Very late check in but staff were on hand to assist. Room was spacious although a bit of a drain smell in bathroom. Everything else was fines as you’d expect. You also get 30% off drinks and food in bar.

The Woodman Hotel is a great place to stay. I felt lucky to find in for my recent trip. The rooms are comfortable with great beds and shows. They're large and easy to move around in with great amenities like a TV and a kettle. Note, there is no air conditioning or lift, but that's common in London hotels. They have fans and windows that are easy to open to manage the rare times it gets hot in London in the summer. Each room also has a chair and a desk and management informed me that they're working to add nightstands in the rooms. The service is top-notch. Everyone will go out of their way to help you however they can, whether that's helping you with your bags, allowing you to check bags at the desk and securely store them, etc. You also receive a 30% discount in The Woodman Pub downstairs, which is a great deal. The pub has a great menu, great options for beer and other drinks, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Two things to note that they list in their hotel description but that seem to get overlooked is that wifi is only available in the common areas, so if you get a room on the top floor, it likely won't reach that far, but they say it on the website. Also, there is no 24 hour front desk but you can call the after hours number and they'll send directions if you need to check in before they open. Outstanding experience! Highly recommend it!

Hanging out above a pub. What good be better? It reminded me of a rustic pub we had stayed in years ago with our young children and my shocked Mom She and the girls were all troopers!

Great stay at a fantastic hotel. Be advised, the WiFi is awful, in most of the rooms, so make sure you have a good data plan on your phone. Staff is friendly, food is very good and football on TV. This is my go-to when staying in Wimbledon, so I have been staying here irregularly for over 2 year during which time, they have been “going to fix” the WiFi.

From waiting 20 mins to get checked in, to the strong smell of food, to the super annoying electronic lock, to the leak coming through the ceiling to the general air of tiredness this was an experience to forget. Image shows the light coming in the window next to the bed at 5am - a pretty effective early alarm!

We went to the theatre and decided to book a one night stay at the Woodman Hotel. It was easy to check in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect. They had provided everything we needed for our stay in the room and even offered a 30% discount to use for food and drinks in their pub. Will definitely be booking again!

Not value for money Paid oner £700 for double room for 2 nights! No breakfast available . Bedroom not made up. No facilities available because of a private party. Diske at party so loud it was impossible to sleep. This is NOT a Hotel ! it is a pub with rooms above.

Pros: Close to train, grocery store, 30 min walk to Wimbledon. Cons: At least for room 202 had stains on carpet, the bathroom facilities didn’t work properly and while it was recently renovated there was live wires exposed which made it feel like it wasn’t finished properly.

Checked in at the Woodman Hotel in the afternoon because I had a wedding party to attend in the evening. The receptionist was a lovely lady. She was very welcoming. My room was beautiful. 10 out of 10. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable and the toilet and bathroom was sparkling. I was very impressed with my room. Infact when I got into the room my first reaction was wow. It was beautiful. Everywhere was clean. Clean towels clean beddings. Slept very well. I would give a rating of excellent. Well done.

Very disappointed, recent room/bathroom renovation is qualitative and nice, but unfortunately the owners aren’t focused on cleaning… carpets, walls & doors, everything is dirty due to poor cleaning and maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel is NOTHING like the picture; I was put in about an 80 square foot loft with 4 foot ceilings and no A/C, so it was over 90 degrees F each night. They did give me two fans which minimally helped, but what an awful experience. The hotel has no front desk, it is actually a pub with a few rooms being rented out above. The carpet looked like animals had done their business all over it, being completely stained and gross.

The hotel is in a great location right near the tube. The staff were really helpful, even letting us get ready in another room until ours was free. The rooms were spotless (I think they are all very new.) We knew we would be back late, but luckily they have 24 hour help. The food in the pub was also great. The staff were so friendly, I would stay here again next time I am in London without a doubt!

We stayed 2 nights .Not only was the room with the slanted ceiling terribly hot,the sky light window didn’t have a screen thus pigeon feather floated on our heads all night! Carpet was stained and looked like mold in the shower .Yes Anna is a sweet host yet had we known our room was like that ,not like the pictures …we would never have booked there !

This is literally some hotel rooms behind a pub and the photos completely misrepresent the size of the rooms. The room was barely bigger than the double bed. There is no way to control the room temp and the staff leaves every night after the pub closes and the hotel guests are locked in. We left Sunday morning at 8am (not an unreasonable hour) and there were no employees around.

The rooms are above the pub and look really new and modern. Pro's : Modern, clean, lots of room, velux windows (although believe each room is unique), bed comfortable, big bathroom and shower. Con's : TV took a while to figure out, intermittent vibrations caused by passing trains. Overall, happy with the stay and would return.

The room was huge and the hotel were very accommodating to our needs and gave us a late check out. The only issue in the room was that the curtain was broken and couldn’t be closed but luckily we all had our sleep masks with us

The room is neat with thoughtful furnishings. The staff is helpful and accommodating. The hotel is easily accessible by tube and the neighbourhood is pleasant and safe.

The Woodsman Hotel– Pub I was in a hurry when I ordered this Pub (Hotel) for upcoming business travel. And the reason that I say Pub, is that in order to enter the Hotel section of this establishment. You have to walk through the Pub and into the back-office, to enter the reception area. From there you walk a narrow stair up to where the rooms are. It's basically a Pub that has been cheaply renovated into a Hotel. I arrived late, a little to 2300 and was not greeted very well upon reception. Upon entering the first night, the room was, as it looked on the pictures. But it was seriously hot inside, and there was no AC, and it looked rough and shabby. There was light and sound coming from the hallway into the room itself. And the walls are very thin, you can hear everything from the nearby rooms. I woke several times the first night due to noise. And since it was hot in the room, the windows were open. Which resulted in a lot of noise Ambulance and/or Police. The bed was Ok at best. So a bad night turned sour in the morning when I noticed I did not have any Shampoo, Conditioner or Shower Gel. I walked down and although my colleague said Breakfast was good, it looked shabby. So I went to work and got a coffee outside. Upon my return from business and dinner ca. 2300. The room is still quite hot, and there is still no Shampoo etc. And my room had not been made up. I walk down and get the Shampoo etc. – more annoyed than ever. Finally asleep, I am woken by an individual goin

The Woodman hotel is an excellent choice for exploring the London experience. Anna greeted us warmly and did everything possible to ensure our stay was enjoyable, especially when one family member needed to go to hospital. I could not fault her commitment to helping in every possible way.

Very welcoming staff,good food and drink. Room had a great shower. Went there for a music event staff didn’t want ticket money as I was staying!!! Did need to go anywhere so can’t comment on the area. I’ll be back thank you.

We loved The Woodman. It was everything we were looking for. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff on reception and in the pub were fantastically helpful and we enjoyed both a dinner and breakfast which were very tasty. Should we need to stay in the area again we would definitely be back, thank you.
