The property was very nice and quit. The pool table was not on any condition to play on which was kind of disappointed. The pool was heated so that was nice. The only other thing i would have to complain about was there was only one wine glass and the one wine glass was plastic and all scratched up. Very disappointing. Over all the place was nice, nothing fancy at all just comfortable which was perfect for us.

The accommodations were suitable for a budget hotel but it wasn't quite the idyllic retreat that we were expecting (e.g. as suggested by the image of the hotel pool in the Expedia listing). The overall place is a bit run down. For example: front gate is broken, large dead tree branches on the ground, the billiards table was ratty, the hot tub wasn't hot, the pool had debris in it. The room was decent and clean. Not a bad place, but plenty of room to improve.

Float was old school and had a great vibe with a heated pool, hot tub, bbq, pool table, and plenty of chaise lounges. The rooms were large and comfortable and having a kitchen was a huge plus.

The property was a perfect location and parking was right in front. The grounds were quiet and it seemed like nobody was there. The only thing is that the pool and spa were dirty from the trees and dirt had a layer on the water. You couldn’t turn on the bubbler for the jacuzzi cause they removed the knob. It was uncomfortable trying to relaxin in the pool or jacuzzi because all the stuff floating in the water. The chairs and cushions all showed their age and need a cleaning or replacements. Overall I other than the cheap rate I got I wouldn’t be staying there again. The room was clean and no problem inside.

I loved it , it’s perfect, play pool even though the pool sticks didn’t have stop it was still fun the pool was super clean the jacuzzi too!! It’s was awesome the ambience was amazing the only thing I can say is the Wi-Fi needs to be upgraded

Checking in went okay once we got settled in we tried watching tv and it did not connect to the service. Then the pool was not the cleanest and the jacuzzi was not working at all. My husband went to go ask about the jacuzzi and the only nice thing they did was let us know we could use the pool next door, their sister property. It was soo much better. My husband asked if we could be switched since we were on our honeymoon and they offered with an additional $150 fee. I said we could just walk over. Now the bed definitely needs to be replaced it was caved in on one side. I would recommend to book elsewhere

I went here for a one night solo trip that I really never do. The hotel was super peaceful and quiet. Exactly what I was looking for. I loved the cabanas and hot tub. There were no big floats in the pool (as pictured). No big deal. The downsides were that the ice machine wasn't working. I couldn't find an office or staff to ask. I had a hummingbird die right in front of my door 2hrs into me arriving. So sad. I actually brought it to a more peaceful spot because I couldn't find anyone working. They put me in the back next to the supply room. I had my service dog who just had knee surgery, so he isn't fully himself. In the morning, he barked a few times from the cleaners passing my room constantly. I ran into the owner or maybe manager. I felt like he was a little harsh. He said it wasn't a pet friendly hotel. I explained he was a service dog and I even called to make sure the hotel knew when I booked. And they assured me on the phone that it was fine. We went back and forth. He had me put the leash back on my 15lb dog, which I offered of course. But there was literally no one by the pool. Overall, I had a nice experience. But the very end with me feeling like I got in trouble wasn't fun. So be very careful if you are bringing a service dog. And just a friendly reminder to the manager or owner, that many disabilities are invisible. Thank you for the fun little 20hr getaway from San Diego :)

Overall, I felt that Float is a quaint and cutesy hotel. It is in a quiet, relaxing area of Palm Springs (I was here during the week). The rooms, hotel grounds, pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. Here are the issues: 1. mattress was not comfortable. It is a plush mattress on the verge of needing replacement. 2. Rooms are not sound proof as described: I could hear occasional talking and door/drawer slamming from the rooms on either side of me. 3. Fountain by the pool was broken. It worked, but leaked water. 4. The fire pit was out of propane and/or inoperable. 5. Two of the pool floats were completely deflated. 6. Noticed pool table felt was tattered and torn. Balls and cues were nowhere to be found. Maybe these were in the office? 7. Some of the pool lounger cushions were also tattered/torn. 8. Outdoor throw pillow covers needed to be washed. Some seemed a little dirty. 9. There were ping pong paddles, but no table or ball. 10. There were paddle ball paddles, but no ball. 11. There are barbecue grill tools but no grill on site, unless the fire pit can be used as a grill. 12. No bicycle rentals as stated in the listing. Other than these minor issues, I liked this hotel and may stay here again. The cabanas are a nice feature.

