Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The property was not what I had expected it seemed rather isolated. There was no walking along the lakeshore it is just the beach in front of the hotel. When I went to the desk to ask for a second key I was told they were out of keys and also there was no soap, I feel like this is something that should never happen at a hotel. The pizza we ordered at the restaurant was very good! However the service was not great and even after remaking the pizza the order was not correct. Overall the stay was fine, but based on this visit would not make a point to return.

The breakfast had no protein options. The restaurant could not help all the patrons so you had long waits. The food was bad. No towels at the pool area. Our room was never cleaned.

We really enjoyed our overall stay at Lakeside Resort and Conference Center! The outside amenities are fantastic—the grounds are well-kept, there’s plenty to do outdoors, and the setting makes it very easy to relax and enjoy the resort. The inside of the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. The only reason for taking off one star is that our balcony was completely taken over by giant spiders and webs, to the point where we unfortunately couldn't step out and use it at all. While being right near the water naturally attracts bugs, a quick power wash or pest sweep of the balconies before check-in would make a big difference. That aside, the outdoor spaces and amenities more than made up for it, and we’d definitely consider staying here again!

The hotel needs a little maintenance. One of the light switches were missing a cover on the switch, a lamp did not have a bulb or switch knob, the smoke detector had a bag over it and paint was chipped off the drywall in the bathroom. The hotel only does maid service every other day.
