This hotel is a modern hotel and is very clean. We needed to catch a taxi from the station to get there. There is a bus that stops near the hotel but its schedule wasn’t convenient. The common area of the hotel is very welcoming to have breakfast as there is a kitchen for guests to use. There is a small shop in the corner of reception to buy food.

Excellent, cozy hotel in Nikko. Comfortable room and bedding. Very clean and well designed. Nice lounge area and a great selection of quality curated food you can reheat on the kitchen area. I wish the Marriott’s in the US were as nice. Staff was terrific. Several good restaurants are 5-10 minutes walking distance and the main sights are a pretty 30 minute walk but taxis and buses are also available.

築浅で綺麗なホテルを探しココに決めました。 マリオットさんなので不安は無かったです。 ホテル周辺に何もない事は分かっていたので到着前に買い物をしてチェックインしました。 お部屋にバスタブが有れば最高でしたが、使い勝手の良い間取り、全館清潔、寝心地の良いベッド。1階に持ち込んだ食事を温めたりするコーナーがあり、シンクやカウンターがあり広くて清潔でとても使いやすかったです。 車寄せがあるので雨の日でも安心です。 今回、予定していた半分しか観光出来なかったのでまた来年日光へ行く予定です。その時もまた宿泊したいと思います。

This hotel is practically brand new, and is thoughtfully designed, attractive, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are practical and well-appointed, and there is a shared public area for sitting, small food kitchen for guests, and even an outdoor seating area to enjoy the view of the surrounding nature. All welcome and relaxing after a day's hiking or sightseeing. Excellent experience I would repeat any time! The property is somewhat removed from town, and there is no restaurant at the hotel, in case that's a consideration for others contemplating a stay. I would guess it's a 30-minute walk to town, but it might be a bit dangerous after dark as the roads are not lit. Not sure if there's a shuttle or other transportation options for those without a car? In our case, we had a car, and it was a non-issue. Really loved our time here and highly recommend it!

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We appreciated the very comfortable beds after a long day of traveling and the convenience of the community kitchen and laundry facilities. The hotel is just a quick taxi ride from the station. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again should we be in Nikko.

Very clean and modern rooms. We loved the huge bed and well thought out use of space. The hotel also provides complimentary coffee and use of toaster, microwave, etc. Breakfast isn’t provided, but there is a huge communal area for you to have breakfast in the morning. Easy and convenient parking on site. Will definitely come back again if we are visiting Nikko.

We sadly only allocated one night in beautiful Nikko but I am so glad we chose this hotel! The most luxurious sleep of our whole trip, the room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and felt like a small apartment compared to some of the hotels we stayed at while in Japan. I highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Nikko!

The rooms was great. The shower was FABULOUS! And we just LOVED this room. We were so sad to have to leave. The beds were so incredibly comfortable.

Generous room by Japanese standards, comfortable western bed and pillows, free freshly ground coffee machine. Less convenient if you are short on time and no car, but I really enjoyed the 20-30 walk to/from the town. Would definitely return.

Loved the location, the staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to assist us with organising taxis in a very timely manner especially on the day we were leaving. They also assisted us to check in early as the room was made up which made for an even more enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable, especially with how dark the room could be made at night, made for a very relaxing sleep.
Loved the location, the staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to assist us with organising taxis in a very timely manner especially on the day we were leaving. They also assisted us to check in early as the room was made up which made for an even more enjoyable stay. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable, especially with how dark the room could be made at night, made for a very relaxing sleep.

We loved this hotel. We were particularly impressed with the kindness of the staff. Sujawa, in particular, greeted us with warmth and made sure we were immediately comfortable after coming into the hotel on a very hot day. She also explained the local bus service and allowed us to check in earlier than anticipated, which made our day in Nikko so much easier and more enjoyable. The room was perfect and very clean, and the coffee machine in the main kitchen area was much appreciated. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Reception staff, especially the Supervisor when we checked in (10/18/25) was not accommodating. We were just requesting for upper floor when she said “ you need your VIP guest number before we can even discuss your request. For a small room worth almost $500.00 you can’t even request for a higher room? VERY UNSAT Customer Service. If I can rate her customer service lower than Very Poor!! I would. She broke my highest expectation for Japanese customer service!!

Absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nikko. Check in and check out process were a breeze and staff is extremely friendly. The Nikko train station is about a mile away but taxis are plentiful and the bus stop is steps away.

I arrived at this hotel injured after breaking my arm in another hotel.Staff were AMAZING. I can honestly say I’ve never had better service or care ever and anywhere. Hotel facilities are exceptionally clean and modern. I am surprised it is only a three star. I have travelled a lot and this definitely ranks with four star standards. Once again I cannot emphasise how absolutely brilliant the stuff work, all of the Staff that we were working that day were phenomenal and deserve a huge congratulations And thank you from myself

Great hotel , we really liked are room it a nice size with a comfy bed The room was quite , so a great night sleep 💤 The hotel is a 30 minute up hill walk to the hotel and 25 minutes back to the station 5 minutes in a taxi . Price varies £4.70 -£7.00

I picked this hotel because they advertised free shuttle from the train station as it is an uphill trek. The hotel sent an email AFTER my free cancellation period stating no shuttle was available - the web site was not updated to reflect this.

