It was a very pleasant stay and with parking just outside your room and all on the first floor -- it marries convenience with a Luxe version hotel like you were staying in a fancy Big Sur resort: the rooms have fire places, and balconies which look out onto a forested area behind the hotel. It is also very quiet even though it is relatively close to a highway. Staff are attentive and helpful. The location is an easy 15-minute walk up up Sunset Dr. to Main St. If you are there over the weekend during May-September, make sure to stop by The Inn at Ragged Gardens on a Friday evening for their free summer concert series :)

The Village Inn is a super cute place to stay , the rooms are very spacious and I love that there is a back private deck for the each room. So convenient when you bring your fur baby. Very close to downtown blowing rock. I would totally stay here again. Only rhing i didn't like was the office was closed pretty much the whole time we were there. There office hour's are supposed to be 8am - 8pm we were having trouble with our heater not working and Noone was there to help us at 4pm. The next morning i walked down to the office to get more coffee pods and sugar and they were still closed . So ny husband just drove to the food and got our own kcups and sugars and cups. Because we didn't have any cups.. But other than that it was great. Bring your own coffee cups & k-cups. Also super convenient to a foodlion.

Love staying here. We used to stay here before we permanently moved to the area. Lost power for a couple days and took advantage. My husband judges a hotel by its mattresses and he said about The Village Inn, this is the best sleep I've had in a hotel - ever! I hope the power is out again tonight. It is a charming hotel, with greats enclosed decks with adirondack chairs that face a creek. You feel like you are in nature in the middle of town. Highly recommend!

I liked the mountain log cabin feel to the room. It had a nice back porch with rocking chairs over looking a little creek and woods. The lobby was pretty with the big stone fireplace. The staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. We would stay there again.

So much of what made the Village Inn special in the past was gone. No snacks, nothing but Kerrigan coffee, no happy hour. Some of the electrical outlets were not grounded.

Very quiet, large tv, back balcony with chairs to sit in and listen to the creek. Friendly host. Arrived 2 hours early. Asked to park our car and she said we could check in. Older motel but was updated and would definitely stay again!!

Pleasant and quaint inn, easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable. Nice alcove for reading andxsmall sofa in queen room. Coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave helpful as we packed picnic and "road food" for exploring along BRP. Pet-friendly and nice walk to Blowing Rock Ale House (where we could take our pup.) Creek behind property and lovely pond in front

Nice little old school inn. My room was small but very comfy. They have other rooms sizes. Nice back porch and easy access to downtown and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Pet friendly!

We’ve stayed at The Village Inn in the past and had such wonderful memories of the stay that we booked again for a short weekend getaway. It appears that new ownership brought some sad changes. Their lovely lodge is now deserted. We didn’t encounter another single guest while there. While there was a coffee pot, the breakfast is now gone. There’s a microwave and toaster that still remain, I’m assuming for people who bring their own food. The Otis spunkmeyer oven is the only remnant of the warm cookies I remembered. We visited off season so it’s understandable that it wasn’t filled with guests but next time I’ll Choose another of the many lovely accommodations available in town.

Only complaint was heavy mildew odor in room, even when all closed. Appreciate the reimbursement from double charge. Liked the area around the pond. Just needed updating inside the room, maybe deep cleaning? I understand this was slow season.

There was very limited staff at the property. I stayed 4 nights and the door to the check in desk was always locked and there was no one there. After I first checked in there were still wet towels over the bath tub from the previous people that stayed in my room. I saw a lady outside the next morning that was able to get me dry towels and check my room for clean sheets because I wasn't sure if the sheets on the bed were clean.I was able to get coffee 1 time and because their door was always locked I had to get coffee elsewhere. I would more than likely never stay here again. Plus it was too expensive for what I got.

This property was a big disappointment. It is very run-down and mostly deserted. While we cannot say it was dirty, we did not receive clean towels or maid service on the second day. The bathroom is very tiny and has no countertop space for applying makeup. There is no full-length mirror. The room has a very musty smell as well. We would not ever stay here again.

A charming inn with convenient location and surprisingly had a deck, one thing needed are new mattresses. Do expect road noise because it is located on main road but other than these factors it’s a good little inn.

This property is very charming. Loved the big comfortable bed and the shower water pressure was awesome. It is also walkable to Main Street. The grounds are lovely with a pond in the back and it is also pet friendly. The reason for the 4 star is because the air conditioner was not working in our room. Had it running all night and still not cooling.

Great visit, Blowing Rock is so unique and close to amazing ski resorts. Our room was large enough to fit all 5 of us quite comfortably and included a fridge/microwave.

The lobby is attractive when you walk in, giving a log cabin/rustic personality from the start. The rooms aren’t big but the staff is friendly and the bedding clean and comfortable. Very appropriate for our needs, and affordable. Our room wasn’t by the stream, which is was disappointing, as we looked forward to that feature.

I did not care for the crawfoot tub. Not enough flat space for my large feet when showering. Stumbled a bit. Everything else was fine.

My daughter and I checked in on a Sunday and stayed 2 nights. Room was adequate, property was well kept. Outside area was nice and quiet. There was no one in the office most of the time we were there, and no one else staying at the hotel. No Frills or extras that I saw. My preference is to stay in a hotel with personnel present. I have no plans to return.

