was that the sofa bed in our room was somewhat uncomfortable, its not a traditional pull out bed but rather some cushions that arrange to make a "bed." That being said a couch bed has never been the pinnacle of sleep comfort and that would not stop me from returning. I will definitely return, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room and attractions were nice and I and my group were very pleased. If you wish to visit I reccomend you call and do a little research as there are nice perks you might not see on the website and you may want to plan your excursion since the resort is a bit remote overall I highly recommend!

Check in line was long and slow moving. Seems many rooms were not ready yet. While our room was ready, I was told the night before when someone called me from the hotel that the room would have 2 beds - not a bed and the dreaded sofa bed. Unfortunately that’s exactly what we got - the sofa bed was the 2nd bed. There were two towels in the entire room. No wash cloths and no smaller hand towels. I also had to find an employee to get a remote for the TV - which worked half the time. The room we had was in a different building from the front desk - but there was no phone in the room to be able to request these items. When I called from my cell phone, someone in California answered and gave me wrong info. The only positive of the stay was the owner of the Hub. He was super friendly and helpful.

First of all, be prepared that they do have a main lodge and 4 different lodges that are located about 1 mile away from the main area. The room was nice and spacious, but there was no coffee maker, nor were there any tea or coffee facilities. Although there was a kitchen, it lacked pots and pans for cooking. AC was not working, Remote control was not working. Everything there is very outdated, and it seems like nobody cares. And one more thing the so-called queen beds are in fact full-size beds.

Our suite was large and nice, but the sofa was like a rock so sitting in the living area was uncomfortable. It was disappointing because the fireplace was lovely. The whole property seems a little dated but the surroundings were very nice.

The story of our 3 night stay is too long to type so I will just post bullet points: We rented 3 rooms total: We went to check in 3 hours after the check in time and our rooms were not ready None of them had towels, one of them had no pillows, it took 24 HOURS and numerous phone calls to get them. Thankfully our other travellers shared theirs Outside of our room for the whole time we stayed there was a pile of dust and debris - apparently the hotel is under renovation and shouldn’t have been rented out. Why advertise it if it’s not available? Numerous times our room keys failed and we had to go all the way to the main check in building to reset them. NO TOILET PAPER IN THE ROOMS One of our rooms had no hot water until our last morning but then it was so hot (with no way to turn down) we couldn’t shower. Our rooms were supposed to be equipped with cups, plates etc - everything needed to make use of the kitchen in the room (which I called about before we arrived) but there was absolutely nothing. Rooms were dusty - not sure why our check in was late as there wasn’t a whole lot of cleaning going on EVERYTIME we went down the main office for something, there was someone else there complaining about similar issues. The staff at the front desk were not adequately trained to assist with these problems. The managers seemed to be “hiding” in the back and not willing to come out to help. No room keys were administered to all guests for the entire weekend. Had to go to the front desk to ask security to open the door. Do not bother calling the front desk because they will not answer. I was also given the wrong room and told to suck it up because that’s all they had available. And expect a half hour line when checking in and checking out. Extremely disappointing hotel. Worst hotel experience ever.

This was a terrible experience, impossible to get a hold of someone at the front desk. When we went to speak to someone at the front desk they tried to accommodate us, we left to the new room, the keys didn’t work, had to drive back got keys, again they didn’t work, drove back then the key worked and the room was filthy, someone was staying in the room. We drove back again! Gave us a new room it accommodated us with the exception that the door to the bathroom didn’t work and didn’t close so Every-time my husband needed to use the restroom I had to get my little girls out of the room. When we woke up on Sunday we woke up to finding 5 roaches roaming around the bathroom.

