The rooms were ok and very clean. The decoration of the hotel is eclectic and well thought. The valet parking is very complicated. Specially because the valets dont move the cars from the front of the hotel as often as they should.

Very good experience! Hotel is lovely and a great location. Staff was very nice (Jalen and Ike were both outstanding!). The restaurant and lounge options are fabulous! Loved the social club ambiance and the views! Room was a little snug but fine for a night or two, and we did not have a view. The only real negative was the overwhelming scent in our room. I know all nice properties are into their “scent” but our room was overpowered by the smell, and it is reminiscent of men’s cologne which can be harsh if you are sensitive to smells. Also, a heads up that there is no dedicated parking for the hotel and that guests should just take advantage of the valet would have been helpful in advance.

Fantastic hotel in Denver!!! Great location and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Everything is first class and the staff was amazing. Chez Maggy is also absolutely fabulous. This is the place to stay in Denver and we will return soon!!!

Comfortable, clean and modern. Gym is a bit small but bright, clean and good equipment; suitable for a full workout. Service was overall good, chaotic check in though. We looked at other more expensive options and were satisfied with the value of this hotel.

The website clearly says they valet oversized vehicles. I even called a few days ahead to double check and they confirmed they DO vallet oversize vehicles. Upon arival they do not. I then stepped on a broken shard of glass in the “cleaned” hotel room. They offered nothing to compensate me.

Really great stay for a conference in town. Conveniently located. All areas of the hotel were very clean. Smells great when you walk in. Room was comfortable and plenty of room. Appreciated the smaller details - motion lights under the closet, changing of the floor mats based on the time of day, weather forecast updates at turn down service. Breakfast at Chez Maggy was also enjoyable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is elegant and the rooms have a luxury feel to them. Nicely decorated throughout. My only complaint is that no one told us about the loud music that can be heard through the walls from the club on floor 6. Avoid rooms on floor 5 at all cost unless you like listening to loud music until midnight.

Our room was unfortunately on 2nd level and we could hear the noise from the restaurant & lobby, music etc. until about 2am on Friday and Saturday. Other than that, the property was amazing, very friendly staff, very accommodating. Would stay here again, but higher levels.

This hotel was very nice! Everything is updated being that it only opened a few years ago! We walked to almost everything! Staff was great. My only thing was I could hear everything late at night (people talking etc) which kept me up other than that the stay was great and I’d book here again

The sound proofing on the guest rooms needs to be improved. We were able to hear every door open, toilet flush, and footstep coming from all directions. The hotel provided ear plugs which were helpful. Other than this it was a great stay!

Great overall hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Only complaint was the front desk service during both check- in and check-out. Specifically I asked for an 11:30 check-out on the morning I was leaving and was rudely told that the extra 30 minutes would cost $25. Very rude/unwelcoming staff during the stay.

This was my worst experience in 20 years staying at luxury hotels. I arrived at the hotel after 9pm only to be told by the night manager that they 'ran out of rooms' so they moved me to a Hyatt regency 15 minute away. They didn't bother to call me or email me and tried to blame the lack of contact on Expedia. Additionally, the night manager promised me a king room on a renovated room but obviously I got the opposite when I arrived at the Hyatt. Thankfully, the service at the Hyatt Regency was MUCH better than that provided by the night manager at the Thompson so they took care of me. They didn't even offer me any personal compensation for the significant inconvenience. I am a Lifetime Platinum member with Marriott and I can safely say this was the worst experience I've had at a supposed 5-star hotel.

Poor customer service. The rooms smell like male cologne because it is part of their "signature Thomspon scent." If you have allergies, it is really bad. The bathroom sink kept leaking, and the walls are paper-thin. The curtains don't close all the way, so light comes in all night. One of the front desk employees was rude and dismissive of questions about the booking. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was well appointed and clean. Staff were very friendly and quick to accommodate. They even left us some complimentary treats to recognize our anniversary. Subtle touches such as swapping out the elevator welcome mats for the time of day were noticed. It was a lovely stay and we would come back.

Convenience to downtown and specifically Coors Field is a favored asset. As a non-frequent traveler, I was not up to speed with latest card key uses re: elevator and room power. Check in at the desk might have been a bit more explicit about tech issues. I was unable to have my car parked by valet parking as no one on duty upon our arrival could drive a manual transmission and operate a clutch. The car was left on the curb over night and watched adequately, however, by the valet personnel.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were great! We were coming for a baseball game and Coors Stadium is an easy walk from the hotel. We enjoy eating lunch at their restaurant. Great stay!

It’s a great hotel. I think a hotel of that caliber and price should have bellmen to help with luggage and also coffee service in the morning. The coffee shop is expensive, crowded and one day the coffee was more like tea. Not good. Overall it’s a great hotel. The food is amazing!

We had never been to the Thompson Hotel but went due to its close proximity to Comedy Works. The room was clean and modern with push-button black out curtains that allowed my husband to sleep in late. I thought the “Good morning,” “Good afternoon,” and “Good evening rugs in the elevator were so clever. In all of the hundreds of hotels we’ve stayed in had never seen that! We especially loved our dinner at Chez Maggy. It’s so rare that a meal truly is so delicious and different from anything you’ve ever had. The Crab Toast was spectacular! The next time we do a staycation in Denver, the Thompson will be our first choice!

Pros: walkable location that felt safe. Nice touch at check in - champagne and a chocolate. Cons: room service closed to early. No TVs on the bar playing any of the games. Bathroom door is barn style so you hear everything. No real privacy .

Fantastic hotel in Denver!!! Great location and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Everything is first class and the staff was amazing. Chez Maggy is also absolutely fabulous. This is the place to stay in Denver and we will return soon!!!

This hotel is a scam! It is overrated for the price. Sunday night they had a DJ party on the 6th floor supposedly for guests but the party got flooded from outsiders and there was no hotel management or supervision to control it. It got so noisy that we asked to be moved to another room. The lobby area was also full of young people that were very loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful. I do not recommend this hotel, except for the room which was decent.

I chose the Thompson Denver because of Hyatt's luxury reputation and expected a premium experience. Instead, this was the worst hotel stay I've had in years. From check-in, hospitality was nonexistent. We weren't greeted, and the front desk interaction consisted of little more than "Mmmhmm...name?" I also chose this hotel because it advertises itself as upscale and dog-friendly, yet no one acknowledged my dog or offered any of the advertised pet amenities. Our room smelled like urine, the HVAC never cooled despite being set to 63°, and the hotel had no fans available, forcing us to buy one ourselves. The shower had almost no hot water or water pressure. We also learned the room required leaving a key card in the wall to keep the power on, which is incredibly inconvenient when traveling with a pet. We met several other families walking the halls because their rooms were just as hot. Service throughout the hotel was consistently poor. A soda at the bar took over 10 minutes while the bar was nearly empty. The advertised Social Club wasn't available to guests, and inquiries about the restaurant were met with indifference. The most disturbing part came at checkout when a man made vile, explicit comments to me outside valet before walking into the hotel bar. My son immediately alerted staff, who did nothing until he confronted them a second time after becoming physically ill from the incident. Even then, no one checked on me or made any effort to ensure my safety. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
