Koloa landing is a 5 star resort. The grounds are beautiful. The pools are amazing and relaxing . We had so many options with the pools , soccer , putting golf , yoga , smores night, 24/7 gym , restaurant on site and so much more. The staff was professional and they came by a daily to clean the room . The view of the pool was a perfect location. The location is in walking distance to stores and restaurants and the beach. Tne room had a fully stocked Kitchen which helped with us grabbing some groceries for the week . Just an overall great family trip . It’s the second time we stayed there and we are looking forward to our next trip to Kauai and staying there a again.

Very nice swimming pools, friendly cordial staff, clean property. Concrete pavement around the pool unfortunately gets slippery and dangerous. The hotel makes efforts to lay down matts and signage’s. However, I injured my right foot still the first day and could not go hiking on trails I planned for. Be careful walking around the pool amenities!

Beautiful resort; great food at the restaurant/bar; WONDERFUL staff, friendly and helpful, welcoming and always with a smile; beautiful pools and grounds; walking path along the ocean; shuttle service to local shopping, etc. Loved everything about this resort!

Lovely, quiet resort. Room was well kept and decorated, we upgraded to a 1-bedroom. Room was spacious, kitchen well equipped, convenience of having a laundry was perfect. Walls and floors are thick, we never heard a peep from our neighbors. Pool was clean and inviting, and the Holoholo grill by the bottom is fun - they have live music most nights, so hanging out in the lowest hot tub is a great place to relax and listen. I knew this was not beachfront, but the “quick path” is deceiving. Walking options to the beach are either by walking the shoulder of Hoonai rd, or along Poipu rd. It’s not really a “path” and it’s not really quick. We don’t spend a ton of time on the beach, but if you’re a frequent beach goer, this may be a deal breaker if you don’t like lugging your kids/stuff, and then having to go back and forth. If you’re staying in building 11 or 10, parking areas are often filled with people coming to eat at the Holoholo, and it’s kind of inconvenient to find somewhere to park depending on what time you return. Also in building 10, our view was of the parking lot, which could have been a lot nicer. The biggest deal breaker at Koloa Landing, is that they had no hospitality or “courtesy” room that they have at other nearby resorts. This is a necessity for any travelers who check out in the am, but don’t have a flight until later at night. It’s nice to have a place to change and shower before departure. At Koloa all I was offered was an expensive “late check out”.

Property was clean, beautiful, we stayed in a studio king kitchenette garden view. We were welcomed with free bottle waters and a box of Hawaiian chocolates. The pools are spectacular! The restaurant overlooks the beautiful pools. They also have soccer and volleyball court, There’s live nightly Hawaiian music while you’re swimming or while dining at their restaurant Holoholo. The shopping center and food are walking distance. King bed was comfortable. The sofa bed squeaked a lot but no big deal. Kitchenette is a nice bonus with fridge.

Best hotel I have probably stayed at especially in Hawaii, arguably more beautiful grounds and pools than the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. On site restaurant was delicious as well as the marketplace on site which also had lots of essentials available for purchase. Multiple pools, one of which is adults only, one is family, and the rest are multi use with waterfalls. Beach access and views from resort, minutes from downtown Koloa and poipu beach. Rooms were clean and spacious, friendly and helpful staff as well. Would definitely stay again!

Our favorite place to stay on Kauai! Best pool ever. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Love the kitchen and washer and dryer. Staff is excellent and friendly. Spa is really nice and very experienced masseuses. Restaurant on property is delicious and Leilani takes excellent care of you! You'll leave relaxed and feel taken care of!

They exceeded our expectations. The staff we made all the difference. So kind, friendly, responsive and truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Having a vila with a full kitchen and washer dryer was so helpful with 2 teens! Location was perfect, pool was incredible, good food, lots of parking, I can’t suggest this hotel enough. We can’t wait to go back!