The Float is a lovely little property that is a bit rough around the edges but the pool, rooms and common areas are clean and friendly. I found the bed to be insanely comfy, I slept really well! The rooms are huge and most I think have kitchens and full refrigerators. The pool was clean and although older, the cabanas were comfortable with good shade of you like. The ice machine is small but worked fine when in the 114F heat! This is a less expensive property but for the money I'd definitely go back. It's nicely secluded and not on our near busy streets.

I want to start by saying this is a cute property with tons of potential. The staff was kind and responsive—when I reported a clogged bathroom sink, it was addressed promptly, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues that made the stay less enjoyable. The towels had visible bleach stains, and I had to specifically request a washcloth and hand towel, which should have been standard. Housekeeping is only available upon request, and despite asking for service on Sunday, it never happened. The hot tub and ice machine were both out of order. The sectional by the pool had peeling paint, and the koi pond was so overgrown with algae that the fish were barely visible. In my room, there was a noticeable 4x4 hole in the shower ceiling that clearly needed repair. I chose a queen bed room since I was traveling solo, but the view was disappointing—just a neighboring building that looked directly into the office. Throughout the day and into the evening, I could hear the office door opening and closing, which was disruptive. Reviews about this property are very misleading. When I got there, the door was open and there was a hole on it. Pool was dirty, and many things were broken. My showerhead was broken when i asked nicely to fix it. They only put tape on it, which it didn’t fix the problem, it ended up falling anyways.The bathtub was old and dirty. But People out front were very nice though.At the end of the day you get what you pay for.

We booked a deluxe room, which was terribly outdated, the kitchen had mouse droppings, there was trash from previous guests, there was ONE fork to speak of, the bathtub had rusted holes in it. It was just terrible, and the mouse kept coming back and stealing sugar packets, and leaving droppings all over the counters were we supposed to prepare food. We had to cut our stay short, and the hotel never refunded us our money, nor did hotels.com do anything to help us. Just TERRIBLE experience. Never Float and never hotels.com again

Stayed for two weeks Jan 14 - 28 2023. The place was exceptionally clean. The fixtures were cleaned as was the shower curtains and every nook and crany was wiped down. The furniture is tired and dated but well looked after. Our bed was comfortable. We had a small kitchen that was functional but the kitchen items are a bit tired as well. The location was within walking distance to downtown and the bus service was easy to use. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help or answer any questions. My two warnings would be that the walls are thin so talk quietly and if you have any animal alergies or fears be aware that there are cats and dogs on site. Otherwise it is a very lovely place and we would book it again.

A 1 bedroom suite was booked for 3 nights and on the first night I found a dish drying rack and it had fresh rat pee and droppings and dried pee and droppings as well. They refused to switch my room until I paid a $100 deposit that was a surprised to me after almost $600 for 3 days. Then we had issues with roaches in the bathroom and the kitchen/living room. Wouldn't recommend staying here. Spend the extra and go across the street to Santiago much better conditions and environment.

Would not stay here again, not a pleasant experience. WiFi was spotty, rats and roaches by the pool. Killed a fat roach in my room. The front door shutters would not close, anyone could peak through into our room. Gate seemed to always be opened, random people kept coming in and out at night. Back door knob was toggled at night while in the room.

Not the best hotel we have stayed at. We were put in a cell of a room with no outdoor window (small window to hall where someone kept smoking outside it) Got charged a $35 “Resort Fee”overtop of room charge and tax. Rip off. For the price and amenities. ( no breakfast) not good value

Hotel was nice upon arrival, but once in the room (we stayed in the Float House) you could hear everything going on outside from the washing machines and vacuuming VERY early, to the staff talking. The room was a great size, but had he room had very poor ventilation and the beds were extremely soft. the WiFi was almost nonexistent. The property itself was cute and a great location, maybe another room woud have been better.