We had an unfortunate issue with plumbing in our room and the management of the hotel promptly and without solicitation offered to upgrade us to the Penthouse apartment right across from our room for our last night rather than have us wait for repairs.

The Inn was deserted when we arrive at about 5:00 pm. The front office door was locked and we had to phone to get someone to open up and give us our key. I tried to cancel the booking, but could not and was told that the reservation was prepaid for the night, and was not refundable. All in all the Inn is not what it used to be, kind of tired and no longer provides breakfast. We would not book here again.

We got upgraded to the Penthouse because the cottage we were staying in didn’t have WiFi at that time. We’ve always enjoyed the cottage, but it definitely was a special treat to stay in the Penthouse suite.

Very nice and clean establishment. Check in staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful with questions we had. Added bonus close to everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend!!

We were the only guests at the hotel as the parking lot was empty all three days we were there. The lobby facility was locked closed our entire stay, there were no housekeeping services, the guest room was tiny by comparison to numerous other lodging facilities we utilized on our extended trip and we felt the Inn should not have even been open considering the lack of supervision and services on site. During our 30 day trip this Inn rated dead last in all we stayed at.

This is a great location for accessing everything in the village of Blowing Rock. We walked a short distance to the shops & restaurants on Main Street. The room was comfortable & nice. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a very pleasant stay and with parking just outside your room and all on the first floor -- it marries convenience with a Luxe version hotel like you were staying in a fancy Big Sur resort: the rooms have fire places, and balconies which look out onto a forested area behind the hotel. It is also very quiet even though it is relatively close to a highway. Staff are attentive and helpful. The location is an easy 15-minute walk up up Sunset Dr. to Main St. If you are there over the weekend during May-September, make sure to stop by The Inn at Ragged Gardens on a Friday evening for their free summer concert series :)

Really beautiful! We stayed in one of the suites and it was so laid back and had Everything you would need if u wanted to cook a full family meal! The bedroom was designed just like a cute mountain bedroom should be, with the most comfortable bed and bedding/pillows ever fr. Would definitely book again l.

The Village Inn is a super cute place to stay , the rooms are very spacious and I love that there is a back private deck for the each room. So convenient when you bring your fur baby. Very close to downtown blowing rock. I would totally stay here again. Only rhing i didn't like was the office was closed pretty much the whole time we were there. There office hour's are supposed to be 8am - 8pm we were having trouble with our heater not working and Noone was there to help us at 4pm. The next morning i walked down to the office to get more coffee pods and sugar and they were still closed . So ny husband just drove to the food and got our own kcups and sugars and cups. Because we didn't have any cups.. But other than that it was great. Bring your own coffee cups & k-cups. Also super convenient to a foodlion.

So much of what made the Village Inn special in the past was gone. No snacks, nothing but Kerrigan coffee, no happy hour. Some of the electrical outlets were not grounded.

Pleasant and quaint inn, easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable. Nice alcove for reading andxsmall sofa in queen room. We stayed in the family suite-it was very clean and had a whole kitchen nook with dishes, mini fridge, mini stove and microwave. It was in an excellent location and was in walking distance to famous toastery for breakfast, and twigs restaurant is right next door. It’s also less than a mile from main strip of shops so could easily be walkable to that as well or a short 2 min drive to public parking. We only stayed one night but had an excellent experience! Would most definitely stay again in the family suite (1 bedroom with king bed and pullout sofa in living room with its own linens and pillows in closet)

We’ve stayed at The Village Inn in the past and had such wonderful memories of the stay that we booked again for a short weekend getaway. It appears that new ownership brought some sad changes. Their lovely lodge is now deserted. We didn’t encounter another single guest while there. While there was a coffee pot, the breakfast is now gone. There’s a microwave and toaster that still remain, I’m assuming for people who bring their own food. The Otis spunkmeyer oven is the only remnant of the warm cookies I remembered. We visited off season so it’s understandable that it wasn’t filled with guests but next time I’ll Choose another of the many lovely accommodations available in town.

Location and cleanliness was fine. The room smelled musty and I felt the advertising was nicer than the actual property and room. I was dissapointed that the lounge was not encouraged to be used as the big screen was not in working condition. For an Inn I expected a lounge and restaurant.

We enjoyed our mountain escape to the Village Inn. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked the easy access to walk downtown. We definitely plan to stay here again with our fur baby.

we had an excellent stay, the room bedding was excellent and cleaning. Also there is one separate sitting area/room which is luxury. The backyard has a patio table with chairs which is neat and peaceful. I liked it very much, it exceeded my expectation.

Stayed 3 nights. Nice little motel close to downtown blowing rock. Office was closed when we arrived so Staff called me prior to check in and left a key in the drop box. Room was clean. Mattress and pillows were a little to firm so I didn’t sleep well. Bathroom was clean, water pressure was great but the water was warm but not hot the entire time. The office was closed the entire time and the room was not cleaned daily or towels exchanged. Overall a good experience but probably would stay somewhere else next visit.

I just wanted/needed rest and peaceful getaway. The fire alarm chirped in the middle of the night, called emergency number when removing batteries didn’t work and stood on chair while talked through disconnecting. Heater didn’t work. Turned off at first as room was like a sauna. Turned on second night, no warm air, slept in layers. I’m a 62 year old woman with my service dog and put in a room next to entry with everyone walks by right by. I left on tears