Everything was pretty amazing. Lots of fun activities for family and kids right there at the resort. The pool areas are phenomenal too. Just a couple minor issues though… Some of the gym equipment is pretty dated. However, they do have a lot of free weights and a peloton bike. And they do have free fitness classes outside some days. Also, I don’t know if it was just our luck of the draw with our room, but the beds were a bit uncomfortable/squeaky. It world be great if they updated the beds. Though everything else in the room was very nice (full kitchen, big fridge and freezer, updated appliances, etc.)

The resort was very nice. Clean and well maintained. The problem is the hidden fees. Resort is extremely expensive. Due to this we would not stay here again.

Loved this property. Our villas were clean, well maintained and staff was friendly. The linens and beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with enough kitchen ware you could prepare meals. The store on site has a variety of basic staples and they made the best lattes with oak milk. My grandchildren loved the pools and the slides….i can see why Kōloa Landing has won awards for its pools. There’s shopping available not far from Kōloa Landing with a nice variety of restaurants. Poipu Beach is close by and is super beach for families. Our family had a wonderful stay at Kōloa Landing.

Property has aged quite a bit compared to the pictures. Room was pretty dirty/worn down with a clogged sink. Only one restaurant with so-so food that fills up fast (same with fitness room). Overall a “fine” hotel with convenient location, but nowhere near the price compared to other resorts we visited while there. Really friendly staff though. Overall, bit of a letdown

It was a beautiful resort in a walking distance to the beach. Although, the pool is nice and big enough not to want to go to the beach. The pool, pool area, restrooms, hallways, the parking area, and the room itself was clean and maintained clean on a daily basis during our week long stay. Friendly and professional staff made our stay a memorable one. We had no noise issues throughout our stay.

Wonderful location. Property was clean and well kept for the most part. Rooms need door mats due to what the trees drop on the ground getting tracked in on shoes. Room could have been more clean upon arrival.
Wonderful location. Property was clean and well kept for the most part. Rooms need door mats due to what the trees drop on the ground getting tracked in on shoes. Room could have been more clean upon arrival.

We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways. The room and its view were perhaps the biggest disappointment. A worn and untidy room and bathroom. Of course there can be cockroaches in the tropics, but this was the only hotel where we shared a room with them. The ocean view was of someone's backyard, which was basically a dump. $700/night would lead you to expect a good hotel, but that's not the point, it's the end result. We would not choose this hotel at any price, with or without children. Fortunately, there were good restaurants nearby (Eating house 1849, The Merrimans, Red salt) and the hotel shuttle service worked really well.

The pool was amazing, the restaurant was good and staff were always helpful and friendly. Our room had an ocean view and parking was plentiful although not always close to our building. Room was nice with AC the one bad thing we had was the sheets on the bed were lightly dirty but were changed within an hour. Overall was an amazing experience.

We have been here now twice and loved our stays both times accept for the beds. The property itself is well kept, clean and beautiful. The staff are always friendly and this place has great amenities. The only con which we experienced both times are that the pillows are horrible and made sleep very uncomfortable. I hate leaving a negative review but the pillow situation must be fixed. I would not stay here again just due to how uncomfortable the pillows were. They were all lumpy like they had been washed and now the filling was ruined and uneven. Please replace the pillows and I will be back.

I have stayed in a number of hotels. The two bedroom villa was incredible. A great view. Useful amenities like kitchen and washer/dryer. Beautiful grounds. Fantastic pools. I could hardly imagine staying anywhere else on the island. This stay was well worth the money spent.

Should have upgraded to a pool view. We had a garden view room but it wasn’t a garden view. It was right in the parking lot on ground level. Couldn’t open the window blinds or sliders to the patio, because people were constantly coming and going right by our room. Pretty bum deal. Love Kaua’i tho!

We had a beautiful view of the gardens and ocean. The only complaint would be the old appliances. Such a beautiful space with old run down appliances. The dishwasher and washer and dryer wasn’t really working.