Small, cubbyhole room #2 tucked in a corner of the property. Gate entry code plus 2 more door codes needed to access the room. Modern bathroom with nice tiled shower and plenty of hot water. Microwave and refrigerator in good operating condition. Room AC unit worked well, but very loud. Large screen TV with remote. Ceiling fan and light with remote. Dresser with 6 drawers plus open closet space with numerous wire shelves. Quality towels & bed linens. Shabby pool towels. Limited electric outlets. Bring extension cords and plugs. Pool area, cabanas, lounges, entry gate, etc need major renovations and upgrades.

The neighborhood was good, felt safe coming back after dinner. I did like that the entrance to the property was locked, so there weren't people on the property who didn't belong there. I was in room 2 and the entrance to the room is a little sketchy. There is a coded lock to enter an exterior door into a tiny hall, then there are 4 doors off of this hall. One is for the room and has another coded lock. Then there is an employee-only bathroom right beside the motel room, and I heard employees coming and going several times during the evening while I was getting ready for bed. I don't know where the other 2 doors led to, but there weren't other motel rooms. The shower head was spraying across the glass shower wall and hitting the ceiling; they need to fix that asap or they'll have serious damage (which there is some already in the corner of the shower ceiling). The linens and towels were clean and good quality. There were a few basic toiletries, a smart TV, small fridge, microwave, and generous closet. I did love the pool and courtyard area. Since it's a small property, there aren't many people using the pool at once, and it was able to soak up the sun completely undisturbed. Overall, the property and furnishings are in need of some serious maintenance. For the price, and since I was only staying one night, it was completely fine for me. But I wouldn't have been satisfied to stay there for a whole 5-7 night vacation. With some work, it'll be a great little property!

This property was in a very nice neighborhood. It is located in a safe and very quiet area. The unit itself was big and very spacious. It’s almost like a air bnb. Unfortunately the pool was very dirty and we couldn’t use it. One of the kitchen cabinets was broken. The door from one of the rooms was also broken. Overall it was a very nice and quiet stay but the place is in need of a remodel.

The property is amazing, usually very quiet and always a relaxing oasis. This time I stayed in a room that was wedged between a high traffic service area for employees and the “front desk” office, which the only window in the room faced the “front desk” office. I heard door slamming and conversation about maintenance orders most of the day. Luckily I was out of my room as much as I could but the door slamming was my morning wake up call. Also also, note to maintain unit 2 has a crack in the bathroom ceiling. Next time I will request to be away from the front desk but will definitely be returning.

This is a quiet little place very out-of-the-way very low-key. It’s only got about 10 or 11 rooms. It sits back against the mountains with a really nice view is actually a pretty cool place when I was in my room the AC went out And they immediately moved me to another room. The staff was very helpful here. I will probably stay here again.

We booked here for 3 day Power Trip festival. Arrived Thurs, left Monday. Self check-in done through email. No hassles. Very cute, simple, small property of 12 rooms. Obviously property used to be an apt complex in the 50's/60's. Property is private from street, great pool/hot tub, even though small property there is plenty of space outside to enjoy the weather. Anytime i needed anything i text number provided. I would stay here again. 5 min drive to downtown PS. If you want personal and simple accommodations, this is a great place. One con: property has no sign to identify itself. Felt sketchy going in a locked gate without being sure. I hope they get a sign soon.

Everything was great except the way you have to Check-in. They want you to Check-in with your phone. Give them another credit card after. You've already paid with a credit card and there's no one there to check you in. There's no desk. There's no nothing if I didn't catch the employee working walking in the parking lot. I would have never got in once you get in. It's amazing, clean, nice pool. Friendly staff.

Personless check in was a pain in the ass. Thank goodness the guy finally came out and checked us in. The online approach didn’t work and I will not stay anywhere that doesn’t care enough to check me in. Ultimately he did! Enough with online transactions that require you to do everything on line.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP This place is a scam and there are soooo many nicer places in the area for a much better price. Float has touchless check-in which is fine, but there is NO ONE to help you if there is an issue and oh boy were there issues: bed was unclean (visibly filthy sheets and pillows AND found a sock and a bag of DRUGS in the bed!!) and there is so much wear and tear on all the VERY SMALL rooms. A homeless guy wandered into the property and tired to get into rooms and was harassing people and another guest had to kick him out because there were NO STAFF around. They also have the NERVE to charge a $25 "facilities fee" on top of the room charge that they don't tell you about. Like why else would you book there other than to use the pool?? This place is a DUMP and a SCAM.

