There is a lot of debris around the front of the property but the backyard is beautiful. The area leading to the lake is under construction as noted, but that does not mean it needs to be dirty with garbage. The paths leading to the woods in the front also has a lot of debris. The room itself was ok, but certainly not new or super clean. This place is just ok for the money.

Driving up to the property was underwhelming but the beautiful lawns behind the motel made up for it and a nice walk down the pathway to the water was such a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive. The lily pads were in bloom and what a beautiful site. Room was clean and just renovated and we loved having morning coffee on the deck. All in all a great stay!

I have pictures of faulty wiring , fixed with duck tape and Tupperware containers. Not as Advertised close to beach . We were told its closed due to "construction" I went down anyways, it looks like it has not been worked on for Years. Outdoor furniture just rotting on the beach. front desk clerk very unhelpful. very sarcastic tone when we asked about the town and the sites. went to the bathroom blood under sink ,hair and dust of many ,many days on heaters behind door, So gross i have photos if your interested, H. fraser we have photos if your intrested

Don’t know if they forgot I came because my room wasn’t clean. The bed was no done, trash in the trash can, empty bottle on the table and dirty towels in the bathtub. The room itself was good. There is not much to do in Clearwater city in winter but the national park is amazing.

I knew it would be a motel, but the welcome email and the photos give it more justice than reality. My room was not clean (the toilet was not cleaned), and the kitchen-type items were in disarray. I think they were about 80% through the reno, and stopped. They are almost there - and if it were clean - honestly, it would be a great spot. Comfortable enough bed.

Positives: The king size bed was SO comfy and I enjoyed the peace and quiet the property provided for my dog and I. Cons: Dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. Slept on top of the bed as the sheets were covered in hair and stains (good things I brought a blanket)! Not even soap provided for washing hands. The property has so much potential. Just has people who don't really care about it which is too bad. Quite comical, nonetheless.

The condition and cleanliness of our room were disappointing. There were toenail clippings in the bedside table and the sofa was stained. The fixtures in the bathroom were loose and in poor condition. Ok for a one night stopover, but wouldn’t have been happy staying longer. We were away early so didn’t travel to the golf course for breakfast.

Older hotel that has been renovated. Clean, with a small kitchenette. My only complaint was that there was no wifi at all first day, the staff worked hard to fix it and it was up again on the second night but with limited signal strength. Good enough for browsing but not for loading photos. Good value for the money unless wifi is a deal breaker.

One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. However there was no plug ins anywhere near a mirror for shaving of hair appliances and the toilet wouldn’t stop running when you flushed it.

Love the location at lakeside. The views were somewhat spoilt by the construction site between the lake and the hotel, but still a nice location. The family room was excellent, it has everything you need. Some of the furniture's are a bit dated and tired, but it was cosy and clean.

We stayed at the property for one night on our travels. The room was decent for what it was, and great for our pups. BUT, the floors are not sound proof - we had people above us show up late and all you heard was banging from their chairs etc from 11pm to 130 am ; we had the worst sleep ever. Because of this, we would not stay again especially on the main floor.

Short overnight trip. Room was great 201 top floor corner. Views of mountain and lake were great. Nice to have a ourdoor patio space. Though trucks on highemway are noisy. Room was nicely updated decor was nice, tv was big and beds super comfortable. Ac unit blew some big chunks of dust on me but it is early in the season for its use. Coffee cups were very small but i like my coffee strong anyway. I also kept kicking the wooden bed frame as it sticks out. But i would definitely stay there again.

We have used Hotel Civilia on several occasions spanning many yrs (under earlier management as well). It has improved its cleanliness and provides comfortable rooms that are also pet-friendly. The people serving at the front desk have been very helpful and went out of their way to help us resolve a mechanical problem we had with our vehicle, finding the right person to best resolve the problem. Its a very convenient and quiet location.

A little disappointed in the beginning as Staff were not there for checking in when we arrived at almost 4pm, had to wait for 10-15 min and the door was closed, it was cold outside. Location is good, close to many falls and city centre. Room is clean. Staff are friendly. Breakfast has apple, coffe, muffin and yoghurt. Pretty good price compared with other hotels nearby.