Lovely, quiet resort. Room was well kept and decorated, we upgraded to a 1-bedroom. Room was spacious, kitchen well equipped, convenience of having a laundry was perfect. Walls and floors are thick, we never heard a peep from our neighbors. Pool was clean and inviting, and the Holoholo grill by the bottom is fun - they have live music most nights, so hanging out in the lowest hot tub is a great place to relax and listen. I knew this was not beachfront, but the “quick path” is deceiving. Walking options to the beach are either by walking the shoulder of Hoonai rd, or along Poipu rd. It’s not really a “path” and it’s not really quick. We don’t spend a ton of time on the beach, but if you’re a frequent beach goer, this may be a deal breaker if you don’t like lugging your kids/stuff, and then having to go back and forth. If you’re staying in building 11 or 10, parking areas are often filled with people coming to eat at the Holoholo, and it’s kind of inconvenient to find somewhere to park depending on what time you return. Also in building 10, our view was of the parking lot, which could have been a lot nicer. The biggest deal breaker at Koloa Landing, is that they had no hospitality or “courtesy” room that they have at other nearby resorts. This is a necessity for any travelers who check out in the am, but don’t have a flight until later at night. It’s nice to have a place to change and shower before departure. At Koloa all I was offered was an expensive “late check out”.

Our favorite place to stay on Kauai! Best pool ever. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Love the kitchen and washer and dryer. Staff is excellent and friendly. Spa is really nice and very experienced masseuses. Restaurant on property is delicious and Leilani takes excellent care of you! You'll leave relaxed and feel taken care of!

All staff were very friendly and helpful and responsive to any requests or needs we had. Service was excellent! Christian at front desk was especially helpful and stood out during our stay. Thank you Christian and all the staff! The property needs updating and renovation. The rooms are dark and felt old and outdated. The Sheraton property just a few minutes walking distance was right on the beach with incredible views and amenities and was the same price. If I were to return, I would recommend the Sheraton resort property. That’s where we spent most of our time.

They exceeded our expectations. The staff we made all the difference. So kind, friendly, responsive and truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Having a vila with a full kitchen and washer dryer was so helpful with 2 teens! Location was perfect, pool was incredible, good food, lots of parking, I can’t suggest this hotel enough. We can’t wait to go back!

**Warning: Drugging Incident at Koloa Landing Hotel** Our stay at Koloa Landing Hotel in Kauai became a nightmare when a member of our party was drugged, likely near the hotel pool and bar. This incident was terrifying, especially since we had children with us. We reported the incident to the police, visited a clinic for testing, and informed the hotel. The pool and amenities around the property were very nice. The staff was always very friendly, particularly the bartenders. They did a great job of striking up conversation and making you feel welcome. There was a lot to do around the property also. There were some solid snorkeling areas and sandy beaches were not far. Some of the best rated restaurants were within a very short drive.

The resort was beautiful. Although not directly on the beach, the pool and gardens and the overall views were terrific. We did not eat on property but found plenty of options in the nearby shopping centers and a few food / coffee trucks. Convenient to south shore activities. Would return.

It was a beautiful resort in a walking distance to the beach. Although, the pool is nice and big enough not to want to go to the beach. The pool, pool area, restrooms, hallways, the parking area, and the room itself was clean and maintained clean on a daily basis during our week long stay. Friendly and professional staff made our stay a memorable one. We had no noise issues throughout our stay.

The location of the property was excellent and the poolside and the landscape of the property was beautiful. The proximity to the Paipu beech and other attractions including the airport(30 minute drive) was very appealing. The washer and dryer in the room was an advantage. The rooms ,services, and amenities provided could have been better. I have had much better experience in other Autograph properties. Overall a very good stay.

Best hotel I have probably stayed at especially in Hawaii, arguably more beautiful grounds and pools than the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. On site restaurant was delicious as well as the marketplace on site which also had lots of essentials available for purchase. Multiple pools, one of which is adults only, one is family, and the rest are multi use with waterfalls. Beach access and views from resort, minutes from downtown Koloa and poipu beach. Rooms were clean and spacious, friendly and helpful staff as well. Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Koloa Landing. You can’t beat the pool options. It’s a short walk to the beach (and a lovely beach it is!). The staff is wonderful. Food was delicious. We hope to be back again next year! Mahalo.