Our check in time was 4PM and our room was not ready until almost 6PM. The hotel never contacted me to let me know we wouldn't be able to check in on time. When we arrived at 3PM I called because I never recieved any check-in instructions after registering online and was told it would be between 30 and 45 minutes until the room would be ready. We came back just past 4PM and I had to again reach out for an update.

Honestly a decent property with a good enough room. Something to note that isn't listed on Expedia is a $25 per night 'resort fee' that is not mentioned until after you book the room. Also, check your check in is done online before getting to the property because there are no on site staff.

The area of Palm Springs was nice. It just seemed to have a lot of displaced people around constantly the front gate, which was supposed to have a code was never really closed. People would come and go pretty freely sketchy people.

I needed a less expensive one night resort for my first evening in Palm Springs. I didn’t have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised at how well maintained and clean the property was. The pool area is relaxing and has great views of the mountains. My room was very basic but clean and comfortable with a great walk-in shower (and a large walk-in closet!) along with mini fridge and microwave. The checkin process all done via text and email was very organized and timely with clear easy-to-follow instructions. The hotel is in a great area directly across from Santiago Resort.

The Float is a lovely little property that is a bit rough around the edges but the pool, rooms and common areas are clean and friendly. I found the bed to be insanely comfy, I slept really well! The rooms are huge and most I think have kitchens and full refrigerators. The pool was clean and although older, the cabanas were comfortable with good shade of you like. The ice machine is small but worked fine when in the 114F heat! This is a less expensive property but for the money I'd definitely go back. It's nicely secluded and not on our near busy streets.

Me and my husband stayed in room 10 and we had a tough night. It started with a confusing check-in, in a poorly lit alley under flickering lights at 9:30 at night ( Look for the email they send you with check in instructions that require a hoop to jump). We had finally got into the room and the room was dreadfully hot (we are used to heat we live in Joshua tree). The fan remote was missing for our stay and the AC was off. The AC randomly turned off by itself 3 times during the night of our stay. The kitchen area was horrendously hot ( plus side I didn’t know there was a kitchenette when I booked) these units have an OLD small wall AC that doesn’t circulate through to the whole unit. There was no toilet paper so we had to ask another room who was at the pool if they had an extra since staff isn’t around. We had no soap and the shampoo bottle was empty. We also found two dead roaches and one alive and I have pictures of that. ( there is still a dead roach behind the brown chair in room 10 as I was too grossed out to grab it). We went swimming to give the AC time to cool the room down but pool was bath water warm, not clean and the pool does not look like the ad AT ALL!! Missing canopies, one sad pool noodle, amenities were unkept and DIRTY. Saw Someone collapse by the pool, no staff around to help. We went back inside and slept on top of the bedding (must say your beds are comfortable) but we could see the mattress and box spring was stained. Hate that I had to write this!

There was no toilet paper so we had to ask another room who was at the pool if they had an extra since staff isn’t around. We had no soap and the shampoo bottle was empty. We also found two dead roaches and one alive and I have pictures of that. ( there is still a dead roach behind the brown chair in room 10 as I was too grossed out to grab it). We went swimming to give the AC time to cool the room down but pool was bath water warm, not clean and the pool does not look like the ad AT ALL!! Missing canopies, one sad pool noodle, amenities were unkept and DIRTY. Saw Someone collapse by the pool, no staff around to help. We went back inside and slept on top of the bedding (must say your beds are comfortable) but we could see the mattress and box spring was stained. Hate that I had to write this!

One word. Yucky, run diwn, dirty. Broken front gate. Pool was dirty, found hair, bugs & leaves. Jacuzzi doesn't work. No towels for the pool and the lock for the for the bathroom was literally falling off. Pool table looked like somebody died on it. *please save yourself the hepatitis, and don't go here...Ever.
