Loved that you could access all the pools that Richard’s owns so it gave options if the hotel we were at were crowded

White sheets had visible stains. Towels were old and worn. The owner needs to buy new sheets and towels instead of using unsanitary linens. The pool needs to e cleaned more often it was dirty as well.

Property was not secured. No towels provided for pool. No dish soap provided to wash dishes and utensils provided. Our hotel room door should have been metal did not close properly. You could see daylight all around it.

Very peaceful atmosphere, impeccable cleanliness and not one insect in my room. Friendly staff. Very unique and artistic set up. I’ll be back! I felt at home hearing French, my first language, as well as Creole, my second language. English and Spanish were spoken too. I felt at home.

Check in was fast and easy. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms were very clean. I stayed a couple of times. The decorations are very beautiful and unique, I honestly think that was my favorite part. They seen I had kids and worked with me so that we can have more space. The pool area was clean and they had toys there for the kids to use. Plenty of seating at the pool. It was quiet and a relaxing stay. I recommend and I will be staying again.

Clean and quiet

My initial check-in we will rented room 117 which had clear evidence and bed bugs. I exchanged my room immediately the next day for what they consider to upgrade which wasn't much of an upgrade except the room was larger and it smelled a little less moldy. Needless to say, we stayed because we were already committed. Two funds were tight. The second room showed no signs of active bugs as I've been in pest control for years. So between many sleepless nights we shuttled in. The staff was prompt and assisting with the bed bug situation and were very nice about it. But everything overall just condemn that entire situation. They need major upgrades all around. Furniture is stained. Couch has mystery sheets on them. Obviously it cover the stains. If I had a choice, I think I will not return based on this experience, but if things were ever revamped would be willing to try again

Had to turn the a/c off every morning so the room was stifling when I came back, and it took hours to get to a comfortable temp. The towels had bugs crushed into them.

The place has aged and not renovated. Beddings have smell and floor is dirty. My skin etched got bitten with a bug i think.

My door to my room did not lock. The sheets have blood spots on them I had to ask for some new sheets The wall's in the bathroom was dirty The bed moved a lot The outside of the toilet was dirty The floors was clean

The AC in the room prevents you from sleeping, it’s so darn loud.

This is NOT a 3 star motel. I needed to use the restroom at check in. There's no lobby. You check in outside. So no restroom. No bag check. But it is clean. Room is very basic. No shampoo in my room. And the shower drain didn't drain.

When we walked into our room, it smelled musty. The interior was very clean, but very old furniture and items in the room. The curtain rods had rust on them and so did the round hooks on the curtains. Overall, it was clean and quiet.

The doors need to be fixed up. They had basically no wifi. It doesn't work. Overall if you need a last minute place to crash, it will do the job well.

It was nice to have a separate kitchen area. The TV remote was hard to use. Apparently it has a special code which we did not know. We had to have a worker fix it. Unfortunately, the next morning again the TV remote did not work. Also, there was no shampoo in the room. Luckily we brought our own shampoo.

The overall property was great the room was very clean the staff was great. The only issue with the room is they need new beds the mattress was very uncomfortable to sleep on had to go and buy a mattress pad to make the bed comfortable enough to sleep on.

I would like to highlight the customer service rep named Paula who checked me in. She was so professional and pleasant to deal with. After long flights and delays, I was really having a rough day. She made my check and experience better than any other time that I have stayed at that hotel and she actually made me feel better from my day. She’s a great representation for the Hotel and her personality is the type that we keep customers coming back.

Arrived, after already paying in full for room, at the front desk told by the property email and the guy said we had to walk to another location. It was 11:30pm. We had a lot of luggage. We were leaving to go on a 14 day cruise. It was ridiculous. Once we got to other location, he was extremely rude to others on line before us. The lady was exhausted and having sugar problems. He told them to go somewhere else he didn’t care about her medical issues. He could tell by my face I was appalled! It’s not like this place is like what the pictures show. It’s a junk hole. Still want a $50 cash deposit like crappy places 20 years ago. It’s so unprofessional. So misrepresented on Expedia. We ended up having to walk back to the first place we originally went for the room! Ridiculous!

This is very no frills. You get what you pay for. I was fine with everything until checkout which was at 11 this morning. I was literally going the bathroom at 10.58 when the general manager called me and told me I needed to check out. I told her I was going the bathroom and she proceeded to tell me I was talking over her. She should be suspended or fired for treating a customer so rudely. Richard's lost my business because of her attitude and behavior with two minutes remaining on my stay!

Overall the motel is nice and comfy. My only real issues was the no vistor rule. I had friends who i wanted to come over and just hang out with for a couple of hours but was at risk of getting put out

Checked in late. Sean at desk treated me like family. Slept like a baby. Enjoy yourself a little old school Florida stay. And hospitality.

Stole my deposit. They insist on a $50 cash deposit. I got called into work at 6 am. No one working at either desk. Phone out of order. I placed my key in the box near the office. I came back that afternoon and they refused to return my deposit saying it was past checkout time. I’m convinced this is an intentional scam to steal money.

Ended up at Richard's Motel after my previous accommodation turned out to be unlivable. Richard's Motel turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed doing the whole American Motel experience without the horrors that sometimes appear in the movies. The staff were friendly. Sean on the front desk and the manager whos name Unfortunately I can't remember but she's from Argentina and I even had a nice chat on the last day with the owner. Richard who gave me some sage insights into why Trump is good for business in America. He himself apparently cycled to Miami in the '80s from Canada. Anyway, back to the motel. It is a motel not a five-star hotel but everything was clean and serviceable and the environs were very nice. Brightly lit and set up for Christmas-On the final day saw lovely Iguana and a raccoon sleeping up in a tree which I hadn't noticed for the duration of my stay there. Getting into Central Miami isn't too bad. You catch a bus 1 which seems to be the only bus that runs on this road down to Aventura Mall from where you can catch buses to other destinationd. Richard's Motel is within easy walking distance of a casino and large horse racing events facility called Gulfstream which is massive. Loads of convenience stores nearby. CVS is 24 hours. 7-Eleven did the most amazing apple fritters and great hot dogs and Senors did really good Cuban food and is just across the road. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would stay there again...x

We evacuated during Hurricane Milton. Paula and her husband were especially accommodating. When we needed suggestions about what to do while we were there, Derek was especially knowledgeable. There is a small bar and a marketplace with a fantastic buffet (pay by the pound) about a block away. We would definitely stay again!!!!!@