We got there at 2:00 and it took nearly an hour to get checked in. They said we couldn’t get our room key till after 4:00 (understandable I guess). 4:00 rolls around and it took almost an hour to get our room key because everyone else who checked in early came back at that time. The room was not nearly as updated and clean as the pictures online showed. The ceiling tile in the shower was bowed and about to fall down because of water leak from above room. Told the front desk, maintenance replaced the tile but didn’t fix the leak as it was saturated and about to fall down again less than 4 hours later. Room only came with two towels even though we booked it for 4 people. Try calling the front desk(LOL). No one ever picked up. Drove to the front desk and asked for more towels. Towels never showed up, so had to try to communicate with a nice but non English speaking worker to get more towels. Wall paper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, A/C barely worked, and walls were paper thin. Forgot to mention I heard two separate people in line that their room was given away to someone else and they had no more available rooms. Half of the water park was shut down but still cost $30 per person. Don’t expect to put more than 8 water bottles into the fridge which also barely collapse BTW and expect it to close cause it’s so tiny.

This property was top-notch in its prime, but that is since passed and the facility is in desperate need of renovation. The waterpark and on-site restaurants are only open on the weekends. Maid services only when you check out. The outdoor and indoor pools were in good shape. The field house was OK. The theater movies were 20 years old the bowling alley in arcade. We’re in good shape. The fitness center was also very nice. Staff did the best they could but I felt sorry for them having to try to explain why things weren’t up to expectations by the website. Everyone was nice and when asked, they did attend to requests.

For the Lodge Rooms you need to check-in at the main building Front Desk located at the Town Center. Its not a big deal but you just need to know to go straight to the Town Center and get your key and come back to the Lodge. The Lodge room we stayed in was nice and newly renovated and it had a great view of the Lake. They just need to renovate the common areas in the Lodge and the hallways were cold going to the pool. It has a large pool and hot tub in the Lodge. The sauna was out of order while we were there.

The employees were very friendly. The accommodations were clean, both the main Town Center and our room. The scenery was beautiful this time of year with the leaves changing. The location is convenient to a lot of the Poconos attractions. The only two things that were inconvenient were having to drive to the Town Center to use the pool and the lack of trolleys (carts) to get our luggage up to our room on the third floor. Other than those two items, we would definitely stay there again .

When you arrive at split rock lodge, you need to go to the Towne Center to check in! Not the lodge, and they don’t tell or direct you to the towne center. Very frustrating and confusing! However our room at willow brook, a suite, was very nice!

Manager was so nice and friendly! Hotel has great potential for sure! Movie theater and bowling. Didn't even make it to the water park the kids loved the pool! Breakfast buffet could use more options. Overall a great stay and will be back for the indoor park. Hopefully more movie times and bowling will be open !

Staff very nice, room clean and large, easy check in. No towels, Coffee Maker broken (leaked out water). No dining available, only take out items from lobby. Looks like full service only on the weekends.

Bartender was amazing! So friendly and engaging. Staff at the front desk… clueless! The property has NO restaurants unlike how they advertise. It was a huge disappointment. Great place for teens who want to drink in public and smoke lots of weed. I would Never bring a kid to this resort. It seems to be very mismanaged!! So many workers… yet, no one seems to be doing anything. I should have done my research! Don’t stay here unless what I’ve said is what you’re looking for!

Overall, the resort has potential to be better. Being able to have all the activities without leaving the resort is amazing when you’re traveling with kids, however, after going to the pool, we realized it was dirty needs to be maintained much better the options at the food court are not great and bagels are stale. Breakfast options were not good seemed like everything was premade and microwavable. You would have to leave the resort in order to find decent breakfast for food in general. They had a restaurant where you can pay $25 per person for buffet but even that food did not look appetizing. There was a worker by the pool and we asked for towels. We don’t have any which seemed ridiculous. If you’re staying at the resort, then we found out if you went to the front desk you were able to get towels. Their service was not great at all we had to walk to hotel room soaking wet. We were supposed to check out on Monday at 11 AM and our key was deactivated at around eight in the morning which was very inconvenient. Please note waterpark is separate. We assumed it was included but we had to pay about $20 extra per person to access the waterpark. On a positive note, if you have small kids, waterpark is convenient because it’s not very crowded and enough entertainment for kids we took our 5 year old and he loved it

