It was such a wonderful experience staying at Meadow Rise! The host and hostess were so nice and friendly. It was like a sanctuary only a couple blocks off the main road. The views out our window of the meadow and the animals were spectacular. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated. We did not drive a car but there was plenty of parking. The homemade breakfast was out of this world- the best one we had while we were in England. I would definitely stay here again while visiting the beautiful Cotswolds!!

Bare 5-6 minutters gange fra det yrende sommerlivet i Bourton-on-the-water ligger dette idylliske stedet. Deilig hjemmelaget frokost, og på kveldene satt vi i hagen og nøt stillheten. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit neste gang vi skal til Cotswolds området.

Wonderful location with a 3 min walk into the lively hustle & bustle of Bourton on the water. Lovely clean accomodation with views accross fields from our window. Our hosts were very friendly & cooked an awesome full english breakfast for us every morning. Plenty of parking space on their large driveway too. Wonderful, thankyou

It was very peaceful and nice view looking at the sheep Owners very welcoming and friendly Room was ok no tv but knew that when we booked they did have a big tv downstairs you could watch Breakfast could be a little bigger but all in all fine Would return again as a lovely couple

We stayed here in June 2025 and loved it! The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel like part of the family. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the center. Everything was easy to reach and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The only thing that kept it from being super AMAZING is that we only had 2 days to spend there! The charm of the guest house, our room, the location and of course the hosts was unsurpassed. The breakfast totally satisfying to start the days journey. There was no TV but surprisingly we didn’t care because the phenomenal view from our room looked upon a serene field of sheep and stunning white horses. Impeccably clean and well maintained. A very short walk to the vibrant village with super shops and eateries. Of course the icing on the cake is Clive and Wendy, the amazing hosts who made us feel like we were home. We want to go back!

Although it is described as a 'guest house' rather than a 'hotel', the room was better than in many hotels I have stayed in, and the ensuite bathroom was absolutely first rate -- with both a bath and a shower, and excellent water pressure. All spotlessly clean, and with abundant natural light. Breakfast was excellent and the cooked component was prepared for each guest individually. Location could hardly be better! 'Off the beaten track' -- but the hustle and busy-ness of Bourton-on-the-Water is just a couple of minutes' walk away. (Maybe 90 seconds.) Only breakfast is served on the property -- but this is not an issue given the abundance of restaurants and pubs just nearby. The owner/managers, Wendy and Clive, have beautful auras of warmth and welcome and joy. They really 'make' the place what it is. I can imagine spending a few days here in peaceful seclusion and isolation to finish my next book -- maybe I will! Imran Ahmad unimagined org

The hosts were wonderful! We loved our room with the meadow view! Breakfast was tasty and you cannot beat the location- on the edge of town so it was quiet, yet literally a two minute walk into town. Loved it!

We stayed here in June 2025 and loved it! The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel like part of the family. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the center. Everything was easy to reach and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wonderful location with a 3 min walk into the lively hustle & bustle of Bourton on the water. Lovely clean accomodation with views accross fields from our window. Our hosts were very friendly & cooked an awesome full english breakfast for us every morning. Plenty of parking space on their large driveway too. Wonderful, thankyou

The hosts were wonderful! We loved our room with the meadow view! Breakfast was tasty and you cannot beat the location- on the edge of town so it was quiet, yet literally a two minute walk into town. Loved it!

Absolutely delightful! Although it is described as a 'guest house' rather than a 'hotel', the room was better than in many hotels I have stayed in, and the ensuite bathroom was absolutely first rate -- with both a bath and a shower, and excellent water pressure. All spotlessly clean, and with abundant natural light. Breakfast was excellent and the cooked component was prepared for each guest individually. Location could hardly be better! 'Off the beaten track' -- but the hustle and busy-ness of Bourton-on-the-Water is just a couple of minutes' walk away. (Maybe 90 seconds.) Only breakfast is served on the property -- but this is not an issue given the abundance of restaurants and pubs just nearby. The owner/managers, Wendy and Clive, have beautful auras of warmth and welcome and joy. They really 'make' the place what it is. I can imagine spending a few days here in peaceful seclusion and isolation to finish my next book -- maybe I will! Imran Ahmad unimagined org

Our room was perfect! Large, comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was delicious, homemade shortbread and other in house baked treats. Then eggs, bacon, sausage…. The hosts are beyond wonderful!! Fun, engaging, accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Et lite og koselig gjestehus, som var lett tilgjengelig med bil. Hyggelig vertsskap og trivelig rom. Veldig kjekt at det var parkering på gårdsplassen. Huset ligger få minutters gåtur til sentrum. Vi var der to netter, hadde en fin dag i vakre Bourton on the water, hvor vi også gikk turstien til Lower Slaughter og Upper Slaughter. Anbefales!

Clive and Wendy were excellent hosts. Clive's witt and British humor were most refreshing. It was clean and only had 5 rooms so it was quiet as well. Clive makes a wonderful British breakfast and Wendy was around in the morning to bring as me as much coffee that I could drink. 😊