It was an excellent hotel with helpful staff and clean, nice rooms. The location, however, is not very convenient if you don’t have a car- taxis are not always readily available and it’s a 20 minute walk from the hotel to dining and bus options.

Well, it’s under Marriott brand but the facility is inconviently located with limited shuttle between nikko city center which also all busisiness closes early in the evening. This business should indicate it’s more convenient, friendly for people travel with car then using the public transportation. Limited shuttle between the hotel to Nikko station offers three in the morning and three in tue afternoon/evening with limited seating. I travel light and use the laundry facility to clean, some of the washer in Japan has detergent feeder but it was not indicated on the hotel information or in the laundry room. When I asked the front desk staff, he elegantly said it’s written all over in the laundry room. I went back to look for the sign says washer has auto detergent feeder and I was able located the sign written in Japanese “detergent” included in top of the washing machine lid. With the lid opened as most unused washing machine, the notice is obscured behind the lid. I don’t think some of the staff actually done any traveling themselves to experience the needs of the travelers.

This property is relatively new and very modern, super clean, has excellent beds and linen, it's quiet, and the service was exceptional. The main drawback is the location. It's not within walking distance of the main sites or transportation hubs, there's almost zero bus service to that area, and taxi's are scarce. It's better suited for guests who have their own vehicle.

Property is comfortable, quiet, and clean with a friendly staff. Rooms are large (for Japan). It's a bit isolated and there are only 2 dining options within walking distance. The hotel does not have a dining option but you can buy items to microwave. There is no shopping or convenience stores nearby and we took a taxi from Nikko Station.

This hotel is a modern hotel and is very clean. We needed to catch a taxi from the station to get there. There is a bus that stops near the hotel but its schedule wasn’t convenient. The common area of the hotel is very welcoming to have breakfast as there is a kitchen for guests to use. There is a small shop in the corner of reception to buy food.

We loved the wonderful staff, extremely comfortable bed, spacious & efficient room layout and amenities. The only downside was no restaurant or fresh food available onsite. On days when many of the local restaurants were closed, it was difficult to get sufficient meals.

In this respect I have to single out Suzawa and Abe who did their utmost to ensure they my needs were promptly catered for in a professional and very courteous manner. I also liked the size and cleanliness of the rooms and view from the large windows. Where this hotel, however, looses appeal is the lack of transportation and dining facilities. Not even cereal packets and milk or a simple European breakfast. This is a major drawback made worse by the fact that there are almost no places in Nikko that offer a good breakfast or lunch. The lack of eating options is exacerbated by very limited public transport (just a bus which goes past twice a day). The hotel is not far from the centre of Nikko but the road is not walkable because the location is uphill and very dark at night and with no footpaths. Given the price of the accommodation I would have expected a courtesy car pick up like the hotels in Hakone provide. The latter drawbacks are regrettable because, this is otherwise, an excellent hotel to stay in.

Great hotel and service was amazing. Quite off the beaten path however. You need to take a taxi to/from the train station if you have suitcases or to restaurants. There are buses but they only pass by 5 times per day. The hotel has a small confectionary where you can buy food and that helps but not really a full meal unless you order at least 4 days in advance.

Great, new hotel, large and comfortable rooms, nice big bed. Short bus ride or 24 minute walk from train station in Nikko town. Free coffee all day (nice machine). Recommend buying breakfast and perhaps dinner at the main grocery store close to the Nikko train station, for convenience. Good idea to rent a car at Toyota Rent a Car/Hertz as the drives through the mountains are great, and the local bus service is good, but does not run all day.

2 nuits en couple à Nikko. Hôtel très bien situé à quelques minutes en voiture des « hits » à visiter. Navette si pas de voiture. Pas de restaurant mais des produits à la vente et présence régulière d’un petit food truck devant l’hôtel, très pratique et bon. Machine à café à disposition, thé, soupe, micro onde. Tout ferme très tôt à Nikko en septembre. Prêt de parapluies. Personnel très sympathique. Nous conseillons vivement cet établissement quasi neuf.

This is a terrific basic hotel with very clean and stylish Western-style rooms (albeit with the small Japanese beds) and public spaces at reasonable rates. Would definitely stay here again. It is a bit out of the way from central Nikko (up a hill from the train stations, and a bit too far on rural roads to be truly walkable), but cabs are cheap and the hotel runs a free shuttle to the stations in the morning and late afternoon. Also there is no restaurant on-site. However, there’s free tea/coffee/miso soup in the lobby, basic food items for sale at the front desk, and a good breakfast truck (with Western breakfast items and coffee) comes by from 7-10 am.
