Alpine Inn And Suites

I’ve been staying at the Alpine Inn and Suites for over ten years. Parking is usually a challenge due to parking space size. We usually just manage and force our economical car into a spot that’s assigned. Last night wasn’t possible. The car behind where our car would have been took up too much roo . The hotel attendant assigned a different spot away from the room. Mobility is an issue but we touched it out and stayed anyway because of price and location.

Enjoyed the stay. 20 dollar parking seems too much if you’re already staying there.

Great hotel to stay at just needs more parking. There is plenty of street parking that was safe for us to park at for two nights with no problems.

Staff was simply applying management requirements, which are really questionnable (I have been asked to communicate my credit card details! First time ever). No way to make it an other way... Also got a caution in case of deterioration, while furnitures and bedroom were in bad shape and dirty.... I got urged to well park (10 dollars per day) my car in the correct zone within the lines (else we would get fine), but when we came back in the night someone was parked, we then realized the staff made a mistake with the allocation of the zone.

The Motel is easy to find about 1mile off Route 101. We stopped 3 nights. Each room has a parking space right outside the door. Check in was nice and easy and the guy was very polite and nice to deal with. Our room (Deluxe King Suite) was spacious.. clean.. big comfy bed.. fridge.. microwave.. TV.. toilet.. bath.. shower.. but was quite dated. All the furniture was old style wooden.. and abit tatty around the edges.. the room was for a couple.. but only one chair supplied.. and no built in USB's in any of the sockets for charging phones/tablets etc.. I had to go down to the local 'Dollar Tree' store (which was an experience in itself) and buy a couple of charging plugs. While we're on tech.. the WiFi was free but very weak.. I gave up on it in the end and just used my data. It is in Daly City so quite a few miles out from down town San Francisco.. This wasnt a problem for us as we had the hire car so drove in and out.. There is an electric tram service at the bottom of Geneva Avenue that runs to Chinatown. Its set back away from any main roads so is peaceful at night.. I slept well all three nights. Alpine Inn and Suites is a no frills get what you pay for motel.. its not at all bad.. but it could be better with abit of investment.

Basic Room…. Too light in mornings and a toaster would go astray…. Paying $10. Per night for parking outside you door is a joke….

Clean place. Easy to find. A good sprucing up of the shower would be fantastic! No vanity in the restroom. Parking is tight for larger vehicles

Sorry this is kinda long but I liked that the hotel was only a few minute walk from cow palace event center, it was really cute on the outside, and had a decent view of the ocean. But checking in took so long. There was a woman at the front desk and also an electronic kiosk that connected you to another agent in a different country? Who checked you in virtually. I’m sure the idea was to make it easier and faster? But that was not the case. There were so many steps and it was taking a long time. On top of that there were other people talking in the lobby so I had to keep asking the gentleman to repeat himself. They also charged me $10 for parking?? I’ve never had to pay for parking at a hotel that I was staying at before. When I asked him why I needed to pay for parking if I’m already paying for my reservation? I couldn’t really understand what he was saying but it was something about how it’s through a different company and something about Expedia?And lastly I booked a room with two queen beds, but they put us in a room with two full beds and seems like they did the same thing with another booking because there was a guest in the lobby at the same time as me and he brought it to the desk clerks attention, and she said something about if you book a queen room that means two full beds. So he told her well you guys should really put that on the website. She just shrugged.

Friendly staff but absolutely chaotic parking situation for which you are charged $10. Must be good at parallel parking in narrow spaces and was initially assign wrong spot. Then when i return later to correct spot it was occupied. Also my room key failed so had to get a replacement

This hotel without letting anyone know until you walk in the front door and have already booked that they charge you $10 to park in their parking lot which doesn't make any sense in a motel this should be on their splash page

Clean room, quiet, great location.