Nice rooms and pool area. Dining was great and most of all the staff seemed to enjoy their job , willing to help with anything.

Only thing I would wish for is proper vegetarian food option in HoloGrill. Beyond Burger is not good. Everything else was excellent in my trip. Love the property, amenities, atmosphere, and easy access to nearby beach.

This is a beautiful resort with amazing pools and gorgeous vegetation/landscaping. Everyone was also extra friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I really disliked was the fact that there is only ONE restaurant for the whole huge place - the restaurant is super expensive, has a totally limited menu, and the delivery hours are limited. Unless you took your own car to Safeway slightly far away, I don’t know how you eat. With four kids this made it tough, especially having kids with food allergies. In addition, the market onsite is horrible. There is nothing but overpriced chocolates, stale chips, crazy overpriced water and some lame souvenirs and toiletries. I didn’t understand this. Why not have better options? And why is it SO expensive? It made me avoid the place at all costs….. but again, we had no food options and really needed a market type place. Overall it’s a lovely place that is a great setup for an awesome vacation. The shuttles that can take you all around was really appreciated. I just wish that we weren’t always struggling food wise. Had a couple problems with housekeeping in the beginning (no comforters and just sheets for the first 2 nights) but they quickly resolved it once I called. If you plan out how you will eat, and you don’t mind the pricey-ness overall (Kauai in general) you will love Koloa Landing.

Pros: Staffs are very nice and spacious room Cons: Food is terrible and there is only one restaurant. For the high price I paid, it was not worth it at all. I will not stay here again.

Property was clean, beautiful, we stayed in a studio king kitchenette garden view. We were welcomed with free bottle waters and a box of Hawaiian chocolates. The pools are spectacular! The restaurant overlooks the beautiful pools. They also have soccer and volleyball court, There’s live nightly Hawaiian music while you’re swimming or while dining at their restaurant Holoholo. The shopping center and food are walking distance. King bed was comfortable. The sofa bed squeaked a lot but no big deal. Kitchenette is a nice bonus with fridge.

Best hotel I have probably stayed at especially in Hawaii, arguably more beautiful grounds and pools than the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. On site restaurant was delicious as well as the marketplace on site which also had lots of essentials available for purchase. Multiple pools, one of which is adults only, one is family, and the rest are multi use with waterfalls. Beach access and views from resort, minutes from downtown Koloa and poipu beach. Rooms were clean and spacious, friendly and helpful staff as well. Would definitely stay again!

Property was very nice, has a great pool and plenty of lounge chairs to relax. I would be nice to have another restaurant on property to choose from, staff at bar and restaurant were friendly. The coffee machine at the market was broke down one day into our stay and was not available for the week of our stay so we had to go off property for coffee in the morning. No sand beach at property but walk to Sheraton was only 10 minutes to get to beach.

Superbe place, très bien située. La piscine est magnifique! La plage est tout près. La chambre choisie était un peu petite mais c’était apprécié d’avoir une petite cuisinette, une laveuse et une sécheuse. J’y retournerais volontiers!

The resort has some great features, especially the beautiful pools and the excellent check-in experience. The welcome was warm and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, the evenings were disappointing. There was very little nightlife, no real bar atmosphere, and almost everything closed by 9:00 p.m., which made the resort feel quiet much too early. The drinks at the bar were also below expectations, and the bartenders and bar staff didn’t seem particularly engaged or enthusiastic, which affected the overall experience. The property itself is lovely, but extending the evening offerings and improving the bar service would make a big difference.

We loved this hotel. The pool was amazing. Never too crowded, could always find a few lounge chairs anytime of day. Kids loved the water slides and different pools. We stayed in a 1br villa and the layout and kitchen worked great for our fam of 4. Maybe we would get a 2br next time to have more space to spread out. Great location, 5 min from Shops and restaurants and Koloa beach where you can see turtles and snorkel. Will stay here again.