This could be a wonderful accommodation to stay at with proper upkeep in terms of cleanliness and replacing broken appliances and furniture. Unfortunately was unable to reach the front desk at time of concerns and time of check out, as a sign was posted in the lobby that no staff were available to check out guests.

What was good…the water pressure, the bed linens. The bed although new was very firm not really their fault. Towels were very tough. Only two coffee cups one barely big enough for a whole cup of coffee. No sugar packets. Very noisy guests upstairs. Stomped and danced like they were doing a war dance. Tried to complain but no response from office. Only voice mail available which did no good.

Love the location at lakeside. The views were somewhat spoilt by the construction site between the lake and the hotel, but still a nice location. The family room was excellent, it has everything you need. Some of the furniture's are a bit dated and tired, but it was cosy and clean.

Clean and comfortable. Proximity with the river is very nice, but there was a decrepit lot next to the motel, which was not so nice. The highway was close but could not be heard from the room.

Rooms were comfy and clean. Sliding door that opened right out to a large grass area over looking the lake. Check in was quick and easy and parking right outside our room door. Would book here again if travelling through.

A little disappointed in the beginning as Staff were not there for checking in when we arrived at almost 4pm, had to wait for 10-15 min and the door was closed, it was cold outside. Location is good, close to many falls and city centre. Room is clean. Staff are friendly. Breakfast has apple, coffe, muffin and yoghurt. Pretty good price compared with other hotels nearby.

Driving up to the property was underwhelming but the beautiful lawns behind the motel made up for it and a nice walk down the pathway to the water was such a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive. The lily pads were in bloom and what a beautiful site. Room was clean and just renovated and we loved having morning coffee on the deck. All in all a great stay!

A nice trail down to the lake was great, as well as the front lawn overlooking the lake. Easy to get to, but since it is right off the highway, the traffic is very noticeable. The staff was helpful, the room was clean but worn. For the price, hard to beat but would really like a new shower curtain!

We've stayed at this property numerous times over the past five years and it always been great. This time however I'd say it was good. This time we were on the main level and the room was just not as spacious or conveniently layout as the rooms we've had on the 2nd floor. AND the included breakfast was not available until 8:30am....we're on the road by 8:00am at the latest so that felt not okay. Breakfast has always been available by 7am or even earlier at every other hotel so thumbs down for that. If had not had the long positive history I likely would not recommend it but will write this one off as just a one off.

Found out that the complimentary breakfast was 8 kms south of the hotel. One man trying to cook and serve the food food by himself. NOT GOOD !!! 110 plug in bathroom did not work. All said and done it was not a great experience.

Our 1 bedroom room with a kitchenette was fine. The hotel is close to the amenities in Clearwater. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The included breakfast had dry and chewy scrambled eggs, dry and chewy toast that wasn't buttered or cut in half. The bacon, sausage, yogurt and fruit was fine. There is no lake access directly in front of the property as it appears to be in the aerial shot on the website. A public beach access can be walked to along a busy street that takes about 8 minutes.

It is right beside Dutch Lake. Beautiful location. Your stay includes breakfast. However you have to drive 7 minutes to the club house of a golf course in order to have your breakfast. The food was below average. I did not enjoy it. Also, the place was not well maintained.

Main negative is false advertising. The dining facility is not on site but a 10 min drive down the highway. After that, the property is reasonably priced for what you get. Our room had clean bedding, comfy beds, hot water, great coffee and a powerful shower. It has lovely seating area outside, which backs onto a stunning lake. Great for one night as we were travelling through the area. Room was spacious. We opted to drive to the golf course for breakfast (we were offered breakfast delivered to our room, or a cooked breakfast 10 minutes drive away). I probably wouldn't bother next time, as limited options! But the hotel is quiet and perfectly located if travelling through the area.

The room had recently been partially renovated, the room was as clean, the staff were really helpful and nice. There was a nice view from the rear side. The balcony is one huge connecting balcony as it is at the front also. Breakfast is at the golf centre down the road, very helpful staff offering to cook us an omlette etc

That is false advertising as if you want breakfast you have to pick from 4 pictures And you need to order before 9 pm night before so it can be delivered to the front desk between 8 and8:15. We appreciate that they left our key for our room even though we arrived after 11 pm. Did not appreciate that break is at an entirely different location kms away. Beds and rooms were very comfortable.