During check-in the attendant wasn’t the friendliest, very muted demeanor. First thing we saw when we walked in was a roach near the window! Then when we walk in the bathroom there was another on the wall! There wasn’t any soap in the dispensers for the sink and the shower. This place has really gone down hill since our last visit pre-covid.

Forget it . Bed sheet not replaced. Comes with hardwater stain. Very yellowish. Bathroom and mirror door broken. Room smells unhumidified or clothes not completely dried up. Tv not working. Dark area at night kind of sketchy. No front desk. 24/7 Even on checking in on phone prior coming. No 1 answers. Net sucks. Blow dryer not working idk i ended up sleeping on thanksgiving with a friends house on the floor. As i reject to sleep on a dirty linen unchanged

Cleanliness is of utmost importance to me and the place seemed clean and well-maintained. The building was pleasant looking and the staff was nice. Honestly one can't ask for more at this price point.

We have stayed here at least 12 times to visit our child at SFSU. The lasagne we stayed will be the last. It’s just so rundown. The cloth headboards are DISGUSTINGLY dirty. I think I was dirtier after the shower. No fault of the maid service but when the shower stall is crumbling it’s impossible to clean. Too bad with some upkeep it’s a really cute hotel with easy access. 😕

Nice quiet place to spend the night. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly.

You can find much better rooms for the price. Really run down room. Bed felt like sleeping on a board. There were also stains on the headboard and mattress that looked like blood. Terrible lighting. They had two lamps in the room and only one of them had a lightbulb. Stains all over the walls. Black mold in the shower. Staff was RUDE. Man at the front desk acted like I was annoying him by checking in and out. They charge a $10 parking fee for literally no reason. Praying I didn't get bed bugs by staying here. So many stains in the room that I thought cockroaches would for sure show up but thankfully they didn't. Go find a Motel 6 or something cleaner at this price range.

Big room, comfortable, quiet.

Inside room is super cold and the room with the heater is so noisy. The cleanness is ok.

The television was broken and the WiFi had a very weak signal so it was challenging to get any work done.

Check in was quick. Our room was clean and spacious. We loved that the 2nd queen bed was in a separate bedroom. Perfect location for an event at the Cow Palace. Within walking distance. Would definately stay here again.

Good place to stay while on transit. But the wifi is horrible

Far from the fanciest place i've stayed in the Bay but the price was very reasonable and my room was large and comfortable.

Everything is VERY old and dingy. But everything worked well. Cable sucked and WiFi sucked.

Front Desk agent was Super friendly and even though the signage to web page says check in till 10:30pm, when I call he says he would wait for me. But unfortunately, there were a few unpleasantries. One, there was a distinct odor ( maybe Indian food) and tv did not work.

Property is cute bungalow style rooms. Convenience with parking. Clean rooms. Cons:TV didn’t work and management said they need to contact cable company so no cable tv. Shower was broken unable to shower due to just a light stream coming out of shower head. Management would or answer to assist with shower, so no shower and had to go to a business meeting! All bad!

Staff was extremely helpful, communication and service was above and beyond. My company will continue to stay here for the remainder of our work project and or any others we may have in the area.

The room was fine, clean and decent. The check in took forever, 12 steps the guy William said. Each one, very slow. I stayed for 2 days, left 1 day, came back for 3 days. Had to do everything all over again. My home address hadn't changed in 2 days, but had to fill out everything. The worst I've ever experienced anywhere in 29 countries.

We’ve been staying here randomly for ten years. Price is great. Check in is easy and the staff are very helpful and courteous.

No one at the reception through the day

I can honestly say that this hotel has had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. It started with having to check in on a kiosk with someone that was located off site. The check in process was very inefficient and we weren’t even given room keys after paying extra for early check-in because the card dispenser wasn’t working. There was someone parked in our assigned parking space, but no staff on site to resolve the issue, so we had to walk around the property to find out whose car it was. The main reason why we chose this hotel was because we were attending a concert at Cow Palace, so when we came back to the hotel late at night, a line of people who hadn’t been given room keys during check in were queued at reception. Instead of just issuing a room key, the staff person was redoing the entire checkin process and paperwork for each person. This unnecessary and lengthy process meant we didn’t get back into our room until almost midnight. The room itself was just ok—very dated and not much upkeep. One positive note was that the checkout process was quick because we were leaving early in the morning and didn’t have to wait in another line at reception.