I stress if you are going here to call & see of the Water park is open the day that you go. We went on a Mon & Tuesday. Apparently, those days there is no waterpark or open restaurant at the resort. Many places in area close by 10pm, we had to settle for fast food 1st night. NO WATERPARK so disappointed. No info about that on the website or here. We arrived & the young man that checked us in placed us so far away even though he said the place was empty. The room was pleasantly clean inside. NO HOT WATER. Electrical outlets for charging anything that we had were not functioning. Finally found 1 that worked. I told Christine at the front desk at 7:30am that there was NO HOT water. She said no one else complained. I said NO ONE else is occupying rooms near us. You can tell because rooms doors are ajar for cleaning. ALL empty. I also asked for more towels & tp. NOPE. Never got them. When we left at 1pm the maint. man was repairing the hot water heater. I asked if it was in need of repair & he said YES. Christine was wrong. I actually went to the front desk 3 times but no one came until we had to check out. I saw a maid & she spoke no english. I motioned for towels/tp & she motioned to go to the front desk. Umm, I already did. The hot tub jets did not work. Pool needed to be cleaned. I did it. Mini fridge held barely anything or kept it cold. Wish they updated the place because it is so cool. Enjoyed Movie, Bowling & game room. Wish they Updated. I have so many ideas. Contact me.

One thing I did not like was the Buffet. Too expensive not enough food, the food was very cold. lots of empty tray with no food. The buffet needs a lot of improvement, more selections of food. It had lack of choices. Please try to work something better for the buffet service.

The indoor water park was closed, the interior area of the h20 pool area the ceilings were damaged and need repair, the food courts Closed, the outdoor pool dirty and unkept. The property manager Pablo was highly disrespectful, and the location looks like a ghost town. The breakfast is good however the attendant there watches the patrons like a hawk and they run out of some of the food a half hour before breakfast is done.

Due to construction, our room was moved to the Willowbrook Building for our stay. Front desk staff messed up at checkin (and i didnt know because this was my first time staying in a hotel) and we had issues with the night auditor attempting to charge various incorrect amounts on my card through the night because of it. (I had an insane number of suspicious activity and fraud alerts from my bank when i woke up), we did get it sorted out but only after waking up to security trying to break down the door telling us we were kicked out for non payment (i had paid the security deposit at check in. I guess they were supposed to charge the rest of the stay then as well but since they didnt & i just thought it was due at checkout & then theyd charge the rest). I was first charged like double the cost of the stay and it didnt go through and i immediatley texted the front desk number an got no reply. Then the MANY, MANY attempted charges through the night were all amounts that were more than the cost of the stay or random. None of them made sense and i did email a few people to ask what was happening but didnt get replies until after the security wakeup call. If you’re planning on staying here, pay before you get there or freeze your card after you checkin. The room itself was okay. Only one of the remotes for the TVs kinda worked though & the couch was VERY firm, absolutely no cushion. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Very old outdated...smell really bad in the hallways lobby and in the rooms..room wasn't really cleaned still had open beer cans in the freezer and terrible smell...would not fo back to this resort

Booked four nights, prepaid, and checked out an hour after arriving. The room had spiders in it. One fell on us. There was food and ants on the floor, so it clearly had not been cleaned properly. The air conditioning was set to 65 and would not go below 76. There were stains on the floor. Our window faced a maintenance area with trash cans, and two employees were outside smoking. I reported all of it to the front desk within the hour. To their credit, the agent was helpful. She looked at the photos, agreed the room was not acceptable, and told me to email them in and a full refund would be processed. That was the last response I got. I sent the email that morning and two follow-ups since. More than a week later, the resort has not answered a single one. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. This property advertises itself as a luxury resort. It is not one.