Location unique. Did not like doing business with a "Virtual Agent" No appreciation for rude unprofessional person (s) working onsite as staff. Check in was very time consuming, process took approximately 25 minutes. No desire to return nor recommend.

Vipel (excuse me if misspelled) was very helpful in getting us checked in at an inconvenient hour. His customer service ensured that we will return to this hotel if we are ever needing to stay in the area again.

Bad wifi and no one there could help me. Came to the front office several times and it was locked or no one was there. Hidden fees all over the place, $100 to get the room I booked because it was a king? 10 a day to park?

Had an event at cow palace. Walking distance is super convenient. Easy parking, $10. Old rooms, thin sheets & pillows. Good if you’re just looking for a clean bed and cow palace event.

Great place near San Francisco Airport

Place is nice. Area is ok. I wouldn’t walk around too much at night if you can avoid it but if you had to you would be fine.

In the middle of nowhere right across the street from the cow Palace, you walk out and you see it. It’s kind of cool iconic building to wake up to every morning that part of it was super cool, but it’s miles from anything to eat.

We like staying here because it is very cute and we can catch the bus straight down to the wharf. It only cost $3 round trip. Very convenient.

Location was great for our concert at the cow palace, but otherwise it’s pretty old and needs some sprucing up.

It's surprisingly quiet. The parking is good. It's convenient for getting to places. Price is good.

Everything was great... easy check-in, a great location (quiet, nice park within walking distance), easy on-site parking (my car was right in front of my room), and just fifteen minutes to downtown SF. I will definitely stay there again.

Room was clean, it’s not the best hotel but if you plan on going to cow palace this is the only option! Would recommend views were nice, staff was nice and the venue was about a 5 min walk:) it’s the bare minimum, bring your own everything basically, but gets the job done!

I would suggest adding a vending machine

This inn is adequate. It’s shabby, but clean and quiet. The beds aren’t great, but again, adequate. The front desk is not manned most of the time. They are switching over to having no one at the reception desk at all and using a kiosk system instead, which I don’t care for. It is in a nice part of town but not near any amenities at all. The drive to the parks was easy though. There was no coffee in the reception srea as the website stated. Despite my lukewarm review, i would probably stay there again.

I stayed here 4 years ago and had a good experience and that is why I chose to stay here again. It is out of the way of the major traffic areas which makes it easier to drive in and out of the parking lot. It's located in a quiet area of Daily City but not far from the places I need to go to when I am in the City. It was a nice little French place, simple but clean, no extra frills and they had croissants and coffee in the morning. It's under new ownership now. On the outside it is nice and clean looking. Inside it is a little more shabby, it just didn't feel as nice and I did not find the staff to be very nice. We had plumbing problems in our bathroom and shower. There was a parking issue because someone in the office did not document things properly. I don't think I will stay there again.

The exterior is cute and quaint. Looks like beach houses, but no beach in sight. Daly City is not San Francisco, making food access limited. You need a car if you want to eat or plan to spend a lot in delivery fees. There isn’t a cafe, just a mural of one. The room needs an upgrade. My curtains were falling down. Broken tile along the baseboards in the bathroom. The front window didn’t have a screen and the screen in the bathroom wasn’t secured. The door does not have an additional lock. The bed is a double, not a queen. My room was missing towels. Overall, it was okay for a night, but not a shining bright way to start my vacation.

A couple things: Some of us are caffeine sensitive and the only coffee they had was caffeinated. Also there were no vending machines on site, had to drive down the hill to a little market
